The new location is bright, has nice set up. I have been going to Skin Spa New York - Soho for 8 years. Allie is very knowledgeable treating Asian skin type. She has done an amazing job reducing and minimizing brown spots on my face; I got to "save my face" without getting laser treatment. I love my skin and how it looks.

It was my first time visiting The Skin Spa, I arrived there 5mins early before my appointment and then had to wait 15mins because the customer before me was late for her appointment. So, now I'm about 20mins late for work. Then, Daria made me feel uncomfortable. It was rushed and it was painful because she chose to use Hard Wax on my Vagina after I told her I'm used to getting the soft wax for 10years, I begged if she can use it. She used it for one spot....:and then continued with Hard waxing after noticing I'm handling the soft wax better. After it's done, I realized that she left some hairs in the front. I didn't bother calling her back in the room. I just got dressed and left because obviously Im not coming back.

The worst facial ever. Natasha was sneezing and blowing her nose the whole time. Extraction was only 10 minutes. Cought a flu from her right before my business trip. Not to say that the face doesn't look any cleaner. Avoid at all costs.

This was my first facial/microdermabrasion and it was fantastic. Right from the start, they made me feel comfortable. It was clean, welcoming, and informative. They are not trying to oversell you on products (although I did buy $150 worth of creams because I took her advice seriously and wanted to give it a try to deal with my dark circles and dry skin). I also bought the membership. $60 bucks a month for a 50 min massage or facial, peel or microdermabrasion and $30 for any second treatment in that month. C'mon. It's worth it if your serious about not groupon hopping and really want to invest in your skin and yourself. I've already received compliments on my skin after 1 session.

This was by far one of the worst facial services I have ever received. First of all, I asked for microdermabrasion upon making the appointment and once I was in the room she told me she will just be giving me a custom facial instead. From start (this included me taking off my top and putting on my robe) to finish (me walking out of the door) was 30 minutes. This was a session that was supposed to last 50 minutes, and the first facial I have ever gotten were they did not perform an extraction first. Not on that but after the 30 minutes she was in such a rush she ran out of the room hardly acknowledging me. Overall, there was nothing positive I could say about the service I received or the way I was treated. I would not recommend this spa at all.

I made appointments for laser hair removal a few weeks apart that the receptionist said were fine, but then when I came down to get the service they said I made them too close together and couldn’t see me. This messed up my day at work, and was a major inconvenience. This spa is good but the receptionists need to be more diligent about making appointments and they all really need to work on their follow up! No one should come all the way to an appointment only to be told they can’t be seen

Disappointing Service !! I booked an appointment and 2 hours before my appointments I called to confirm everything is as we scheduled. When I came in they told me I can do only the Microdermabrasion,which I clearly booked for a full facial cleaning! And when I sed that I'm not interested and that I booked for a cleaning she said oh I can reschedule you .

I'm going to go there, only because I bought a package. However, I'm going to stop coming, because the front staff changed and new people are rude. They changed your service people without earlier information. Then they lied they called (Lindsay). I'm very disappointed with it, because I've been their customer since 2012 UPDATE: The manager called me and did everything to fix the situation.

The customer service here really stinks. I bought a laser package which I couldn’t get out of. Each time I went there they would tell me I should leave 20-30% of the original total of the laser price. This would have been $80 for a 15 minute appointment! If I could afford that I wouldn’t be going to Skin Spa in the first place! There is one guy who works here who is also always incredibly rude. In fact even at the other branches the men are always rude. To top it off, the laser treatments have given extremely poor results. The “expert” technicians did each treatment so quickly that they didn’t cover the areas properly. Don’t waste your money here!

Came here after Asanda Aveda shut down. Great front desk service at both the Skin Spa Midtown and SoHo locations. I will only go to Marianna for facials, as she does very thorough extractions and even adds some soothing massages in. I had facials with some other girls there and it seemed they had no idea what they were doing. One of them even left the room for about 10-15 minutes, making me wonder if she had forgotten about me! Skin Spa management: have Marianna teach the other girls how to provide the best service. Give her a raise and a promotion. She's the best by far.

O STAR Don't ever use the services at this place. They posted a random charge on my account using my credit card info without my consent. I was so freaked out that I had to request a new credit card. Also, don't ever fall for their upsale scam as you won't be able get your money back if you are not satisfied with the results. STAY AWAY!!!

I go monthly and get a one hour deep tissue with Diego. Hands down the best night of my month. He's fantastic, and on top of that the front desk has phenomenal customer service. They are polite, helpful, efficient, and understanding, and I've enjoyed every interaction with the team there. I make the trip down to soho from midtown, even though they have other locations. This one is the best

My first experience wasn't the best. I went in for a laser hair removal treatment, and two days later black spots appeared in the same areas I had the treatment done. I did ask the lady (will not say her name) a lot of questions, and it felt as if she didn't want to go into too much details. I did the treatment having a negative feeling, and the outcome was not good. Skin Spa did take care of the situation. Andrew was very understanding and Paula was amazing. Paula cleared up my spots, with the PCA chemical peel, microdermabrasion treatments, and was very informative and patient. I am only continuing to use their service because of Paula. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of my first experience. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars due to the service Paula provides.

This is a pretty standard place. I've had facials and massages here. While the therapists and staff are attentive and friendly, the services seem very blanketed. My facial did not include extractions which seemed odd for an hour long services. My massage was pretty good, but I do wish the therapists spent more time on the trouble areas I pointed out.

THE WORST waxing experience I ever had. The person, Angela, who did my wax was a moron. She only cared about getting the appointment over with and failed to realize the wax was FLAMING HOT. It was so hot that when she put in on my private area I literally freaked out and tried to remove it with my hand (hot wax took my nail polish off) because it was burning my skin. She told me not to touch it and proceeded to do whatever she wanted. Absolutely no regard for how I felt. Then I heard another waxer ask her if the wax was too hot. WTF. I am still in pain from the most horrifying Brazilian wax I ever had. On top of that, she missed so many spots. I’m so upset, they don’t deserve my money. Matter of fact, I should get a refund for such awful service. I have to shave all the missed spots. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

This is a great location if you are getting the Skin Spa services. I didn't give a 5 star because I want to wait to see the results of the service I am getting which is hair laser removal, but the person that treats me, Marianna is a great professional. Nothing compared to the Flatiron location, which try to sell you other services fooling you about the price and they do a very poor job. I found out by comparing Rima at Flatiron with Marianna at Soho.

Had an AMAZING massage with Bo Sun!!!! He knows exactly how to work with your body and remove tension, knots and pain. He explained everything about how the body carries pain and how to reduce it. I would give this place 5 stars but it is lacking a women's locker room or private lounge to relax after your treatment. I would still go back to have Bo work his magic!

*update per response. Absolutely false, I would have booked the microderm if your site was working. Front desk staff I spoke to confirmed this with the staff as what I wanted. Ofcourse I was "encouraged to return" for the microderm, because it wasn't done when it should have been. Again stop excusing the confusion and just take responsibility. You're only apologizing now because its public. Your tone was not apologetic prior whatsoever. None of the staff mentioned anything about the 20%. That was the first I heard of it after they said the 35% would be honored and I never mentioned anything about purchasing a package then. Not until after the service, so it's your responsibility to be honest with your guests. I have screenshots and posted it of the site online. It says TREATMENT not PACKAGE. I didn't publicly put any of your names on here so dont display mine. Rude! I even told the staff I would come back and give you all another shot and purchase packages, so honoring it would have kept a client happy with your integrity. Why would I pay for a service I didnt want? I was charged for a custom facial and extract, not a Microderm as I wanted. So no, I shouldn't have paid extra and returned to waste yet another morning. But since you lacked the integrity you lost business and now including the people I've relayed this to. Integrity and great Customer Service is how you keep your clients. -Original Post- If it isnt poor enough that the technician can barely understand or explain the services, the front desk staff will defend poor communication when one wasn't even present last appt. She had the WORST attitude and looked like she hated her job. Rolled her eyes, stomped around mad at her life and was condescending when she spoke. At first they sound as if they care and suggested I return to make up for their miscommunication and due to their website not working to book appts., but then tried to charge me for their mistake when I get there. The manager clearly told me it wouldnt be extra due to their mistake of not providing the service I requested last time and then they pretended like they couldnt remember saying this. I came and left without services and wasted my morning and no one apologized. The service wasnt that great prior and still had several left over clogged poors I removed myself when I got home from what was an extract service. So I returned thinking I would finish with the microderm as they agreed. It's funny how they said my face looked great from last week but couldnt remember what they offered to do this week. Selective memory you could say. They even had it booked in the system incorrectly. I also find out today they didnt uphold the 35% discount as the site and staff member said they would honor. They only did 20% but I even googled it again today and it says 35% off the next "treatment" NOT package as the ridiculous front desk staff tried to convince me that I was wrong. So basically they ROBBED me from their listed deal and lied about wanting to fix the service. Great con artists and false advertisement!! Shameful!! I snapped photos of the site. I paid extra for what? 0 stars if I could. Terrible service and staff. (Only one was friendly) Recommended by a friend but for a diff location. . Horrible from beginning till end and I even gave them a 2nd chance. Never returning.

he ladies at the front desk were delightful. Welcoming and professional. Even the massage therapist was friendly. However, the massage its self was the worst I've ever recieved. It was rushed and he didnt listen to ANYthing I asked or requested special attention to. It definitely felt like he wanted his day to be over. Wont be returning.

A really, really great place to go for spa services! Super relaxing. Great personnel. The manager - Jay - is a tremendously professional and dynamic leader. Today, I had a Swedish Massage with Thaddeus. What a great way to unwind, relief tension and feel rejuvenated. One thing about all Skin Spa locations - they observe the highest professionalism and cleanliness. The facility is always clean, well maintained and beautifully fragrant. If you want a place where you can DEPEND on a pleasant outcome or in giving a gift to another person, then Skin Spa is the place to choose!!
