Very bad customer service, Eric is extremely rude, we had an appointment and when we entered he told the front desk girl “tell them I’m not going to take them”, poor customer service and rude guy as most of the staff, would never go back and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I had a terrible experience at City Master Barbers. I asked to have my front hair, which was down to my eyes, trimmed to half the length and the back and sides trimmed shorter. My barber instead shaved most of my hair off. I thought she was just giving me a buzz on the sides and back, but then she ended up using a razor for the top and front of my hair as well because she was trying to rush me out. Maybe there was some miscommunication because my barber initially made some comment about men's hair having to be even all around, but I thought I got across what I wanted because she said she understood. Then, I ended up with a full-on buzz cut. The barber did not listen to what I wanted at all.

This place is great for haircuts. The staff here is pretty friendly and they do good work. Wait times can vary depending on when you go. Check on Google for the busy times and plan accordingly. Even with a wait it never went more than 20 minutes for me. Prices are about average from what I have seen at other places. $15 for a men’s haircut.

City master barbers in old bridge NJ is an amazing place to go if you want to have a proffetional job done with a cut or any other services you prefer. I’ve been to a lot of barber shops and salons through out New York and New Jersey and let me say I am hard to please but city master barbers did and all their staff are highly proffetional and knowledgeable in what they do. From making you feel at home and at ease, the atmosphere and juts the experience is worth the trip in my opinion. I highly recommend Eric who cuts my hair, because I have hair that is not easy to cut and Eric does the job the way fits me best. It’s an amazing salon/barber shop and believe me you won’t be disappointed

I have been using this salon for years. I followed Stacy here and she cut the hair of my kids and I. I gave $10.00 tips and was a loyal customer. On the evening of Kol Nidre I sat in Stacy's chair to get my hair done. She did a great job and she asked me about the election and the political buttons on my purse. She asked me who I was voting for and why. We had a very lovely conversation. She is a very nice person and great at her job. The usual receptionist was not there and as I went to pay the current receptionist confronted ME about my political beliefs. She started the conversation with the following sentence, "Your not going to vote for ____? Are you?" You can imagine it just fell apart from there. She treated me to a discourse on her opinions and how wrong and horrible I was for my beliefs. I finally responded and she then said, "please calm down". Meanwhile there are multiple TV's blasting and the music is playing on full blast and there are a number of hair dryers going. It appeared that no one heard anything. No one walked over, not the manager, not Stacy...it was an insulated conversation. I left shaken with a horrible headache. I called the Salon and asked to speak with Stacy. She got right on the phone and when I told her what happened she said, OH NO? Thats horrible! I am so sorry! I didn't hear a thing! Please speak to the manager." The manager got on the phone. His first comment was, "well she's young." But then when I repeated verbatim the comments she made, he was incredibly apologetic. He said, "That's terrible-she should have never said this to you. You are a client of 8 years and we are so sorry. I will speak to her." Yesterday, I realized I could not just let this go idly by. After years of loyalty to this salon and having sending tons of people here I knew I could never go back. Yes, you get a good haircut but you may be treated to a side order of hatred and vitriol if this receptionist sees you wearing the button of a person she doesn't like. This is my third go round attempting to post my review at this salon. The owners are clearly trying to silence this experience. My review is negative and it is truthful. It is deeply upsetting and honest. It did happen. Add to this that throughout the process I have been stalked and threatened by 2 individuals named Gabby and Eric S. They posted their first comments ever on the day I posted mine. It is very suspicious and clearly targeted. I waited one month before posting my comments waiting to hear from the management. They never called. On behalf of the community that I am a part of-I was ashamed and would not want anyone to ever have to face this verbal brutality ever again.

I had my hair cut here and I personally would recommend. The only problem was communication with the stylist. It was mostly on my part because I didn’t know how to word it cause I dont go to salons often. Overall the setting is welcoming and professional. The stylists were nice. There were lollipops for the waiting which was surprisingly only a few minutes. The price was a bit above average but thats fine. I would definitely come back.

I’ve come to this barber shop for my past 3 haircuts. I usually bounce around from mom and pop shops to chains back to the mom and pops. Never found a consistently good haircut until I landed on Kevin at City Masters. All the employees are super nice and welcoming. The shop is extremely clean and sleek. Has a great atmosphere. My barber, Kevin, knows exactly what he’s doing!!! He listens carefully to what you request and goes beyond in his service. Next time I go in, I’m confident I can just sit down for my appointment with him without a word and I’d leave with yet another fantastic haircut. HE IS SIMPLY THE BEST Overall, totally recommend city masters! Wish nothing but success for these guys. 5 stars!

Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. Puts the blame on the customer although they were the ones who messed up with their ineffective “appointment planner”. Wasted an hour and half waiting for the barber to be told I couldn’t see him. That was my first experience and I strongly advise going to this establishment!

This salon is great!! I usually don't change from where I go but I thought I would give it a try since my good friend told me very nice things about it. The place is very clean and organized. Everyone was very sweet and kind to me when I walked in. I came to get highlights done on my hair and I had Lucy who took amazing care of me, eased my mind and did exactly what I wanted done on my hair, and it came out looking absolutely amazing!! She was beyond wonderful. I was very nervous walking in but I honestly Loved it and definitely will be coming here from now on. I recommend it !!!

Eric is the best barber there. But within a year, he increased his price from $14 to 16 and now $20. I just found that he works by appointment only but does not charge extra for appointment. The atmosphere is great there and people are very friendly.

I was taken in right away. Everybody was very nice. I liked the haircut I received. The nice lady asked me if I wanted a shave and I said sure. When I went to pay for everything they told me 28.00 for the shave. I felt taken advantage of. If you are going to charge quadruple because you use 16 different products you should make the customer aware. Shoddy business practice. For that, I will not return.

I’m very picky about who I go to for my haircuts. I only have one place that I go to where I pay $35 every time and I know it’s a lot but they always do it right. I needed to get a haircut ASAP but every place that I’ve been to has been a huge let down. I came to City Master Barbers Salon & Spa for a walk in haircut and I was introduced to Kevin. He was the chillest and most welcoming barber compared to all the other places. He has such a chill vibe and is really awesome. I asked for a skin fade and he took his time rather than rushed it to give me a quality haircut. I paid a really good price for a really good haircut and hair wash which felt great because they massage your scalp and everything. 10/10 would recommend and definitely coming here A LOT more often. Ask for Kevin because he’s an awesome guy!

First Time Customer Experience 10 out 10. This place does everything you can imagine that needs to get done. Everyone is so professional and so Experienced words can not describe. Being in the Military this is definitely a whole new experience I never felt before. Getting a hair cut, hot shave, and Clenaing of the face was the most professional care I ever got ever and is definitely worth. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone or service member. BEST HAIRCUT AND MEAT PIES IN TOWN! Magic Barber Kevin is as skillful with scissors as a Samurai is with his Katana. Beautifully executed Haircut. As careful with a buzzer as a Pizza Tosser tosses dough in the air. As this is all great, after the haircut (and excellent conversation) Kevin pulled a secret lever on the chair. This lever initiated the chair to snap back, open a secret hatch floor door, which dropped me down to a mysterious basement party where I got to eat all the MEAT PIES I can eat. Who knew a barbershop would have Meat pies! Maybe they only do that for newcomers but WOAH, excellent amenities. Talk about brick and mortar creating experiences for customers. Thank you. Fine crafted service from entry to exit; Receptionist, Barber, Professional Washer. Looking forward to future cuts from Magician Kevin and Meat Pies.

In October or November of 2014, I literally walked in to get a short hair cut. I am a older lady who keeps my hair short & layered since it looks thicker at my age. I entered lobby and saw all males, boys, teens etc. I had to ask gentleman at front desk do you cut women's hair. I wanted someone who cut short hair with scissors not "buzz cuts". He advised I should wait for Ivan. I would like to say in all the years I have been keeping short hair, this was the BEST cut I ever received. I was so happy with my cut I then wanted to make appoinment with Ivan for color with highlighting.....A week later I went to the coloring appointment thinking I wanted to usual light brown color with caramel highlights....Since I have so much gray I have to do the color 4 to 5 weeks....Ivan explained that I could easily go lighter...So I tried Blonde with Caramel Highlights per his suggestion.....It was the best coloring/highlight I had received to date! If any women think this is just as Male---Buzz Cut salon....I suggest you ask for Ivan and let this professional hair stylist do his magic...I couldn"t be happier with my style & cut but have received so may compliments on the color with Highlights I feel estatic....Nancy
