I decided to try float therapy after seeing it on Groupon. The salon was clean, the staff was friendly, the environment was relaxing. Had I been prepared for what to expect, I think I would've had a better experience. I did a bit of research on the benefits of float therapy but I didn't think to research: "what NOT to do before you float." When we first walked into the salon we had to sign a waiver, confirming we hadn't done XYZ. But I think it would've been more beneficial to have the front desk brief us on their guidelines, while they had us on the phone or shoot us an email, after making our appointment. For example, our waiver states "I have not just dyed my hair"...well, it just so happens I had a hair appointment the very next day. What if I had booked a float appointment right after? That would've inconvenienced me and the salon if I was turned away not knowing about this precaution in advance. And why? Does the salt strip the color? Would it stain the tub? Or is that just a disclaimer they have to include? The waiver also says "I have no open wounds or sores"...well that's just something every public pool and hot tub says, no big deal. But I didn't realize a hangnail, or having just shaved, would feel like a sunburn once I hit the water. The girl at the front desk mentioned using Vaseline if we had any "cuts" but no further explanation than that. Was I supposed to put Vaseline all over my legs? I certainly didn't think i had any "cuts." Maybe warn your customers not to shave prior and explain that the salt will aggravate the "open wound." It took me about 35 minutes to ignore the burning sensation after seriously debating just getting out. I'm also a contact wearer. My eyes were SO dry at the end of the hour but of course!! 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt will do that! Maybe warn your clients to wear their glasses instead. I know I sound nit-picky but having worked in a salon-environment, I feel that every establishment should prep their clients. I used to work at a tanning salon and we told every client before getting a spray tan: shave, exfoliate, don't wear lotion, etc... Knowing not every client will do thorough research on their own, we did our best to ensure their BEST experience.

The flotation was great, nice shower in the room & the pod was comfortable. I'm 6'2 & had a couple inches left over, so I'd say 6'4/5" and under could use this. Our experience was good but it was super weird that the person manning the desk totally didn't come get me out of the room even when it had been 2 hours; the pod I was in didn't give the signal that time was up and she left me in there! I had an appointment that I was late for because I had no clue how long I had been in the pod - there's no clock or timer on the wall outside the pod even. I will probably go back but will set myself an alarm or take a water proof clock in! My only other issue is that I wish I could have chosen the music/sound. I would have liked straight ocean or rain sounds but didn't have an option.

This place is wonderful and very clean! I love sitting in the Infrared Sauna's and detoxing, it has help me sleep better at night and has helped with back pain relief. They also have Flotation Therapy, it is one of the coolest things I have ever experienced!! After a float I feel so refreshed, relaxed and stress free!

So.... I bought two float sessions for me and my husband. It was a weird experience. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the girl working had done a better job explaining what to do. Believe it or not, never floated in salt water before! She should have told us that there were ear plugs so you don't get salt in your ears. Which stays in your ears for like two weeks! So annoying!! Also, salt water drips on you and if you open your eyes, it burns... So I would bring goggles if I ever did that again.

I purchased a package for the infrared sauna sessions. Every time I walk into Acqua, I feel so relaxed--the environment is calming and clean. You are greeted by very friendly staff who walk you through the process and answer your questions. Once you are in the sauna, there is an auxiliary cord to hook up to your phone and listen to whichever music or book you'd like! The LED lights are set to rotate colors, but you can also choose which light color relaxes you most. In just three visits, I already had seen a reduction in water weight and my skin felt so soft. Don't wait to try it out!

ACQUA Wellness has a very modern, clean, and tranquil atmosphere. I saw an add on Groupon and thought I would give it a try. When I got there, I was greeted by a woman who took me back to my room. She explained everything to me and then started the timer. They have everything you could need there: towels, robe, shower shoes, shampoo & conditioner, body wash, makeup remover wipes, etc. They even have a nice ready room for you to fix yo after your treatments that has combs, qtips, blow dryers, perfume, and other necessities. Regarding the float, it was so peaceful. When I read about floatation therapy, I thought there was no way that I would get into the pod and turn off the lights and sound... but I did and I would highly recommend it! It didn’t feel cramped at all, and I was so relaxed. You feel like there is no gravity! My only note would be to make sure that when your float is over, be careful sitting up because my hair dripped some saltwater into my eyes. Other than that, it was great! I was overall very pleased with my experience and look forward to trying their other services!

My first visit to Acqua Wellness was wonderful! I did 45 minutes in the infrared sauna. So relaxing and peaceful. I have note yet tried floating but look forward to many more visits. This place is so clean and well kept! All of the employees were so helpful and accommodating. I will definitely continue coming back to Acqua Wellness!

Fantastic place. Very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the infrared sauna for its many great benefits including weight loss, improved skin health/appearance and detox. The float is also a very tranquil experience for anyone that is looking to unwind or soothe what ails you. Everything is very moderately priced. I have been going to Acqua Wellness consistently (multiple times per week) for over 6 months and can very confidently, from experience give a 5 star rating knowing that the facilities and staff will fully backup my claim by meeting and exceeding your expectations when you visit. If you are from or visiting the Louisville area I highly recommend giving Acqua Wellness a visit.

Let me start by saying the facility is beautiful! The staff is super friendly and informative too. They make sure they provide you necessary items to enjoy your sessions here like lotions, hair dryer, deodorant, etc. I came across this place on Groupon and I definitely recommend it. I will say, for the floats, if you are not used to being alone in a quiet space, you may not like the experience. Also, for anyone that is natural or has big hair try to big a turbie towel and shampoo.

This was a super relaxing experience. The young lady who checked me in and showed me how everything worked was incredibly nice and helpful. Everything was very clean and all of the decor made you feel like you were at a remote spa off the beaten path despite being in the heart of Springhurst. The flotation therapy was the most relaxing experience that I have had in the last year, and I will definitely be coming back!
