The distance from my wedding venue (from Downtown Lawrence all the way to the West) did not stop me because they had great service. Wende took all of my questions when I booked my appointment. Her hair and make-up stylist, Ashley, executed my look very nicely; I made clear what I wanted (a look that reminded me of my tropical roots that fit well with the summer), and then she added her recommendations to stunning, beautiful effect. The effect was gorgeous on both the make-up trial and the day of. My only gripe was that when she gets carried away, we take so long on the chair, but I also enjoy her company very much and learn a lot from her. Thank you ladies!

Horrible experience, or should I say EXPERIENCES. I have gotten my hair highlighted for well over ten years now and went to Lada for a FULL highlight, however when I got home and pulled my hair up realized half of my head had not been touched at all. After going back to get it corrected two times, I was left with yellow hair, half still not even touched. I have never felt so rushed or ignored by a hair stylist in my life. Will never return. I advise you to check your hair fully before leaving, if you dare go there.

Prior to her death, my mom was a tremendous fan of Lada. I have never seen a styling salon go so far out of their way to accommodate an elderly client; to make her feel so welcome and appreciated. My mom referred all her friends to Lada and I refer many college students there, particularly those who are new to KU and need to re-establish services from their hometown. One can't go wrong with Lada.

I walked in at 4:50 for my 5:00 appointment to be TOLD, not asked. "Amy is running very behind so we decided it would be better for you to see Brandon." "Amy is leaving in 6 weeks anyway so it would be better." I let the receptionist know that if Amy was running behind they could have called me. I specifically wanted to see Amy as she was highly recommended by a friend. If you want to OFFER me options that is great but please don't tell me YOU made a decision for me that is better. It was better for YOU not for me.

Soo, I just want to start off by saying the salon itself was nice and I have no complaints as far as customer service goes. I had a last minute event that I needed my hair cut and colored for and they got me in the next day. So I get there at 9:30 and my stylist is Caitlin P... sweet girl, but she doesn’t seem to know a whole bunch about hair, or so it seemed like. The whole time she kept asking me my opinion as if she was unsure of what she was doing, she didn’t seem confident off the bat and I should have just trusted my instincts and not have her do my hair. She was also really slow and kept dropping things... But, I had an event to attend and we were halfway done. So then, my hair is done and I notice it’s spotty.. like she got the color in the wrong spot, so I said something and she was unsure what to do, so I asked if we could get a second opinion and she brought over Brandon, the manager and he was so sweet and patient and fixed my hair. Thank god he was there! But to make long story short, I am use to paying anywhere between 200-300 for my hair, which I have no problem doing as long as it’s good quality. She should have told me she wasn’t comfortable doing it. Next time, I’ll be going to Brandon.

From the aesthetics to the team, Lada has it covered and is serving. From the moment I walk in, the experience is about ME and what I want. And not to sounds like a crazy selfish person, but it’s amazing! Brandon is super busy, but if you get lucky enough to book with him, you won’t go anywhere else I promise and I can’t imagine anyone else on his team not serving it!!
