This place is absolutely incredible. The best salon experience I have yet to have in my life, I have been a loyal customer for over a year. Jackie is the best stylist, I have gotten amazing balayage treatments, she is an expert colorist. She also knows just how to match colors perfect to you and and gives really nice looking hair cuts and blowouts. She has helped my hair stay healthy by also suggesting deep conditioning treatments every couple weeks. She is always positive and cheerful and makes all her clients feel like a new person when they come out of the salon!

First of all, we'd want to say that Johnny gave a good massage and did a good job. Sofia was polite, but it was too soft and gentle. Our hotel recommended this place and it did not hold up. More expencive than getting a massage in Norway! The staff was coloring their hair while sitting in the reception and they did not seem to be bothered. Find a cheaper place. More value for the money.

I purchased a Groupon to Luxe Den salon by 34th street and it was the most humiliating experience I've ever had. I called before purchasing the Groupon to make sure they had availability for the time I wanted to go in, the rep I spoke to was friendly and scheduled my appointment with no questions asked. When I first arrived I was greeted by a very unfriendly women (I don't think it was me, she was unfriendly towards everyone I saw walk in) and she asked me to have a seat in the waiting area. After about 5 minutes the manager came up to me and asked what I was there for. I told him I scheduled an appointment for Shampoo, conditioner and blow out, he then told me "I'm sorry we can't do your type of hair". Not only was I extremely upset because I traveled from Queens but he did not even have the decency to pull me to the side, he said this in the waiting area where others were waiting and standing around. How is this okay? A hair salon that can only service a certain "hair type". I will be sure to let everybody know about my experience

This is my first time here and will be my last time. I purchased a Groupon for a cut, treatment, and full highlights. I showed pictures to Elba, my hair stylist, for the color and the hair cut I wanted. LIKE: Nice, spacious salon. I like the cut that Elba did DISLIKE: The color that came out was not really close to the color of what I asked for. When I was checking out, the receptionist told me that my stylist added toner, $50 after I colored, but my stylist never notified me the EXTRA charges. I don't know why I didn't confront the stylists at that time (maybe because I was so tired), usually I will tell them that I wasn't aware of the $50. I believe that the stylist should ask me first before adding toner to my hair. CONCLUSION: I felt I've been ripped off. I will definitely not be going back.

I made an appointment with Keveon W, who truly is the King of balayage! He was able to color my hair better than I ever expected! I had been to Luxe den spa the week before for a spa deal and it was very kind of Nadia to recommend her. This was a wonderful experience. She made my hair look AMAZING!! I’ve always had a bad relationship with my hair, I’m so self conscious about it, I would rarely wear it out of a ponytail. my nails look mediocre, and they should not be for this price or the looks of this place. the nail tech was inexperienced and uncomfortable with doing my fingernails but they forced her to (I assume so she could learn). she panicked while doing my gel manicure and tried to leave it worse looking than it is. So it's a struggle to get all of my hair the same shade of blonde. The end result was fantastic and Aziza was both friendly and professional. meant to write this review for couple of weeks. I had a perfect experience at this salon. Elba was my colorist and what can I say, she is extremely talented, her work is flawless. I had balayage before, and last time I left salon with nice results, but you can still see tiny blonde streaks. I did not want that, I want my color to be as natural as possible. I asked for seamless blonde with soft gradient from roots to ends and Elba did just that! I will definitely come back!

Went to Natasha for another color & cut & had a terrible experience! Natasha didn't listen to a word I said regarding color or cut. She just did her own thing and non of what she did was what I reuested or wanted. I asked for both High & low lights. She gave me only highlights and said, "Oh no, you want to be blond, trust me." This necessitated a 2nd visit a few days later & another $100 on top of the $150 I had already spent! Also, I requested that she just trim as I'd like to keep my hair as long as possible. She "showed me" 1/2 inch of hair she had cut from my length to confirm that that was all she would take off. Well 15 minutes later, 3-4 inches of length were gone. My new review of 1 star stands! DO NOT LET NATASHA near your hair! Natasha is awesome! Awesome color, awesome cut! What more could you ask for!

Elba is so sweet and genuinely cares about the health of your hair. When I ask her for something specific, she makes sure to tell me the best way to get to that so my hair isn't damaged. She is an absolutely amazing artist at balayage and can work off of pictures you bring in, which is super helpful! The best part is that the balayage lasts a long time as it grows out, so I only have to go once (maybe twice at absolute most) each YEAR! Plus, the salon vibe is so cute! Elba is incredible and I definitely recommend this salon!

This place is the real deal. I read all the reviews and wasn't completely sold but, after going, I saw that they deliver. I had an appointment with Elba for Balayage. She did a great job and made sure I was completely happy with the color. I was apprehensive about coloring because my hair tends to go red immediately. The stylists are very highly skilled in Balayage and ombre and I would not hesitate to recommend this salon to anyone. Everyone from the receptionist to the stylist to the booker(Nicole) are amazing and very accommodating. This is definitely my new place for hair.

Well priced but the lady cut my hair in literally 5 minutes and didn’t give it a once over and now it’s lopsided. I had to ask her to even out my bangs. Found this Salon on Groupon, I called to make an appointment, was transferred from one voicemail to another three times! This merry go round eventually ended with an “mailbox was full” statement. Just to give insight on my exact experience - rings 4times a males voice comes on and tells you the hours of operation then says press zero to leave a message for an appointment- ringing again, you’re being transferred to Alana’s front desk- mailbox is full prompt - to be transferred to reception *8 - back to Alana’s desk.... back to full mailbox Needless to say, I am now attempting to cancel this Groupon and on to locating a salon that actually answers their calls!

Is sad that a person cannot give a "0" rating. This is the absolute worst place to deal with. I made reservations for my girlfriend to get a massage session and haircut. After paying over $300, I asked for my email confirmation of my purchase. After not receiving it that day I called back the next day. I was told that only a manager could send emails. I waited until he was there to speak with him. He told me the email was sent twice and he couldn't resend it. I checked the junk mail and all; nothing! He said he would send a picture of the computer screen from his phone. Not only was that unprofessional but I couldn't see anything on the screen. The next day I was blocked from responding to the owners phone. I also called the facility over ten time without an answer. I had to file a claim with my credit card provider just to get a refund. Worst experience ever.

I've been a regular customer of Luxe Den since 2014 - it's the best place around to relax and unwind. Tub rooms are so luxurious. I appreciate the gorgeous tile work, your choice of music, and comfortable resting areas and showers built into each room. The staff, receptionists, and therapists are great at what they do, and in my experience much better on average than what you will find elsewhere. Stacy is a miracle worker and my regular masseuse of choice - she has taken the time and care to get to know my tight spots, areas to avoid, and techniques that work well for me. I appreciate all she does to keep my neck, shoulder, and back tension in check on the regular. Can't recommend her highly enough.

I was greeted by friendly staff at the door, and both the masseuse and Juliette the woman who did my nails treated me like I was the most important person they saw that day. Prices are super reasonable especially in this region. Also my shellac lasted a full two weeks.. and I wash dishes 4x a day!

Love this Salon! I went for the first time last week, and I was very impressed. My stylist was Elba, and she did a fantastic job with my hair. I've been on a serious budget and used box color twice for the first time ever - never ideal - and it faded to a very brassy red (I wish I had a better before pic - you can tell that my hair is much lighter on top, and fades to a darker color) but Elba fixed me right up. She was direct, and talked me through what the process would be and gave me an idea of what she would be able to achieve that day. Eventually I want to get to a nice dark brown balayage with blonde highlights. This place is a little pricey, but it's worth it. I will definitely be keeping Elba as my Colorist. She's incredibly experienced, and I have no doubt she has my or any other client's best interest at heart. I'd recommend this salon to anyone wanting to try something new. If you're in need of a color correction, Elba was great!

Reposting of my yelp review: -- Sometimes I read a classic melodramatic yelp review and think "surely you have issues beyond your middling appetizer." Well my chance came today and I'm not gonna squander it. Complete with full verbatim communication with Daniella ("management") and screenshots of her appalling responses. (The other employees other than my masseuse and Daniella were actually kind and tried to make the situation better -- although they were clearly not empowered to make any financial decisions.) -- Hi Daniella, I just finished my session and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The facilities were nice and the steam room + jacuzzi + shower were great. However, my massage was awful. After she began, I asked if she could do deep tissue. She said she could but "it's extra, $130." I said ok. This was ABSOLUTELY NOT a deep tissue massage. And I've gotten a lot. In fact, this was probably the softest massage of any kind I've ever gotten. When I asked for more pressure she got defensive saying "I can't. This is a deep tissue." She did not use her elbows or knuckles and focused absolutey no time on getting out knots. So I basically just laid there for the rest of the session as she clearly just "went through the motions". I was extremely frustrated and disappointed for getting nothing that I thought I paid for. To make matters worse, she ended the massage before she ever even massaged my arms! I told her this and she said "massage is 1 hr have a good weekend" and walked out. I looked at the clock. It was 730. The massage started at 635. She just decided to not provide the full-time. I've never had a masseuse forget a full body part! Other issues: no soap in shower in men's locker room. Only shampoo and conditioner. When I was done showering and changing the lights were off everywhere and no water to be found! Also the masseuse just disappeared. (Not surprising) I hope you can make this right, not just to prevent a bad review but also to do right by your customers.

I was taken here by my boyfriend as a birthday gift on Monday. One of the most memorable birthday gifts he's given me so far. This was such an amazing experience for the both of us. The second we walked Nadia, the receptionist was extremely professional and sweet. We were scheduled for a couples rendezvous in which we were taken to a room and given massages, wine and chocolate. His masseuse was Nancy and I had a gentleman from Dominican republic ( if that helps, can't remember his name), they were both very attentive and paid attention to problem areas. We both felt so relaxed after receiving our massages. Following our massages we were taken into the jacuzzi room, which also has the steam room in it, and given 45 minutes of private time in there. Once in the room we were given our milk and honey scrubs on a soap dish, it left our skin feeling so refreshed.Once it came time for us to leave we were charged $21 for tax, gratuity is up to the customer, although they have a recommended percentage fee. I do intend on coming back to Luxe Den and I highly recommend this place to couples.

I came to Luxe Den after searching on Google for someone who could save and fix my terrible balayage-gone-wrong experience that was done at a different salon. I have gone here a few times now, the first time I had an amazing balayage experience with Elba. The second time I got a blow out with Galina who is also pretty amazing. Third time I went back to Elba for a balayage refresher but things did not go as planned. I spent about 5 hours in there with them redoing the base of my hair since it turned a sickly shade of red. However, Elba didnt give up until it was rectified. I appreciate that they tried to fix what happened and at the end of it, it turned out ok.

My partner and I bought the couples rendezvous package from groupon and had an amazing time here! I was worried given some negative reviews about being treated poorly when using a groupon vs paying full price, but I was pleasantly surprised! I had to call in a few times but the receptionists I spoke to (Nadia and Roxanne) were lovely and helpful. The massage itself was a fantastic full body massage. We then had some time to use a scrub, relax in a jacuzzi, and drink some wine - all in a private room! They don’t serve champagne as the site suggests, so be warned if that’s important to you. The facilities were very clean and large. We’ve never been more relaxed! Would recommend.

We arrived early and were greeted by one of the masseuses who brought us to the locker rooms to change and directed us to a lounging area. When it was our time to start our package the masseuses explained how everything was going to go, from the massages to the private time. It was very very clean in the spa as well! The hairstylist I got didn't communicate at all with me. I said I had a picture refrence for LENGTH. Sje glanced at it for 2 seconds. She said she was going to style it similarly, but I said no. She did not ask what I would prefer instead and did it anyway. Before she styled and dried it she didn't check in to see if the length was OK. Regardless of a refrence (that she looked at briefly), it's important to check this, as a customer is paying a lot of money here, so you have to make sure it's right. When I said I would have liked it a little shorter politely, she didn't offer to fix it, or apologize, she just said that she was following the reference. Which she really wasn't as the cit in the refrence is inverted and mine is just sort of layered with the length the same around. Communicate with your clients.
