I had my first European facial with Michelle (Mother's Day gift) and she did a wonderful job! She explained everything well & gave me a new skin care routine. My face looked so wonderful afterwards and it was such a relaxing experience. The receptionists were very kind and helpful and the spa was very clean. I would recommend West Glen to anyone and will definitely be returning! Thanks, ladies!!

This place is great. I called and scheduled a very short notice hour long massage and was squeezed in that same day. The massage was fantastic and the steam shower afterwords really brought home the bacon. Do yourself a favor and get your next massage at The Spa at West Glen.

This is the ONLY place I go in town when I am in need of pampering! The services are endless, the facility is top-notch, the staff is professional..and this is all overseen by the amazing, Dr. Heidi Shearer-Koch. Her professional & personal touch is felt during the entire experience. I will never go anywhere else...neither should you!!

I had my eye brows done and the lady was terrible. She said she couldn't finish them the way I liked and I had to go home and do it myself after spending 25 bucks.

Received a gift certificate as a Christmas gift and misplaced it during a move. When I called to make an appointment and explain what had happened, the receptionist was quite rude and said there was absolutely nothing they could do. I know when the gift was purchased that an account had to be set up, and in turn it would be on file. The fact that she said "absolutely nothing" could be done was such a turn off and terrible customer service. I would not recommend going here to anyone.

I booked a 60 minute appointment and was rushed through in half an hour and still payed full price. I looked back at what I had purchased and there was no "relaxing facial massage and mask." I thought I might stay and relax with a glass of wine since I had the extra time but that now requires a concierge and there isn't one to be found without leaving the back area in your robe. Really a bummer. I've been a customer there for years but it's gotten really bad....looking for a new spa.

I was looking to purchase a gift certificate for my Mom's 60th birthday with specific services on it. I called and spoke to Jeff who said I could do anything I wanted and if I did 3 services I would get 10% off. I said I would call back once I looked online at options since I live out of state. When I looked online there was a special for massages and facials for 15% off which was perfect since that's exactly what I wanted! When I called back I got a lady and explained my conversation and the add online and she told me I couldn't do that. She said I was only able to purchase a specific dollar amount and IF my Mom booked by the deadline of the special (2 days-when she would get her gift) then she could have the discount but I couldn't purchase those specific items at the discount or even specific services. She was really unfriendly and unhelpful. Needless to say they didn't get my business and another local spa did where I was able to get her exactly what I wanted and at an even lower price!

I have had the best massages from Kelli!!, Andrea and Mallory but I know anyone I would go to would be amazing. Usually I come in to see Kelli for general relaxation and/or muscle release but recently I had an injury. I was able to get an appt scheduled quickly and the massage I received was more than amazing! Andrea spent her time, knowledge and her strength to bring my body back to feeling better!! The front desk has always been more than polite. I even left my wedding ring there and they made sure I got it back :). I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEWARE when you pay for a service or use a gift card that you check your credit card receipt that you are being charged the amount you were told. I received a 300.00 service and had a 240.00 gift card which I redeemed and payed for the remainder on my card. when I checked my bank account I had a charge for 300.00 from them. When I called them they said they had no record of me using a gift card. I demanded that I be reimbursed. They did reimburse me but by check and would not credit my account. They said they would take my word for it. All I can say is thanks for nothing.

I had a massage and it was relaxing and the environment is great! Would totally recommend it for these types of things. Also had Botox since I had already set up my massage. I would say my plastic surgeon does a better job downtown Des Moines. It's totally fine to get Botox here, but my plastic surgeon understands the nuances I think better than most. My eyebrow shape and "look" was much better with him. Just a suggestion. But, West Glen Spa...totally awesome for relaxation and rejuvenation!

Spent a wonderful morning at the spa today. I used gift cards given to me by family. Their gift cards never expire which is great for someone who rarely takes time to get pampered. Super great facial by Carol and a massage by Andrea. Friendly, knowledgeable and so sweet. I will be back.

I've been getting massages/facial services at the spa for a while, but now that I'm pregnant I have a whole new level of appreciation for a good massage! They even have a special bed so I can comfortably lay on my stomach. I see Keziah, she's amazing, but in all honesty you can't go wrong with any of the therapists at The Spa at West Glen!

I came in for a HydraFacial as I’m getting married in less than 2 weeks, and I want my skin to be wedding ready. However, when I went in, and spoke with the expert, Carol; she said that based on my skin concerns a facial wouldn’t help that, as facials are meant for relaxation and suggested the Dermapen. Mind you, I’m not a medical esthetician, I’m not an expert. She “explained” the differences between the two, but I wasn’t aware it was just a pen, and I asked, with her being the expert, what she would suggest for my skin and she immediately said the Dermapen so I went along with it. Granted, my skin looks and feels amazing (which is why I’m giving 2 stars rather than just 1), It really does, and Carol was great, but I feel like I was duped. I wanted a FACIAL, but what I got was her going over my skin with a pen 3 times and I was done. For the amount of money I paid, nearing $200 I’m really disappointed that I wasn’t given the “relaxation” that Carol said a facial would do. I know I asked for her opinion, but of course she would suggest the more expensive option that requires the least amount of work. I’m very upset, and I went in with very HIGH expectations as The Spa came very highly recommended to me. I didn’t get a mask, I didn’t get a face, head, neck or shoulder massage, and once she actually began I was out in 20 minutes, which nearly $200 is not worth. I will not be back. There are plenty of other options to choose from around here.

I have come to The Spa at West Glen for prenatal massages for all of my pregnancies and the therapist, Kelli, was wonderful! However, the front desk staff was very rude about a request for information following my last service. My insurance is wonderful and covers up to 20 massages per year. However, the way I was treated and the lack of response from the office manager when I had requested information really turned me off. I was talked down to and the office manager never returned my messages. I will be cancelling all future appointments and will not return again. Very disappointed. I had been coming to the spa for over a decade, but there are other options in the area.

The staff at The Spa at West Glen is so warm and friendly. Twice now, Dr. Koch made my eye area look so much more youthful with dermal filler.
