This wasn't the best experience I've had at a salon. The woman who did my hair was very friendly and pleasant. However, she took a small chuck off of one side around my face, and not the other, that looks weird when I put my hair up. I just cut some off the other side myself so that at least it was symmetrical. Not ideal.

Libby was absolutely amazing. She made me feel comfortable from the moment I was in her care. She had great conversation skills but also focused on the task at hand. She actually explained what was going to happen and focused on how best to help MY skin. If you need a facial and to take some time for yourself, I couldn’t recommend her more.

Atmosphere is awesome and the salon is beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and Ken did an amazing job on my hair. He did exactly what I wanted and made me feel really comfortable. Yes they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and it was so worth it. Thanks for a great experience guys!

I don't get my hair done often, but when I did I always experienced that awkward "what do you talk to the stylist about or do you sit there not saying anything and do you really trust your hair with them" scenario. That is, until I went to Jess at Urban Vintage. Jess is so high energy and easy going. She makes it a real joy to be sitting in that chair. Not only is she (and everyone else at Urban Vintage) friendly but they know their stuff. I have never been happier with how my hair turns out and the level of professionalism and ability that they offer. Honestly, I can never move because I would never find a comparable hair studio where I would be as happy as I have been at Urban Vintage!

I've been with Jess for 10 years now and hope to never need another stylist. She does a great job, and knows what I like and what I'm curious about. When I decided to start doing some highlights she knew just the right color combination and it always turns out great--thanks Jess! Everyone at Urban Vintage is fun, polite and in tune with the needs of their customers. It's kind of a funky place, makes me want to try something new and a bit "out there", knowing it will still look professional when she's done. I've occasionally used someone else when Jess was not available and never been disappointed. Keep up the good work!! :)

I have been to Urban Vintage on 2 occasions and have LOVED my hair and the whole experience both times. Jess and her staff certainly know how to pamper someone and make us look and feel beautiful!. I've seen Jess herself and Ken....both were the best stylists I've ever been to! Color was amazing, cut was perfect for my face shape and nothing I would have chosen on my own. I was driving to the Quad Cities for good hair cuts because I couldn't find a salon around here that did a good job. I recently went to Jess, and will never go to anybody else again. Jess knows her stuff, gives GREAT haircuts, and is just plain enthusiastic about the job. I walked in her salon not sure what I wanted, and walked out with "pep in my step." Look her up on facebook and see how bad a** her and her shop both are. Then schedule an appointment. You will not be disappointed!

I was charged $175 to have 6 highlights placed. I asked for all over bayalage highlights. They put bleach in my hair, washed it, dried it and said I was done. I was in such shock when I left I could't say anything. I look terrible. They didn't even tone it. I have no idea what the $175 is for because they didn't use any product except for a minimal amount of bleach. I had to attend a major work function looking like I was practiced on by a teenager. I went back into the salon to have my concerns addressed and they assured me a manager would call me. I still haven't spoken to a manager and I've called in twice. They set me up for another consult to have it fixed in a week. Seriously? I have to walk around looking like this for a week? I could go to another salon and have it fixed for less money but I need the money from my hack job back to get it done. I am a mother and rarely treat myself to a hair do. Taking this much time to try to fix something that should have been handled already it beyond irritating. I'm frustrated, disappointed, embarrassed and upset that I even have to go back at all.

Urban Vintage is the salon I always go back to. I have never had a bad experience here. I have had three of the stylists cut my hair to date. The stylists know what they're doing and go out of their way to show you genuine warmth and love for what they do! The price is worth it, trust me! You will leave looking awesome and feeling good about yourself. I recommend this place to men and women alike.

I am new to the area and a friend from work recommended this salon. I had a stylist named Sarah and felt she did an excellent job. The stylist was professional and funny, very positive energy. The salon itself I would describe as hip but comfortable. The other girls seemed to be happy to be there, and I didn't feel at all uncomfortable as I do sometimes in salons. With the convenient location, quality hair cut and good atmosphere I would definitely recommend this salon to a friend.

Usually I try to save money everywhere but it's just worth it to get a cut here. These people really love what they do.
