Over-priced with retail-chain quality. Think massage envy. Very disappointed in the manicure/pedicure services especially. The facility is very nice but I'd prefer if the quality of services was the main draw not the waiting area or locker room.

Have had massages from both Neesa and Jason and I have to say they are both awesome, as was Kelly, who did my nails. They call their waiting area a "relaxation room" and I have to say, it is aptly named. The front desk concierge are always friendly, and the spa is located near some pretty good restaurants. There's a street car directly in front of the spa for anyone wanting to explore the city after their services are done. I've heard parking can be an issue but if you follow the advice from the concierge and leave early, it really isn't that big of an issue. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Ambience was great but the massage was the worst. She didn't even read the paper I filled out when I got there. I have rods and screws in my lower back and she actually hurt me....i had to stop her twice. Now I'm sore where she tried to give the metal in my back a deep tissue massage. Will not be going back. I still have not heard from anyone from this facility regarding my experience. FYI

I was surprised with a 50-minute massage and it was indeed a true and delightful surprise. The atmosphere was beyond serene. There was no wait time and when we were done changing into our robes, our masseuses (Karen & Tamlac) were at the door waiting for us. I had the pleasure of having a Volcanic Stone Massage and a Vichey Shower. Both services were spectacular. I highly recommend both to everyone if they are able. The Serenity room before, between and after services was very tranquil. I will be returning and visiting other Woodhouse Spas in other cities and they will have a very high standard to live up to.

I haven't been to the Woodhouse New Orleans spa in a few years and recently received a gift certificate and decided to return. The kinks that were present after they initially opened are long gone. The staff is professional, efficient and friendly. My massage therapist, Jason, is wonderful and I leave feeling totally relaxed. The relaxation room is nice but can be noisy at times when groups are present. It may be helpful to put groups in the back area and close the dividing door. Otherwise, my visits there have been peaceful and relaxing- just what the doctor ordered

We were very well accommodated, and the quiet room they reserved for us was lovely and serene. Even though the weather caused us to be late they made arrangements for us so we wouldn't miss our spa day. I absolutely loved the massage and everyone in my party felt the same. I've been getting services there for a long time. I have had massages and facials and pedicures. I've been there with a friend and alone and I always feel like the people that provide the services are exceptional. I like the surroundings, the comfy furniture, the low lighting and the beverages. My last massage with Neesa, was one of the best I've ever had. If I had anything that I'm not crazy about, it would be the co-ed lounge space. Has it always been that way? I thought it used to be separate. Anyway, I give it a solid 5 stars and will continue to enjoy their services.

One of the good things about this day spa is the location. Mid City New Orleans is one of the best places in the City & Woodhouse gets it right. A few other good things: online scheduling of services, many food places in the area, online gift certificate printing, text & email notification of upcoming appointments, great staff, relaxing environment... Just to name a few. One of the not so good things about this location is the size. This spa is one of the smaller spas I've EVER been to; I consider myself the day spa aficionado. I believe I even spoke with one of the owners regarding the lack of space in this facility. One other not so good thing is the parking situation. The day spa shares a parking lot with the nearby restaurant & a housing unit/residential unit. I do frequent this location for the services, but hate fighting for a parking spot.

The stars are for the service - it was great, but this location is just not worth going to. Parking is a nightmare - they even send you an advance email admonishing you to come early enough to hunt for parking so you don't make it late to your appointment. So by the time you walk blocks to get there after hunting for a spot it is impossible to relax (at least for me). Not necessarily the fault of the business, just the way it is. But I will look forward to taking my business to the new Metairie location once it opens.

I had an early morning appointment. 9am on a Saturday. The bathroom sink and surrounding area had obviously had not been wiped down from the night before. An eyesore was one of the first things I saw which then lead me to wonder if the shower had been sanitized, etc. I clean for a living and am in tune to these observations and something like a sink not even wiped down leaves me with a feeling the rest of the place is just as unsanitary even if it's not visible to the eye. In the past I've had Misha do my facials. Between her personality, care, questions she asks, magic touch and quality of her professionalism, she is a difficult one to replace. I have no complaints about my service but nothing stood out either about the experience. Well yes it does in fact. I just remembered as I was laying on the table afterwards relaxing, she knocked, stuck her head in and asked if everything was ok. Understandable, maybe I did lay there a little longer, didn't seem like it, but none the less, in the end I felt rushed. I do hope you'll pay attention to cleanliness and appearances. For me, I really would rather find out where Misha went and try that spa. I'm no longer impressed with the Woodhouse Spa.

The Woodhouse Day Spa is undoubtedly my favorite spa in all of Metro New Orleans. I have had facials, massages, pedicures and manicures here. I have never been disappointed. This is the only spa in the city where you have that true, high-end spa service, but for a reasonable price! I always arrive about 45 minutes early because one of my favorite features is pre-treatment... You arrive and they greet you by showing you to the changing room where a robe and slippers (in your size) are waiting for you. Then, the hostess brings you to the quiet room where you can sip tea, fruit-infused water, wine or champagne! It is the best way to unwind.

I gave up on nail salons in New Orleans, for the lack of experience, services that you pay for and never get, and actual technique. I'm glad I found this place because it will be my return spot every two weeks. Thank goodness for a real spa experience.

My experience was a little stressful. I drove around for about 10 minutes trying to find a parking space because all the spaces in their "lot" were full. I tried to call and ask if they had any other parking and I was placed on hold for five minutes. I hung up and called back. They immediately placed me on hold again. Finally, I parked in the Walgreens parking lot across the street as I did not want to be late, but then I couldn't relax because the whole time I was worried I might get towed. I told the people at the front desk when I finally made it in and they kind of shrugged it off. Finally, when I got to my massage, it was mediocre. I asked the girl to focus on my upper back and shoulders, but she spent like 15 minutes rubbing the top of my feet. It was odd. Definitely do not feel it was worth the extra money I paid to go there. Probably won't ever return.

I didn't even get passed the initial scheduling part. I just called to schedule an appointment and spoke with a receptionist named Sarah. She was uninterested, rude, and just plain not helpful... and I'm EASY! Businesses need to know that the FIRST point of contact is their front desk person/receptionist. These are their front-line solidiers. Sarah needs more training on customer service, because today the spa just lost a sale. I woke up wanting a full day of bliss, and asked her for suggestions on a massage and facial (and perhaps she's having a bad morning) but she just literally seemed to care less, and had a major attitude in her voice..so now I'm off to find somewhere else.

Heaven on earth! I bring a friend & go as often as possible on a week day as weekends are obviously more popular. BYO wine and snacks and the excellent staff will Ice it down, plate it up & have it waiting for you in the serene quite room. The services are not cheap so check the internet for coupons. I can usually find a 20% or more discount offer a few times per year. There is not one negative thing I can say about Woodhouse Day Spa or their staff.

The massage was good, however, for the price it was not worth it. I have paid less and gotten more. It was loud. It was crowded in the relaxation room, hard to relax when you feel like a sardine. There was only water, pretzels and tea in the room. Other LUXURY spa I have gone too had fruit, muffins, wine...as I was leaving I overheard the hostess asking a lady if she would like a glass of wine. I was there 1 hour prior to my appointment and no one asked me anything. They need more relaxation rooms, better sound insulation and need to treat all guests equally special with the wine. Minor details like disposable underwear for those getting waxing or body services has always been standard when I visit a LUXURY spa, here it was not. For the price I paid, I had to either mess up my underwear with the oils and lotion or as the hostess told me wear nothing and it will be just fine. I did not enjoy my experience, won't be back. UPDATE: I was contacted by management and offered to come back at a discounted price because my previous visit is not a representation of The Woodhouse Day Spa. I am not from there and am not sure when I will return but when I do, I will revisit. I applaud the customer service of this spa with managment who are dedicated to make each visit right.
