Around November of last year, I had been pretty consistent (considering the long distance and my demanding profession) with using Massage Envy for a variety of reasons. My last trip, however, was awful! I had scheduled an appointment to receive my 2nd chemical peel only to drive over an hour to be told that the cabinets containing the materials were locked and that they were having trouble reaching the manager. Not once did they try to rectify the situation; not once was I offered anything for my inconvenience. Coupled with a previous purchasing mayhem that happened in early July 2018, I was truly hurt because I had been previously told that my purchase made in a Destin, Florida location couldn’t be refunded at their Hattiesburg location. They offered no remedy for the products (PCA) purchased that I could not use due to major skin irritation (I still have the pics because my skin began messing up badly right before I attended a summer conference in Biloxi, Ms). I was horrified! Yet, I had decided to give them another chance only to be disappointed again! And yes, I still have the hardly used PCA products that I paid over $200 for collectively! And the reason I purchased so much is because I had gotten a chemical peel before, and the aftercare regimen included the very same products! This is why I didn’t hesitate purchasing! I’m so angry and have decided NEVER to visit the Hattiesburg location! However, at the time, they had a new employee (Ms. Woodrow) who was super nice!! She’s the only reason I kept my cool! Again, will NEVER visit nor will I EVER make a referral to the Hattiesburg location!

High pressure to purchase a monthly plan. We visited another location years ago and dealt with the same situation. I really don't plan on ever going again. Massage itself was nothing remarkable and we were called for our slot late and it ended early.

This is the worst massage envy location in MS. They constantly cancel my appointments last minute when I’m commuting from 2 hours away. They can’t manage their schedules. This is the 3rd time it’s happened to me. I also have had a horrible time finding someone I like. I’ve seen someone different everytime. I haven’t had a good experience there since last year.

I have been going to Massage Envy in Hattiesburg for the last six months and I am truly satisfied with my experience. I have a membership and I visit Massage Envy two to four times a month. The facility is clean and inviting. The lighting, sound and temperature of the rooms are perfect. The staff are always courteous and accomodating. They personally call for appointment reminders and confirmations. Scheduling is never a problem for me. I am always able to book sessions at the time that I prefer and with the therapists that I want to work with. The therapists at Massage Envy helped me to pinpoint the exact cause of my tension headaches as well as pain in my back, hip, shoulders and neck. The therapists are amazing because they listen to what I need and use my sessions to troubleshoot my problems, always resulting in relief. Massage therapy has become an essential part of my wellness. I highly recommend Massage Envy in Hattiesburg.

I've heard from many people they have a really hard time getting an appointment. I paid for a whole year and have experienced the same thing ,also being changed therapists at the time of my appointment. I really would love to cancel my membership but I'm stuck. Won't make this mistake at renewal time I assure you. Massages can be hit and miss as well. Some therapists are good but if they are they are at least a month or two out.

I bought my wife a very expensive gift card for this place for mother's day. Worst gift-mistake of my life. This place is so terrible and their customer service is probably the worst I've encountered in my adult life. They do not honor appointments booked online, and when you book an appointment over the phone they will probably get it wrong. They don't apologise for all of their blatant mistakes and it would be great if they'd just give me the money back, but I still won't remove this review because I hope it keeps anyone else from wasting their money. I can't believe they're still open. If you really want to give your loved one a gift, look elsewhere.

Today 7/14/17 I called Massage Envy at 4:24 pm and made a appointment for 7/15/17 . I was called at 7:22 pm and they cancelled my appointment. I read the reviews before making this appointment and would not have chose this business by the bad reviews they had on the website. It seemed to be something that they do regularly to people because I read it online . The only reason I chose to go there was because I had a gift certificate from my daughter in law . I knew after reading the reviews that the reason why they were calling me back was to cancel my appointment. I think this is very bad business . I would like for the general manager to please respond to my review .

August 2017 I couldn't rate a zero is the reason they received 1 star. The Hattiesburg MS office is not the best, and I would not recommend it. 1. Once you have the membership, the customer service in person and by telephone goes out the window. 2. They call the day of a pre-scheduled appointment and state they have already rescheduled the appointment because their therapist decided not to come into work until later that day. I didn't think company staffing was the responsibility of the customers... 3. The employees appear so unhappy. Most of them wear frowns while helping you, its so uncomfortable. Business advice... employees treat your customers based on how you treat them. 4. The only way out of the contract is a doctors letter or to move to a place without a massage envy. So if you join you will be stuck for 1 full year with bad customer service and frequently rescheduled appointments. I recommend finding a more professional place to do your business with instead of Massage Envy.

I have always been a customer of massage envy as far as gift cards for special occasions for friends and family members. I called yesterday to let them know I would be in to pick up a gift card for a friend for a 1 hr massage. The receptionist did not tell me rules have changed and it was a min. Of 75 for a gift card now. I went in to pick the gift card up and the receptionist said that I had to purchase 75 dollars or more. That was not told to me on the phone earlier. As I told the receptionist that she looked at a blonde hair lady in the office then then lady came out with a frown on her face staring at me. Then the receptionist repeated herself 75 dollars or more. As both receptionist and the lady that came out the office stared at me I politely said I will take my business elsewhere. No one said anything nor stopped me. That let's me know they do not care about losing a customer.

I LOVE MY MASSAGE ENVY MEMBERSHIP!! I have an extensive history of orthopedic injury a.d surgery and my therapist keeps me walking upright. Without massage therapy I believe I would be a slave to pain medication and dependant on a wheelchair, but Jarrod is amazing. He is better than many Physical Therapists I have seen. He understands muscles and movement and really works out the aches and pains from overuse. I appreciate having a membership where the staff knows me and my needs and wants. The reception staff is always helpful and even helps by advance scheduling for me. I recommend a ME membership for anyone with past injuries, we really don't realize how much pain we carry until it is gone. The rooms at ME are well decorated in welcoming, warm colors. The blankets on the beds are soft and plush. I see the atmosphere as a cross between a spa and a clinic. You know relaxation goes on here, but the feeling that healing happens too is undeniable.

My husband and I signed up for monthly massages. However, we are never able to go have our massage. Too busy. So we decided to stop by and ask could we use the $660.00 we have built up on our account for gift certificates or products they sell. The answer NO!!! So, we now will have to figure out a time to have 6 massages and we have to pay for another 4 that we will have trouble getting too. I would NEVER sign up for the monthly massage BIG MISTAKE!!!! The employees have always treated very nicely. It must be the owner or manager who will not allow us to spend our money in any other fashion at this location. VERY ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: We have asked again if we could give family or friends a gift card for the upcoming holidays. We were told no again. DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB. You will be limited as to what you can purchase. On the front end they will show you all the products they offer and make you believe you can use your funds to purchase. THIS IS NOT TRUE!! Make sure you are interested in a massage only!! You are not allowed to use your money for anything further. AFTER A YEAR OF PAYING THIS COMPANY WE ARE FINALLY WITHIN OUR LEGAL RIGHTS TO CANCEL OUR MEMBERSHIP. I WILL SEE IF THEY CONTINUE TO TRY AND DRAFT OUR ACCOUNT. MASSAGE ENVY HATTIESBURG HAS THE WORST MANAGEMENT I HAVE SEEN IN SOME TIME!

I will never step foot back in this place.. I had at LEAST 8 massage credits (i used to be a member and pay $50 a month for massages) i canceled and even then my account was charged 2 more times.. I call today to book an appointment because desperate times call for desperate measures. I said, I'd like to apply one of my credits to the massage im booking JUNE 1 the receptionist told me "they expired in Feb"..... So, I've already PAYED FOR THEM....... and i cant use them. I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE... How about you refund me the money i spent on the membership and my STACK of credits that I CAN NOT USE.... AWFUL BUSINESS.. Customer Service means nothing to this company.
