I got sick from the masseuse lady; she had been coughing up a storm and massaging my bare back. She got the knots and pain out of my back, but being sick for a month and change after that made it not worth it. Put on a mask, for crying out loud! The lady at the front also gave me such a hard time with my Living Social coupon. She refused to look up the serial number under my name or my friend's name. I pointed out to her how to search for my gift properly. This resistance was annoying and unnecessary.

I came here for manicure and pedicure and it was the best mani pedi I ever had. Vivian was amazing and made this experience great. She was super friendly, sweet, very careful and attentive. My mani and pedi looks great. I highly recommend you check this place out.

I have made an appointment 9 days in advance and when I came very rude lady said I need to wait for an hour. The running late; unfortunately I could not wait for an hour and said that it has to be done now. She said she gonna call the police (have no idea on what grounds). I said fine, call and she left. Guess what? She never came back. I would never recommend to come to this place and rely on these people

I have been serviced here countless times! They are know for the Brazilian Bikini Wax service, if you are looking for a clean, and pleasant experience this the place to be. Prices are reasonable for the area, staff is super friendly. They have services such as massages, hair and nails. I often come here for a blow dry and waxing. But have tried all their services and recommend.

Definitely do not recommend this place based on almost every aspect! 1. Honoring appointments - I made an appointment for my mom and me so it’s obvious that we will get service together. Not true. My mom’s mani-pedi began 15 minutes late and mine was 45 minutes late. I am not making this up but they painted a 6 year old girl’s (she was there with her mom who was getting a haircut) nails before me!! Very cute and all but not for a professional who has limited time and a little one at home to get back to in the evening! 2. The space is tiny and run down. You have to descend a steep flight of stairs into a tiny basement room - very hard for my 70 year old mom and for me with my foot injury. The walls are peeling and everything is cramped. 3. Equipment - They don’t actually have Mani and pedi stations like any salon you may be used to. There’s a bucket that doubles up as a soaking tub with a plastics garbage bag in it for your feet - no bubbles or anything. One of those side tables for hands. Very uncomfortable chairs that are suitable for haircuts and not for a relaxing mani-pedi 4. Actual procedure - They did not scrub either of our feet with a foot file to remove the dead, cracking and dry skin. Our hands were neither soaked nor massaged with any lotion at all. Everything felt rushed. 5. Did not offer us water or tea or anything for that matter on a very hot and humid nyc summer day. 6. Language - a real barrier here. Another Brazilian patron who knew English had to help. Bottom line - absolutely not worth any amount of money to be here! I am used to very basic Chinese or Korean places so I wasn’t looking for luxury. Just basic service

This is my absolute favorite place to go for a manicure. What makes bela brazil special is the amount of time they spend on your cuticles. They turn your hands into a heavenly, cuticle-free wonder. They spend like a good 10 minutes on your cuticles, (or more if the cuticle situation is bad haha) using freshly sanitized tools. The spa is clean and friendly, the prices are surprisingly good, and the women who work there are super nice. Its not like the asian nail salons where they essentially get you in and out as fast as possible.

I've been going to Brazil Spa for a year and change now. Carla is the best! Very clean environment and they make you feel very comfortable. Carla takes her time and gives great recommendations. They are very accommodating with appointments/scheduling. Plus, they open till 7 pm! Win, win! The packages are a great deal. I recommend!

Don’t be tricked by their Groupon offer! Even if it’s $10 it won’t be worth it. After my appointment got cancelled three times, first time the person who does manicure was sick, so my appointment cancelled on the day. Second time, my appointment was scheduled a wrong day, 3rd time the manicure person had train problem. So after going through all this, i finally got someone... but nevertheless it was the worst experience i have ever had. The place is a hair salon without proper seating for manicure. They don’t even use paper towel. So the lady out my legs in her lap on top of an old and disgusting towel. And didn’t even ask me how i want me nails shaped. At the same time, the entire place filled with people chatting in Portuguese as they are in their living room. This place has no respect for their customers whatsoever. on top of that, there is construction going on upstairs was bagging the floor all day long. So i decided not even get the color because i just want to get out of this annoying and disgusting place as soon as possible. never ever ever going back!

I had a Pulsd coupon for this place. I showed up and got a completely mediocre massage and a manicure that left my nails rough with polish that started flaking off almost as soon as it was dry. The location is in a basement and the highlight of the decor appears to be a string of construction lights.

I purchased the men's back wax from Brazil Rio Spa on Groupon for a very reasonable price. When I arrived for the appointment I found that the spa was a bit small; so was the room used for the service. Still, the place was clean and appealing. The hostess took her time and took care to minimize the pain; all in all I enjoyed the experience at Brazil Rio Spa.

I’m very disappointed this is not a nail salon she use a regular chair and a bucket with a little water I got a massage for les than a minute she didn’t use cuticle remover she use a drop of cream instead I don’t want to go back I can get a professional pedicure for the same price in a different salon I’m a nail technician but sometimes I go to a different salon to get my nails done

My experience at Brazil Rio Spa was actually so amazing! I went in to get a mani-pedi and Andrea was so sweet to me! She was very gentile. They use Brazilian techniques to do your nails and honestly it was so great. Friendly staff too! I will definitely be coming back!

I love the Brazilian keratin and the nails service. They are the best in the city with reasonable price. Definitely worth it! I do it every 3 months.
