I went yesterday with a mild neck pain and after the massage the pain was gone. My masseuse was amazing. Very professional; pressure was perfect and soothing, it was very comfortable. The room was very clean too, good smelling rooms. Truly, this place is a perfect place to relax. I highly recommend to anyone.

Found a great place for a soothing massage. I hardly get myself a good massage so tried it out for once. Honestly, it was really a great choice I had made. The masseuse was really great! All the aching parts were gone by soothing massage. Been a long time since I had a really good massage that I actually slept during the session. Felt really good and I feel revitalized after that. Truly I would recommend this spot to everyone!

Garden Retreat is amazingly consistent for their high quality massage even over all of these years. I wish I had time to go every week! I've been to Garden Retreat a few times and the massage is always great. The masseuses are attractive and friendly and I've never been disappointed with the quality and consistency of the service. The facilities are clean and comfortable. There are real sheets on the massage tables that are always fresh and ironed. I like the fact that they manage the locker room carefully so I didn't have to share it with guys I didn't know. It is a very well run place. $80 for one hour and I usually tip $60.

Garden Retreat is a gem of a place. In all the years I’ve gone there, I’ve never been disappointed. The management finds masseuses who are well trained and personable. When they ask if I want a strong or medium pressure for my massage, they know what strong means and are not afraid apply the necessary pressure to release the tension in my muscles. At so many other places, no matter what kind of massage you request, everything is a tepid, rushed medium that can end up more annoying than relaxing. Most recently, in the last few weeks, I had wonderful massages from Lisa and Cici. Lisa uses long, strong, slow strokes that seem to envelope the muscles she is working on. Cici made wonderful use of her elbows and acupressure down my back. I highly recommend both of them.

Amazing experience at Garden Retreat Spa, worth every cent. They make you feel so relaxed and comfortable during the session. The therapist is great; made sure that she targeted the areas that needed massage to relieve the pain. I never had the feeling that the lady was rushing, she really took her time and did a very well job. Very Professional! If you want to pamper yourself, this is a great place to go.

Garden Retreat Spa gives a great massage. The Korean and Chinese staff are friendly and attractive. I've been there many times over the last few years and am always happy with the quality of the massage and its consistency across different staff members. It is very well managed. There is a small locker room, but they manage it more like a department store changing room with one customer at a time to provide privacy. The facilities are comfortably nice and always extremely clean. Massage tables always have real sheets that are clean and pressed. I like that attention to detail. Great place!

Excellent! The Asian Massage is way more different than the usual massage. Why? because its Asia and when I say more, trust me its far more better than the regular massage. My experience with NYC Asian Massage has been one that I can talk about to friends and recommend it to them as well. I mean, I like how the staff were nice and courteous to their customers. The masseuse that did the massage on me was amazing! The oil used has a nice smell and the feeling was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep. I had a great time here!

As usual, the Garden Retreat Spa was a delight. My attendant was a new masseuse named Vivi. Her slender size belied her incredible strength. My sore, tense muscles, from my previous eight hours at the computer, were were no match for her powerful and strategic use of fingers, knuckles, palms and elbows. She seemed to feel my aches and used acupressure to release those aches. And when she walked on my back, her feet were as mobile as her hands. My shoulders, neck and feet cannot thank her enough. Definitely ask for Vivi on your next visit.

First massage spa I went to after coming here to NY. I have heard about them from a good friend and they seemed to have a good reputation in their name. Well, I guess it's true. The massage I received here was so amazing and relaxing. I really needed the massage after having such a hectic day and was definitely glad that I visited this place. Worth coming back again soon.

I have been going to this spa for a couple of times now. It was first introduced to me by my pal and I, for one, isn't fond of this kind of service. But I was wrong. After my first day here, I feel incredible. Like a huge burden has been taken out from me. Since then I have been going here when I needed a good massage. We had a 90 minute couples massage and we each had specific areas of concern (neck, back etc.). They tailored our massages to our specific needs and continually asked if the pressure was alright. I would highly recommend this quiet location for a wonderful massage.

I read so many good reviews up here but I couldn't believe how bad the service I got last night. Honestly people, if you're only looking for a regular relaxing massage, then don't come here. It's a waste of money. First, they have the menu on the wall (also on their website) for different types of massage. I asked the lady upfront when I paid (we had to pay first) if I could choose the type of massage, she told me just go to the room and the masseuses would explain to me. Then when I laid down I asked the masseuse the same question and she said "don't worry they're all the same". What????? Second. We started our session later than 8:20, but they were done and left the room at 9:05. We didn't know that it finished until I came out and asked. We paid for 1 hour service, and got less than 45 minutes???? What??? Third. They barely know English. My masseuse could speak a little English, but the one with my husband didn't at all. My husband kept telling her to be more gentle but seem like she didn't understand. He didn't feel relaxed at all because the lady put too much pressure, but she didn't communicate with him, didn't ask if he was ok, and even when he told her to go softer many times she didn't understand. Now he has backache because of the massage. It's the first time I heard that a normal person came to a massage place and left with pain in his back and shoulders. All in all, my masseuse was ok, but I was upset at the timing and the false advertisement. My husband didn't like his massage at all. We both think it's a waste of money to come here. I give 2 stars because the place look clean, the girls are young and pretty, and my masseuse did a so-so job.

That was a very excellent massage from an attractive masseuse! I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in NYC. I feel greatly relieved and the free of knots in my back and legs that I didn't even know I had. The place was comfortable, private and very clean. All in all it was an excellent experience for $80 with a $50 tip. Back in town for a summer visit and another excellent massage.

They offer a changing room, scrub-down prior, clean hot towels, full discretion, and professional, attentive, and accommodating staff. The treatment was more than I had expected :)) I was impressed and relaxed when I left. Highly recommended.

Having traveled far and tired after going around town, having a good massage would do me good. Went here after hearing some good news about them. The people here greeted me nicely, which is good. As for the massage, totally awesome. All the fatigue I had were gone... like the passing of the wind. Haven't felt refreshed for a long while now and so glad that I took some time to have a massage here. Worth it recommending this one to others.

Do not waste your time with this place stay away! It's just your average typical chinese rub n tug joint.. As soon as I walk in the door they asked me to pay upfront $80 and as soon as I asked if can I see who is available first?? the chinese lady got upset and didn't want to talk to me .... she then said it's just me and she was hideous!!

Went here the other day to have a full body massage. It was a tough day at work and I am so stress with all the big loads of work on my desk so I thought of having a massage will make my body much more lighter. They are not just amazing but they are also accommodating. They know how to massage and to cleanse the stress out of your body. I can describe the experience as ultra amazing.
