Carla is THE BEST!!!! She microbladed my brows twice now and I’ll never go back. They have always been impeccable and made my face look better. She took the time to map out where they should arch, stop, end, etc. She’s the sweetest person and I thoroughly enjoy talking to her and her company. I went a year and a half in between my first appointment and my second! I couldn’t believe I went that long and they still looked good! I highly recommend her and this beautiful and clean spa!!

I love this place! Beautiful and calm surroundings. No cell phones, just pure relaxation. The first time I went in, I was not happy with the work of the technician, but when I mentioned what happened, the owner immediately fixed the problem and every time since has been perfect. First technician gave a great pedicure!!, but was inexperienced at doing the type of nails I wanted done, not sure why they assigned me to someone who didn't know the technique, but they fixed the error, so I gave them another try and I'm soooo glad I did. Phillip does THE best forever french gel ever!! And it's gotten even better as the nail tech I used to go to for my pedicures moved to this salon too!! Even treated myself to a massage one time and it was so relaxing. Just what I was looking for. Keep up the great work Blu Water!

I love this place! I visit ❤️Elena❤️ every 2-4 weeks and I love how neat and professional she is. She can do any design you wish. The gel never chips or comes off (even though I do cook and clean every day). Highly recommend this salon! They have lots of other services that I haven’t tried yet. P.S. I live in Manassas, VA area and don’t mind to commute to Kensington, MD, because it’s worth it!

I made an appointment with Julie for mircoblading my eyebrows, she is a perfectionist and absolutely amazing. I’m so glad I did my homework in choosing her! Once she completed this process I honestly looked more alive, perhaps even younger. I just got my eyebrows microbladed by Carla this past Monday. I cannot describe to you how amazing this experience was!! She was so accommodating, walked me through every single step, made sure all my concerns were answered and cleared up, and the end result of my new brows are SO GOOD that I'm literally telling everyone about her. She is so sweet and talented!! I researched spas for months and found her on instagram. If you look her up (@masterpieces_by_carla) you can see that she does a wonderful job and really knows her stuff. After a consultation I decided to drive an hour an 15 minutes to get her to do my brows because I knew I would walk out of there with a huge smile, and I for sure did. I cannot stop looking in the mirror!!! Basically, she's amazing and I really suggest you look into getting yours done by Carla at Blu Water Day Spa! :)

I bought my mother a gift certificate and Rebecca was extremely rude to my mother at the front desk. She came in for a full package and left without her manicure. The front desk is the reason I will never spend money here again! The massage therapist was great however.

Been having my brows waxed with Julie since I was 13 and my eyebrows micro-bladed since I was 18. I have always left the salon feeling satisfied and content. I have also done manicure and pedicure with Tony and Jenny and have always loved my experience. Tony gave me the best dip/SNS nails I have ever had. Erika and Nora are some of the kindest soul and give the best facials. Get any service at Blu Water Day Spa and I can assure you you will have a lovely experience. They truly deserve all 5 stars!

The entire staff at Blu Water led by Julie and Philip is friendly, professional, and always helpful. The front desk staff is attentive and very good at scheduling (and rescheduling) many many appointments every day. The skin care staff, permanent makeup staff, and nail techs are uniformly excellent and very talented. Blu Water is deservedly one of the outstanding day spas in the Washington Metro area.

I am a regular client at Blu Water and have been going there for years. I love every aspect of this place. I feel like family when I enter Blu Water. My regular services include manicures and waxing, and occasionally I will treat myself to a massage. I have taken advantage of the new hair salon, and have been very pleased with the outcome. The owners are deeply committed to providing the best spa experience. I would highly recommend Blu Water, and I often do.

I and the hairstylist had very different ideas of what haircut I wanted. I left quickly so I wouldn't cry in front of people. I expected to have my hair hit at my collarbone. It's been several weeks and I still can barely put it behind my ears or in a ponytail. I had explained that I wear a ponytail every week day and am pretty wash and go. I still get aggravated mad when I have to blow dry and then use a flat iron on my hair to straighten it. Not to mention, the back of my hair is crooked. I just found the receipt for $250 and decided it was time to write the review. I was charged for full highlights, I got partial highlights and my roots already look like I need to go get them done again when my hair hasn't grown much. I went to another salon in Bethesda and that bill was also magically $250, so I guess that's the going rate.

Jenny Le has been doing my nails for 20 years and I will go wherever she is! I also really like the salon. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant and everyone who works there is great.

No surprise they only have 3.5 stars. They suck at customer service. I've been a client for 2 years and only because their nail technicians are superb; however, the one I go to habitually takes too long to complete the nail services. It is common for me to have to wait 20 min. after my appointment time. Yet, if you are 15 min. late they're already calling you to give away your appt. time to someone else. I've been very frustrated on a regular basis. When I requested perhaps a discount or something for the frustration, they manager said that since my tech is notoriously running late, and ALL her clients know that, she won't be offering me a discount.

I was sick for over 2 years. I was given a gift card to go to this spa by my brother-in-law since he watched me decline so rapidly. It took me 6 months after I received the card to finally try, and i am so glad I did. I tried the signature facial and massage first. I figured they would be a good test of the kind of service they provide. They were both amazing. I usually have Erika (spelling?) For all skin cars needs. She knows my skin, knows what I can And can't have plus she is just a wonderful human being, in general. I have had 3 different people for my massages. The last 2 visits, however, have been with a new team member. She brought with her the most wonderful Thai massage. The Thai massage really gives the rest of the muscles a real workout. I didn't even know how bad off I really was until all the pressure was released. It is a truly epic experience. I have also done mani pedis. Relaxing and worth the time. The "make your own" mix of spices to use is really fun. I can make sure I am getting something I am not allergic to. Try the Thai massage and ask for Erika for your skin care needs.

Love Bluwater Day Spa! Kelly has always done my nails and toes and she is awesome! She does a great job and she is so sweet and great to talk to! My mom is a client as well and Jenny does an amazing job on her nails and toes. Shes been her client for at least 15 years, shes like family! Would recommend Jenny or Kelly to anyone!!

Everyone is very friendly and polite. Jennie (Thien) Le has done my nails more than 15 years and I just love her work. She remembers how I like my nails shaped and how long. I have never had an infection since I've been going to Blu Water Day Spa, and their previous salon (Peter's Nails), but I had a few infections at the salon I used to go to in Virginia. They use sterile instruments when doing their manicures and pedicures, and if requested you may purchase instruments which you bring every time you come for service for your use only, but you'd have no way to sterilize them. For as long as I am able I will never go anywhere else.

Horrible customer service. My girlfriend went in for a Swedish massage and i was advised your spa took Spa week and Spa Finder gift cards as i made her appointment. Once she is finished with her service they told her they do not accept spafinder gift cards. Keep in mind they said it was a technical issue when she had gone on February 7, 2017 and then today March 21, 2017 apparently your spa does not take spa finder or spa week gift cards. I think as an inconvenience i should be compensated for this. Not a worry will report further....

First time going here. I love this place! I had Johnny helping me. I went for a pedicure. He was very thorough and gentle with my feet. My feet are sensitive and he did very well at not hurting them and made them feel like I'm walking on fluffy pillows. The entire atmosphere of the place is wonderful! It's very peaceful and tranquil. I will definitely be back for another spa pedicure.

This place is magical. I have been coming in for last 4 years and it never fails to amaze how professional every single staff member has always been! Ivetta is my ALL TIME FAVORITE, literally the best aesthetician I have ever had treating my face hands down. I have recommended her to literally all my friends and clients, she has so much experience she can treat ANY skin condition from fair to pigmented skin. I got my eyebrows done by Julie a couple of years ago and had 2 touch ups since then- outstanding job, I always get compliments and people usually have to take a second and closer look to see that's a tattoo. Recently I have discovered Kim, who gave me the most perfect gel manicure ever- super even, no "bumps" or thick edges- ladies who get gel will know what I am talking about. Lasted full 4 weeks with no chips or cracks, took it off because my nails grew out too much and I like them shorter. It is far from my house but even the 45 minute drive will not stop me from coming back over and over again. Thank you BluWater! Love you guys! P.S. almost forgot. Ladies at the reception make it super easy for you. Never once I had and issue with the schedule and moreover never once I caught even a glimpse of attitude ( and I change my appointments a lot due to my always changing schedule) Lengthy review, I know, but so much positive experience I just couldn't make it any shorter. Definitely highly recommend!

I visited Blu Water Day Spa for a Royal Pedicure. It was a fabulous experience. I was greeted at the door by a friendly receptionist. She immediately found my reservation and escorted me to the back to get comfortable and prepared for my treatment. The entire atmosphere of the spa was relaxing. My nail technician was very helpful. She made me feel relaxed and offered me wine or beverage as well as nuts to snack on while receiving services. The Royal Pedicure was fabulous. It was all that was expected based on the description. I left feeling completely calm. I will highly recommend this establishment for spa services. I plan to return to try some of their other services.
