I have temperamental skin and am quite shy about having my pores looked at so closely by someone. On my first visit to Joanna Vargas Skincare, Joanna instantly made me feel at ease and I quickly forgot about my shyness. I found Joanna’s techniques gentle and I felt very relaxed during my facial. The organic skin care products used during my facial smelled and felt incredible. After my facial my skin felt clean, soft, and hydrated (it actually felt like my pores were breathing). My pores were free of blackheads and the stubborn blemishes I had before the facial healed within days after the facial. I like that the effects of the facial lasted long after the facial itself. The spa is a beautiful and relaxing environment and I found the staff friendly and professional. I love Joanna Vargas Skincare products and appreciate that the ingredients are natural. The Exfoliating Mask is one of my favorites as it keeps my pores unclogged without drying my skin.

Amongst walking in with a lot of anxiety because my skin is uber sensitive and I had a rash prior to going in everything felt and was incredibly rejuvenating. My skin after the mask and red light felt brand new and really really made me feel a lot better about myself and honestly just looked a million times better. This is one of the best! The environment is very calm and relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. I see Sarah Brady for all of my services. Not only is she an amazing esthetician but she truly is a skin care specialist.Any products she recommends have always been great and exactly what I needed.The pricing is average for Manhattan. It's a little high for the suburbs but you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend this salon to all my friends and family.

My esthetician is Sarah and she is absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the Oxygen Purifying Treatment as well as an LED light treatment. The facial was relaxing and wonderful in every way. My session in the LED bed was the best 20 minute nap of my life, but with a huge bonus: my skin was glowing--even days after the facial. The treatments at this spa are really like nothing you can receive elsewhere. Highly recommend!

There simply are not enough words to describe the facial I received today at Joanna Vargas! I had the Oxygen Purifying Facial, by Sarah. From the moment I walked in, I felt luxurious. Everyone on staff is welcoming and friendly. I feel like Sarah taught me how to properly wash my face. She was so gentle but meticulous (I had quite a few blemishes). I felt so incredibly relaxed and calm. I, of course, fell asleep. Which is such a nice break from NYC life. The results were amazing. I haven't had a facial in over a year and you would never know it to look at my skin. There was barely any redness (and I needed a lot of extractions). My skin looked and felt AMAZING. I already had high expectations of Joanna Vargas Spa before even getting there. The salon was spacious and clean and I immediately felt relaxed once I was seated. The staff was very welcoming as well. My aesthetician Lena was extremely amazing and professional and made me very comfortable throughout the treatment. I received the Triple Crown Facial which consisted of a three part process. The micro-dermabrasion was gentle and made my skin feel clean and fresh. Next, the micro current helped tighten my skin by stimulating the face muscles. It felt GREAT! The oxygen facial treatment was the icing on the cake. My skin was glowing and very noticeable after I was finished. I can't wait to go back for another treatment. I've been using the Joanna Vargas exfoliating mask for a month now and I love it!

I have been testing Joanna's Vitamin C Face Wash and Daily Serum. The face wash has a wonderful citrus scent and is so refreshing! It cleanses my skin without drying it out. The serum is very light and sinks right into my skin. It leaves my skin glowing and soft. After using it for a couple of weeks I have noticed that my skin is smoother and a bit tighter. I am excited to continue using it to see what results I will see.

When I went for my first facial at Joanna Vargas' salon, I considered it an extravagant indulgence. But the experience was so special and the result was so good that I decided I had to do it regularly. The atmosphere at the salon is calm and inviting. The young ladies at reception are delightful. Joanna is so knowledgeable and easy to be with. Being pampered by someone with such grace and confidence makes me feel very special. I've been to many of the best spas in the city, but often felt they were a little cold. Here it is very personal - time stands still and it's all about you. I love the products she uses. They smell and feel great. She uses a micro current wand that does some kind of magic--I feel like it gives whatever is under my skin a workout and the result is not just topical but seems deeper. It's not just the skin that looks younger but some kind of anti-gravity thing is going on with my whole face afterwards. My face looks younger and healthier and somehow more defined. I love the skin care products she uses and bought the face wash which I love.

One of the best facials I've gotten in years! They are very punctual. Clean facility. Very friendly staff. I was greeted by a beautiful sweetheart esthetician named Anastasia. She's AMAZING at her job made me feel super relaxed. The treatment performed was the Joanna Vargas signature Triple crown facial. I can't believe in one session, it significantly reduced the appearance of fine lines and the undereye bags from all those countless sleepless hours. Not only does Anastasia perform your facial, she gives you a lot of helpful tips on how to achieve healthy skin and maintain it. Immediately after my facial I went into the LED bed light. This you probably need few sessions to see real results but it was so relaxing I fell asleep :) Not to worry, the light shuts off automatically after 20 minutes. This LED bed brings down inflammation, reducing cellulite, indigestion and bloating great at healing wounds! So excited to try it again! They sent me off with CV skin lab calming lotion which is light and airy with all natural and superior ingredients along with Joanna Vargas eye cream which smells absolutely heavenly. Not like the other spas who tries to sell you 100 products you probably don't really need. I think I found my new favorite spa!

Before I started coming to the Joanna Vargas Salon I had just lost 60lbs and felt great but was still ashamed of my body when I realized the stretch marks I was left with. I tried every cream you could think of but nothing worked. I heard about Joanna Vargas and her patented LED bed and decided to give it a try. When I walked into the Joanna Vargas Salon it was like walking into an oasis on 5th Avenue. The space is beautiful and relaxing and the staff warm and welcoming. Over a couple of months I noticed a dramatic change and there was a visible difference in the stretch marks all across my stomach, back and legs. In addition to that, my skin was glowing and still is! I also noticed that overall there were less and less wrinkles on my face. Joanna and her staff made me feel so comfortable coming to the salon and helped me with my problem I had nearly given up on. I highly recommend the salon and the LED bed.

Joanna was immediately by my side day in and day out. She made sure I had all of the best products (her products are amazing; especially the rejuvenating serum!) and consistently checked my skin to treat it the best she could, and I quickly recovered with better skin than I've ever had before. I am a huge fan of EVERTHING at the Joanna Vargas Salon from my warm interactions with the front desk girls (Hi Christine! :)) to the facials themselves to their wonderful products. It is never too early to start an anti-aging skin routine and I feel like the Triple Crown facial is a great way to get started. You leave with your skin looking clean, smooth, tight and dewy. My sister, who I only see once a year, noticed a change in my skin when I started doing the Triple Crowns consistently. I recently started the RF facials which is a great compliment to the Triple Crown and leaves my skin feeling tight and plump. The products they use are organic and all natural which is important to me. I love the JV Rejuvenating Serum and Eye Cream. The Eminence line is all organic and smells amazing. Jessica is an amazing esthetician. She is sweet and super knowledgable about a variety of skin related things like facial massage. She recommends great products for me but is never ever pushy which I greatly appreciate. I have tried many facials and salons over the years but I am sticking with the JV Salon for the long haul.

The Triple Crown Facial at Joanna Vargas is not to be missed! Jessica, at the NYC location, completely impressed with every aspect of this facial experience! Jessica was sweet, funny and a total professional. She was so knowledgeable! The triple crown facial consists of microdermabrasion, microcurrent treatment and finally, oxygen infusion therapy. Jessica took her time with everything but I was most impressed with the time the aestheticians take for the microcurrent (which- to those that might ask- does not hurt at all! Every aspect of this facial was really relaxing)- Jessica did two, yes TWO rounds on my whole face to lift and tighten...like a gym for your face! I left feeling like I had the most sculpted cheekbones in history. The oxygen infusion was equally impressive- this tool sprays a super fine mist of hydrating serum onto the skin while oxygen is pushed out and into your skin. It's an incredibly refreshing experience- especially in this NYC summer heat! The hour long treatment flew by but was never rushed- it was truly a relaxing treat! The rooms are big and spacious and overlook Bryant Park...everything about my experience was just lovely. Would one hundred percent recommend the JV team to everyone!

The signature Triple Crown facial did a good job in cleansing and softening my face, but the results were not nearly dramatic enough to justify the regular $250 price tag. The staff is so kind and nonjudgmental-- have had such annoying stressful experiences in the past with facialists who lament that my skin is difficult and left me red, blotchy, and self conscious. You leave Joanna Vargas salon looking and feeling so healthy, glowy, and relaxed-- literally fell asleep during my facial. Honestly, it's worth every penny.

JV Skincare is the place to go if you want flawless skin. I have trusted the girls at the JV salon since I began getting facials - If it wasn't for them, I can't even imagine what state my face would be in. I get the oxygen purifying facial which works so well at clearing up my skin and preventing future breakouts. Every time I get a facial, my skin stays healthy for weeks to come. Jessica and Elena excel at extractions and the ladies at the front desk are so lovely. Since I recently moved to California I haven't been able to get facials as much as I used to but I still use JV products to help in between treatments and they really work - I highly recommend the exfoliating mask, the cleanser (which smells AMAZING) and the rejuvenating serum.

I’ve been using five of Joanna Vargas’s skincare products for about 3 weeks. I’m in my late thirty’s so I have what I like to call “mature skin.” I also have very sensitive skin and was nervous about trying something new on my face. The first product I used was the vitamin C face wash. As soon as I put it on my face, I was in love. It has a very organic citrus aroma and it’s a very light weight wash. As soon as I washed it off my face, my skin was silky smooth. I’ve always experienced silky skin after doing a scrub, but not from face wash. Washing my face before bed used to be a chore, now I look forward to it. The second product I use is the daily serum. I use it after washing my face with the vitamin C facewash. This also has a very fresh and organic smell to it. This product really gave my skin a glow. I love getting into bed and my husband complementing how beautiful my skin looks. (And I’m not wearing any makeup) The third product I use is the daily hydrating cream. I use this at after applying the daily serum. The daily hydrating cream has really helped my skin. It’s winter so my skin was extremely dry due to the cold air and wind. My forehead is no longer flaky and it hasn’t caused me to break out. My kids and husband love the smell of it as well. The fourth product I use is the rejuvenating serum. This serum has given my face a more youthful look. My wrinkles haven’t gone away but they are less pronounced and I have a fresh glow that last all day. I have ALWAYS worn foundation on my face. Now, I don’t even need to wear foundation. My skin is so beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments by coworkers and friends; they always want to know what kind of foundation I’m using. They’re always shocked when I tell them I’m not wearing any. When I do wear foundation, my skin still has a beautiful glow but I love the fact that no longer need to wear foundation. I should mention that after applying the rejuvenating serum, I also apply a small amount of the hydrating cream. The fifth product I use is the exfoliating mask. This too is a very light weight scrub. It has a great smell and I look forward to the nights when I get to use it. I use it twice a week and let it set on my face for about 5 minutes. When I wash it off, my face is silky smooth and looks fresh and bright. I am truly in love with these five products and never thought my skin could look and feel the way it does. I love the glow of my skin and how my wrinkles are less noticeable. I feel I look younger which is never a bad thing.

This place used to be great but it has since devolved to a hot mess. They've added a ton of new estheticians who have no idea what they're doing. They have crazy aggressive sales tactics. One sold my then boyfriend a product for a skin problem that the product doesn't help with. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a sales target to meet, super inappropriate for a place that's supposed to do facials. Kim the manager is super rude and misinformed. She once tried to sell me a product with vitamin c without asking about my skin type. As someone with sensitive skin, it would have turned my skin into a hot mess. Theyre 100% greenwashers, claiming that their skincare is organic and free of nasty chemicals, which is not the case if you look carefully at the ingredients. They're also very aggressive in pushing radio frequency, something that at my age I don't need. I've also been trying to get an appt for 4 weeks and I've emailed them 5 times. Not a single response. I literally just want my money back for he last 2 facials I have with them and call it a day. Please give me my money back and let me go to a place that values my business.

Received my first facial the other day and I definitely do not regret it. I was quite hesitant at first, but my aesthetician, Evie, made me feel comfortable and relieved. She explained everything throughout the facial and informed me of how to take care of my skin. The specific treatment that I received was the Oxygen Purifying facial and the LED bed light. In addition, Evie's extractions were not painful at all and I was not left with any red marks on my face. She always asked me if the amount of pressure was okay and it was actually pretty relaxing. After the facial, my face felt clean and my pores were unclogged. The place itself is very elegant and has a serene atmosphere. Furthermore, I was recommended the Vitamin C face wash because all i needed was a natural cleanser that could also remove makeup and not leave my skin feeling dry. I absolutely cannot wait to try it. I've been looking to get a facial done to prepare my skin for my wedding which is coming up in a few months. I went to Joanna Vargas for my first facial experience through a recommendation of my friend, and I couldn't have gone to a better place. I was nervous since my expectation was so high, but I see why celebrities come here all the time now. As soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by friendly receptionists, who hung my coat for me and offered tea while I shortly waited for my esthetician, Elena. (Just a side note, this place smells amazing... so smoothing and calming.) Elena was very courteous and kind. She answered all of my questions and explained every step of what she was doing, and why she was doing it, which gave me comfort knowing that she is an expert and she knew what she was doing. She further examined my skin and gave me advice on how to take care of my skin better with the skin care product line Joanna Vargas has, especially with dryness and sensitivity of my skin. The oxygen facial especially felt WONDERFUL. The cooling of the skin felt amazing and I can tell my skin was instantly hydrated, which gave it a flawless glow and silkiness. Elena highly recommended that I try using the Daily Hydrating Cream after my facial & I cannot wait until I try it and see the results! Overall, I highly recommend this place, whether if you are a regular or a first-timer. I cannot imagine getting better service or facial anywhere else.

Today I got a triple crown facial with Audrey for the first time ever and it was AMAZING! I was a bit worried when I walked into the building because it seems kind of old, but once I walked into their spa it’s so welcoming and clean. All their staff was friendly, their waiting area was cozy, and they offered me tea while I waited. Once I got into my robe and my facial was going to start, Audrey explained how the facial works and what it does. The facial started out with microdermoabrasion, which exfoliated dead skin cells from my skin. After she went on to a procedure called microcurrent, which I had never heard nor had done before on my skin. This part basically shocks your skin on the inside to contract your muscles and tone the skin (no pain I promise). Audrey did half of my face and then showed me with a mirror, I was amazed with the instant results! I sometimes retain liquids so this was able to get rid of it from my face and tone it immediately. The last step consisted of oxygen with vitamins in it all over my face. Audrey then went on and applied Joanna Vargas organic serum, moisturizer, and SPF to finish off. I was very happy with my results and I can’t wait to get my next one.

Absolutely the worst facial I've ever had. The esthetician said that I have black hair on my noise and that those are not blackheads. She also started doing extractions after she used a mask, and said I will have red face because there was no steaming done. The lady was absolutely unprofessional. The worst experience ever. She also spent at least 10 min trying to up-sell me for a different facial, and when I said no, I will keep the same facial, she came back, and said I can't believe you don't want to do our signature treatment.

I just had my first facial at Joanna Vargas and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is so relaxing - I was already in pure bliss when I put on the soft facial robe and got cozy on the table. Everything is SUPER clean and well kept. Melissa, my esthetician, was fantastic. She looked at my skin thoroughly and advised what she thought would be the best facial for my skin type. We went with the Triple Crown Facial, which includes a microcurrent which basically sculpts your face, and it was like nothing I have ever had before. She did one side of my face first, showing me the difference and it really was incredible. It was the perfect balance of everything - microdermabrasion, the microcurrent and various masks, each one providing a completely different feeling. Omg BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I went to get the triple crown treatment but the lady that attended me recommended me first a cleaning to unclog my pores, I was really scared because I have had cleanings before in other spas and they always ended up damaging my skin a lot, I was worried of waking up the next day super swollen and with red spots but this was totally the opposite they were super gentle with my skin, all the products they use are amazingly good! My skin today even looks younger and nourished. Definitely coming back next month to continue my treatment.

I have recently started using the Exfoliating Mask and the Daily Hydrating Cream from the Joanna Vargas line. I have to say that they are both excellent products. The mask leaves your face feeling really refreshed and soft and it is gentle enough to use every night. The daily cream feels really silky and soft and makes my face feel very soft and gentle. It also has a really nice light scent which I like. My face looks really soft, rejuvenated and has a nice healthy glow to it. I definitely recommend these two products and know that if you try them, you will be very happy with them.

For the last two weeks, I have been using Joanna Vargas' facial products, including the Vitamin C Cleanser, the Exfoliating Mask, the Daily Serum, and the Daily Moisturizer. At first, I was skeptical that the results from these products would justify the price tag. All of that skepticism is gone now, as my skin looks better than it ever has before. After just a few days, I noticed that my skin was markedly softer and smoother, and after about a week, my normally red and patchy skin was even, moisturized, and calm. The cleanser smells amazing, and the Daily Serum feels *so* good when patted onto clean, damp skin. Though it doesn't mention it on the label, the Daily Moisturizer has SPF in it, making it an incredibly versatile moisturizer that I can wear day-to-day without worry. Though I think these products achieve the best results when used together, if you're hesitant I would go for the cleanser and serum at first, because those products are basically flawless. If you're in the New York City area,I would definitely try to make it in for a facial - I'd be willing to bet that afterwards, you'll be convinced to take her products home. Can't say enough great things about these products - my skin will be forever grateful!

If you don’t know anything about facials and skin care this place would impress you. I have been getting facials for over a decade - not in NYC where it’s triple priced, but from expert estheticians in brooklyn that have been doing them for decades . My pores get clogged easily and the reason I go for facials is for a deep cleaning. Heres my honest review of this place for those looking for the same. This place is hyped up way more than it deserves. The glitz and glam does not impress me. The woman that did my OPF facial was more interested in selling the products than benefiting my skin. She was trying to make bs small talk about things she could'nt care less about. I will not say the name just because I’m really not trying to put anyone down, my only intention is giving an honest review of my experience. Also her skin was dry and looked horrible. The facial went ok, however it’s everything my facial lady does, including the technology, at her own home and charges a fraction of the price. During the facial she was telling me about the products she’s using with the intention to sell. I have an expertise in skin care, it’s my passion so I know which products actually do what’s promised and which ones to stay away from. After my facial they tried selling me different packages and gave me no choice but to schedule the next appointment. It felt so forced almost like saying no is not an option. Which is a great sales tactic but then they informed about the price change if I want a “master” esthetician. Um for 300 bucks I sure hope whoever’s extracting my face is a master at it. Which made me wonder how many years experience does a master level have? They said about 5. LOL what a joke. I’ll go back to my facial lady that is 57 years old and looks 35, with thirty years of experience, that charges 100$ for a deep cleansing facial including microdermabrasion and a oxygen mask.

Firstly the salon is in an amazing location, its not too big were you feel intimidated when walking in and the staff are lovely and friendly and helped me pick out the products I wanted. I am a huge fan of the exfoliating mask, it has completely cleared my acne. I have had adult acne for years and this is the only product that has worked. It smells divine, is a lovely texture and makes my skin look amazing, not only has it cleared my skin, the texture has impoved, fine lines and pores. I have also used the Eden face masks which are equally as lovely.

She was very knowledgeable on skin care and helped advise me on how to keep my face looking healthy and to maintain the amazing after-facial glow she provided me with. My cousin has been raving about how she is in love with this new skincare product line she started using, so I decided to give it a try. I'm hesitant when trying new products because my skin is combination, super dry in certain areas and oily in others. I love the rejuvenating serum from the Joanna Vargas Skincare line. No matter how much cream, lotion, or moisturizer I apply I always need to re-apply. But with this product, one application was enough to leave my cheeks super moisturized and dewy. The best place EVER!!! I have been coming for years now, and I love this place. Everybody is always so nice, and attentive. I started with Joanna, and after some resistance (I mean, who wants to stop letting Joanna work on their face? She has the softest hands!), I let her convince me to start working with Melissa, and boy am I glad she did. Melissa is FANTASTIC! I have been working with her for years, and I won't go to anyone else. Not only is she excellent at her job (my face always look fantastic!), but she is the nicest, sweetest person you want to meet. The entire process, from check in to check out, was wonderfully smooth, comfortable, and elegant. Anastasia has an incredible touch and walked me through each step of the facial. It was helpful to understand not only the benefits of treatment but also to talk through my current skincare regiment. She politely offered insight on how to improve my daily routine and suggested an exfoliating mask by Eminence, which I have been using religiously with great results. Just spent a wonderful morning at Joanna Vargas Spa for my first facial. It was all I expected and more! The minute you walk into the spa you are welcomed by friendly staff and a sense of relaxation. After a few minutes Krystal came to take me back for my facial. I had the 60 minute Triple Crown Facial. It was relaxing and invigorating all in one! And Krystal was very skilled in her techniques. It starts with a gentle microdermabrasion to exfoliate the dead skin cells. Then a microcurrent treatment to tighten the skin and reduce fine lines. It finishes with an oxygen treatment that breaths life back into your skin and promotes a beautiful glow about your face. All the while Krystal expertly messaged and pampered my tired face. The before and after results were definitely visible. My jawline was more defined and my face was more uplifted. But the most dramatic result I saw was the lifting of my eyebrows! It was like a had a mini face lift, especially in my eye area. My eyes were much more open because my eyebrows had lifted remarkably. I will definitely be back. I'm an esthetician and my facial at Joanna Vargas was one of the true highlights of my life! Ulyana was so warm and caring, I was lucky to get her. You feel like a celebrity here, the atmosphere is pristine, black and white Art Deco and in addition to Joanna's own line, they use one of my favorite lines of all time...Eminence. The microcurrent effect on my face blew me away...I could actually see the lift it created! One of the things I also loved, was the perfect blend of music they had in the room. It was ocean music on one system and gotye on the other. A strange detail I know but there was something so relaxing and cool about it. A nice twist of the regular boring spa music. There are a lot of choices for facials in NYC, but if you want to make sure you have an incredible experience, make your appointment here. I'm sure all of the girls are great here, but definitely try to get Ulyana!
