I had the most wonderful experience at Gambei this past Sunday. Jinlen and her team have created a lovely little oasis, right here in Albuquerque. Upon arriving, I felt like I was returning home after a long absence! All of the staff are so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I immediately felt all tensions and stress melting away as I sipped tea and soaked in the ambiance (we are talking koi ponds, air plants, & succulents...) They even carry an impressive selection of organic body care products and locally crafted jewelry. As for my facial, it was AMAZING! Jasmine provides the most pampering experience imaginable. It was an hour of pure bliss. Even 24 hours later I am amazed at how luxurious my skin still feels and my face looks so much softer and happier! I look forward to spending a lot more time at Gambei and exploring more of the services they have to offer.

The best, by far, place to get treatment for inflammation pain, muscle soreness and overall stress relief!!!! I get acupuncture and cupping done monthly for muscle and tension issues. It has truly saved my life. Dr. Silva is the sweetest person and actually listens to your issues and concerns. She discussed my diet to curb inflammation and it really helped. They also have a really great infrared sauna treatment and the facials are amazing. Can't say enough great things about this place.

I've been privileged to recieve the healing works from Dawn for almost 5 years now. Masterful, intuitive, gifted, powerful, healer, are a few of words that come to mind. For the first time I had my massage on a new Sound Table @Gambei, it was absolutely magical... My body immediately responded to the sound waves of the table and dropped into a deep level of relaxation and as always Dawn's work addressed every single spot of tension and pain I had. The combination of Dawn's skill and talent and the Sound Table was blissfully relaxing! After my session, I felt even more calm, grounded and relaxed than usual. I was able to sit in front of the most serene little waterfall in the front room and continue to enjoy the extreme relaxation for several minutes. The shop is like a little slice of heaven in the city, full of beautiful live plants and handmade local products. There's a huge variety of things to do to pamper yourself from Massage on the Sound Table to getting a nice chemical free Mani/Pedi. I know there's tons more and I will be there checking it all out again soon!

When we first moved to Albuquerque in 2009, I went found Gambei in the phone book. I instantly fell in love and knew I was in good hands. Jinlen is an attentive and thoughtful practitioner who consistently provides impactful healing treatments. I've gone to Jinlen for regular tune ups as well as pre and post surgical treatments. Her work has always made all of the difference in my healing and recovery. My husband sees Jinlen for regular aches and pains and a bad back. He describes Jinlen as knowledgeable, patient, nurturing, and professional. Her methods are effective and her generous heart and kind spirit take everything to the next level. My favorite treatment is a combination of acupuncture, massage, and cupping. It might not be listed.on the menu because Jinlen provides what you need. If you are looking.for a pro, she's it.

Gambei Wellness Spa was truly amazing!! The staff fit me in for a last minute facial and it was great! The esthetician was kind and thorough and my skin felt great after. I had some time to kill after my treatment and was offered more tea and even got to relax in the sauna. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and the environment is relaxing and rejuvenating. I can’t recommend highly enough!

Edited- they returned my call and it's an issue with the website that they will be fixing. Might want to consider having more than one nail technician on staff, for those that want to come as a group :) Guys, your spa and services look great. But, if using the website, being forced to purchase before being allowed to see the schedule and times/days available is not helpful at all. What if you don't have any availabilities when I want to come in? Those of us from out of town have limited schedules; I don't want the hassle of paying for services you can't guarantee you're available to provide, and then having to go back and try to get a refund if it turns out you're booked. It wouldn't be as much of an issue if someone would answer the phone so I could ask these questions.

After having experienced the sudden and traumatic death of a dear loved one, I was looking for something that would ground me. And, I was looking for a massage place with a holistic approach that would allow for my body to release all these intense emotions and process/recuperate. I went in and I had a massage by Alicia. To be perfectly honest, I was completely blown away by the place because it completely vibes with who I am. In the lobby there are some meaningful spiritual texts for light reading. And, there were some Oracle decks, which were just what I needed at the time. They also sell healthful nutritional and topical supplements (magnesium, teas, and other things), as well as spa products (bath stuff). I tried some and they’re all absolutely wonderful and eco-friendly. As far as the treatment itself, I received a full body massage on the sound table. I had the option of earphones and the option of the massage table vibrating along with the music, more a more immersive sensory experience. I also had some ultrasonic therapy on my face, neck, and shoulders, which I firmly believe helped me feel extra grounded after the massage. During the massage, Alicia used different massage techniques (as she is an intuitive healer) and I got precisely what I needed out of it. I felt safe with her, as I always do.

Jinlen is the best practitioner I have ever come across. She listens, evaluates and relieves my pain. But she doesn't stop there, she helps you prevent it too. The first time I went to see her I could barely walk in. I could walk out the door afterwards. She is truly amazing! When my husband started having chronic pain of his own, I took him to Jinlen! Amazing facials with organic products! I can't find any other spa/salon that does a better job. My face becomes more and more beautiful each time. Gambei has a wonderful atmosphere and the best ladies to be pampered by!

My experience does not show me in a good light. However, there were certain aspects I was unhappy with. It took a lot of back and forth to actually get my appointment. Foolishly I showed up at the wrong day and time. I stood at the door, and the doorbell twice and knocked once. A woman walked across the room and didn't even see me. The gentleman at the reception desk had 'run out for a moment,' usually it's customary to leave a note on the door in case someone comes, then they will understand not getting a response. The other thing to do is to ask the person remaining to keep an eye on the door. When I expressed my unhappiness, I was told that Gambei was'perhaps not the best place for me.' In other words I was barred/banned. I had come to the door once before, I live close by, and though there were obviously people in there, but I received no response. I'm sad because I loved the idea of going there because it's in my neighborhood, and also because I'd heard good things about them. I freely admit my culpability and my unfortunate rudeness, but I do think their customer service leaves something to be desired.
