Lets start with the fact that I'm not any novice when it comes to massage and facial. My husband and I booked a couple duet package. While I was very happy with my massage (Suellen) my husband was very disappointed with his. He commented that somebody was gently touching him for an hour. Facial part of package was kind of a joke. I asked her few times I care about extraction more than anything, I didn't get much of it. But had xyz layers of different products apply on front part of my face (like my chin and hairline doesn't exist). When we went to pay, their brochure says it costs 495, well our came to 530 without anything special. Plus tax on top of it. As my husband says...daytime robbery. Wouldn't go back again at all!

In October 2014, I went for an appointment at the Oasis Day Spa for a scalp massage with cinnamon. It was a wonderful first time experience. Nancy was professional and gentle. She was genuinely kind. I also had my regular facial massage with Shatelle. Shatelle has the hands of an angel. I call her facial massage, butterfly kisses. Her hands are truly anointed and blessed. The week following my massage, my colleagues were asking , "what have you done to your skin? You look great". I have been going to the OASIS DAY SPA since 2011, when I met Carrie for a body massage. I recommend all these women for the massages they offer. I have been going for massages since the eighties and attended some well known establishments. However, the care of the entire staff at OASIS DAY SPA outshines the others. I am referring to the young women who register on the phone, at the front desk and escorts to the change room. There has been an improvement in the entire setting which makes the relaxation feel of the entire SPA welcoming. I highly recommend the OASIS DAY SPA. You are missing a great treat and gift to yourself.

The moment that sums up this experience is when the front desk attendant argued with us over whether we had booked three male masseuses or three female masseuses. The spa has a good layout, with a locker room full of amenities like showers and a small sauna plus a lounge area to relax with tea after or before the services. The male masseuse that I had, not what I had requested, repeated the same massage motion on my shoulders for much of the hour massage. The mud wrap room also was a raised metal table in the middle of a tiled room with industrial shower heads that reminded me too much of dissection tables after watching Law & Order and Dexter.

I treated my husband to the mens facial and he loved it. He looked like a new man. The stress was gone from his eyes and he had a nice glow to his skin. I will be trying out a massage next. The place has a nice quiet tranquility to it. I was offered water and/or tea while I waited and they offer an array of products such as candles, robes, skin care, lip care, hair care, etc. on their shelves at a reasonable or discounted price. Everyone was professional, kind and welcoming there.

Not worth it. So many great spas in New York and dealing with this place's draconian cancellation policy is just not worth it. They will charge you full price for a service you didn't have regardless of the fact that working people in New York sometimes have unpredictable things happen at work preventing them from being able to go to their appointment. It's like buying a non-refundable plane ticket but without getting any benefit for it (at least with the plane ticket you get a discount). Save your money and book one of the other hundreds of amazing spas int he city.

I should start by stating that I am a picky spoiled princess when it comes to spas. That said, I give Oasis full stars. Was the best spa experience I have ever had and that includes in many other countries and a $500 gift certificate to beyond horrible, seriously how do you botch all your services Bliss. Please don't let this get your hopes up to delusional heights though. Bianca gave me the best deep tissue massage ever. Perfect amount of strength without nearly snapping my head off in the head cradle like other masseurs have practically done. Facilities were lovely, reception was gracious and they were even helpful when I was late. I will definitely be back and can't thank them enough.

Not only did I get a last minute appointment in because of pain in my neck and shoulder, the massuse was able to fix me up good. This is a wonderful spa. Clean and there are showers and a sauna. I could spend a day at this place. Never disappointed with the care. There is a reason this place is still in the same location for so long. Highly recommend.

I've only had one bad service here (an average massage by a guy who had recently eaten a tuna fish sandwich and made sure I knew it with every question he asked). Otherwise, this place has treated me well. I've had massages, waxes, scrubs and facials here and aside from the one, I felt great after every service. *tip - they take spa finder vouchers, so you can create your own deals by buying some in COSTCO It's very easy to make appointments using the website as well.

I've been going to Oasis Day Spa for 3+ years and I absolutely love it. The girls at the front desk are very helpful and patient. The Spa itself has been recently renovated and I find it very, very relaxing...just what I need before going to work! The Bodylicious Slimming Escape is delicious, but my most favorite service is the Facials. I've tried almost every facial and Sandra is amazing, again, very patient and professional. The Phyto Stem Cell Facial & Red Carpet Facial are among the best of the best, and when I really want to treat myself I book the Diamond Microdermabrasion with Oxygen Infusion, on the expensive side but like I said, it's quite the TREAT!! Bonus is, if you have time after your service you can relax a little longer in the sauna (in the women's lounge). A true Oasis in Manhattan.

My sister and I went to Oasis to start off my bachelorette party weekend and to spend some one on one time together before the festivities. She got a Swedish Massage by Dennis and I got a Hot Stone Massage by Kevin A. AMAZING!! The masseuses were professional and the massages were top notch. We even relaxed in the lounge for almost an hour and a half after our services! The dim lighting, plush robes and couches, and refreshing cucumber water made it hard to leave. This was probably my 10th experience at Oasis. I keep coming back for my massages because I always leave there happy and relaxed. Money well spent and what a great way to start the weekend!

I get 2 massages every month. I thought I would try something new. I got a 90 minute deep tissue with Maria. She did a great job, I feel great! I wouldn’t call this a spa, they have a locker room and a waiting room, both are tiny and in the basement of an office building. However, if you just want a massage, this place is great. If you want a spa atmosphere, you will have to go elsewhere.

I was given a gift certificate for a spa treatment by a dear friend. I redeemed it yesterday for a hot lava stone/Swedish massage with Don. It was amazing. Seriously, it was the best massage I ever had. He intuitively knew how much pressure I needed and how much I could take. I have some very sensitive areas which I failed to mention to him. I figured if I felt pain, I would let him know, but it was not necessary. I really wish I splurged for the 90 minutes and will next time. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed.

A bit on the expensive side but oh so good! I love the banya. The massages are fantastic. I also got the herbal tea wrap, wasn't as pleasant as I had hoped since by the time I was called in to the room to do it, the water had gone cold. Aside from that, I spend entire days here when I go. Between the banya, food, and lounge, there is no way not to relax.

My husband and I took a getaway to NYC and booked a massage for both of us for the morning and then broadway show. We were very excited as we both work very hard and this was our time away. The location was pretty and quiet, relaxing. The locker room was very equipped with items you may need for both men and women. The massage itself was pretty average. Nothing great, but not horrible. My problem was that I came in feeling completely normal and I left with a pain in my shoulder. When I asked the manager, she told me to put cream on it and see how it feels later in the day. When I called back later that it was still hurting me, she didn’t offer for me to come back and take care of it, she didn’t offer me anything; she basically just said “ sorry “. That is disappointing to me that a spa can have such a poor policy and lack of customer service. I have been to many spas and never hear anything like this before. It makes me very weary to go to a place that doesn’t take care of their customers properly. I do not recommend this spa for this reason. When you trust your health in such a vulnerable way, you want to feel taken care of. Hope you all find the perfect spa for your getaway! All the best.

I love Oasis Day Spa! I've been going to Oasis for many years now and it's my favorite spa in NYC. When you walk in the front door, you walk downstairs while smelling a beautifully relaxing scented candle and into what I think is bliss. You don't feel like your in a busy city anymore. It's so quiet and serene. The staff is always so friendly. I get facials with Sandra and she is THE BEST!!! She is extremely knowledgeable and truly adapts the facials to whatever your skin needs. Through the years, I have learned a wealth of information from Sandra! She's always so willing to answer any and all of my questions about skin. Edit: I was contacted by the owner, which I felt was a very professional and courteous thing to do. I really feel they care about pleasing their customers. I agreed to try them out again when I return to New York and I will be posting my experience. I went here with a friend while visiting NY. The place was very nice and relaxing. The people were warm and friendly. They have a little sitting area with tea, water and snacks. Very nice. They give you a robe and slippers and there's showers and a changing area. The reason it got only 4 stars (would have been less if the place itself wasn't so nice) is that I paid for a deep tissue massage. What I got was a light body rub .. it was as if I paid for someone to lightly touch me. I remember thinking when is he gonna start getting at my knots? I get a deep tissue once every month so I know what to expect. The massage I got was worth no more than 1 star. Such a shame because the place is pretty cool. I'll never go back.

My masseuse Veronica gave me the best massage I've ever had. She did what I wanted and did it very well. My back and neck problems were so much improved. Her pressure was firm and a little uncomfortable but only as much as I was willing to accept. I want to go back to her. My wife had a facial that made her face glow.

(Original) 【前置き】 NY旅行で歩き疲れたので、マッサージを受けたいと思って当日予約しました。平日午後ということもあり空いていたようで、15時ごろに電話すると16時30分で予約が取れました。電話予約時にクレジットカード番号が必要ですが、キャンセル用の保険なので特に引き落としはありません。 男性のセラピストもいるので、女性セラピストがいい人は予約の時に希望を伝えたほうが無難です。 建物に入り、向かって左手に「OASIS DAY SPA」と書かれた扉があります。地下へ続く階段を降りると受付があり、そこで同意書へ記入します。 【施術前】 着替えとシューズをもらって、ロッカーで着替えます。シャワーとトイレ、ドライヤーやメイクルームもここ。（アメリカのSPAでは前後にシャワーを浴びる人もいるようです） 着替えた後はラウンジのようなところで待機します。しばらくすると名前を呼ばれるので、担当のセラピストさんと握手。個室に入ってマッサージ開始です。ちなみに、日本のマッサージ店のように紙ショーツなどはないので、全裸で寝転がります。 【技術】 担当のセラピストさんはとても上手でした。こちらは真っ裸ですが、部屋の照明が暗いし、セラピストさんのタオルワークが見事で、大事なところはちゃんと隠したまま施術してくれます(笑) 痛いとか弱いとかはその都度言えばOK スウェディッシュマッサージ60分、オイル有りでほぼ全身くまなくマッサージしてくれます。最後は軽くストレッチなどをして、終了。 【まとめ】 リピートが見込めない旅行者にも優しいお店でした。（「次にNYに来たらまた予約してね」とビジネスカードを貰いました）技術も素晴らしく、贅沢な時間を過ごせました。 シャワーとメイクルームもあるので、前後に予定が入ってても問題なく1日を過ごせると思います。 OASIS SPAという似た名前のSPAが同じマンハッタンにありますが、そちらはアジア系セラピストのお店なので、間違えないように。

I had a trip coming up so wanted to get a facial to clear up some blackheads I saw on my chin. My aesthetician I had for years moved to Florida permanently so I had to find a new place. This place is super cute and relaxing. The owner is sweet and accommodating. Everything is clean and neat. This was my first time there. I was recommended by a friend but I got a different aesthetician. I’m not sure if she’s new or just not experienced but I’ve been getting facials since I was 16 and I’m 30. I noticed right away by the way she touched my face and applied products that she was unexperienced .. when she started The extractions she used a tool and when I got home I realized that my face looked worse than before I went to get a facial. I got my facial in the morning and usually by night time my face is no longer red from extractions and everything is smooth and clear but not this time .. she didn’t do them correctly.. so I’m sorry Judith but you need more training. I would never pay 100 for that kind of work again.

I love this spa! I have been going there for years and it is the best. Its private and very professional. The staff is great, and I just wish I could go there more often.
