I’m only giving them one star because I can’t give 0. A week ago I scheduled for a hair appointment for today at 3 pm. I was promised that I would receive a phone call a few days before my appointment but that never happened. Then today I was in my car about to leave for my appointment and I receive a call saying they were 3 hours behind and they had to cancel my appointment. May I mind you that this was 40 minutes before my appointment that they decided to give me a call. The lady then put me on hold for 8 minutes and said she could get me in on Monday at 1:30. I specifically told her that I work 7:30-5:30 M-F and I leave next weekend for a wedding. I desperately needed to get my hair done so I wasn’t stressing about how bad it looked while I was away. This business is VERY unprofessional. I usually check out reviews before I go somewhere and saw this place had almost 5 stars but looks can be so deceiving. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

So it's my birthday today. I decided I wanted a hair cut. I saw the reviews and I thought wow I want to go there. I called about 5-6 times to ask them questions. Never answered. I go up there to ask the questions and get my hair done. She told me she was closing early for a Christmas party. I wasted my gas and my time.

Only Aveda spa in Indiana with hydrolic beds which is good for the massage therapist to get good leverage. Atmosphere is top notch! Staff is superb! No expense spared along with free valet parking and access to use the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. My ONLY choice for spending spa time!

They are not professional hair cut! I got hair cut 90mins, but my hair totally different from my picture that I show. And, it too shot. I paid 47$ is not including Tips. So, I have to redo it!!

I had an appointment on 01/25/2017. What a wonderful experience. My stylist, Faisal, was attentive and thorough. I prefer my hair to be cut in an asymmetrical bob, and he did just that. I could not have asked for better customer service. Thank you Faisal!

Stopped in here while in Indy for a convention and it was the perfect break from all the chaos. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is both fun and relaxed. I got a simple cut and style and it was a smooth experience. I loved my stylist and I loved my hair. The prices are great for the services provided.

Truly enjoyed my visit to Evan Todd Spa---in town for the NCAAW Final Four---My facial with Sandy was very relaxing and my skin felt great afterwards; Had a deep tissue massage with Tammi that was fabulous! Scheduled a second session with her before I leave for home I highly recommend this spa

I started getting my hair done here and was really happy, the last time I went my hairdresser left bleach on my hair for too long. I thought it was weird when he offered a free damage repair hair product. A couple weeks later my hair broke off and never been the same since. I have gone to someone new 2 times spending a lot of money and applying tons of conditioner and to this day I’m still having breakage and damage. I know I should of said something sooner but nowadays people/companies don’t try to make things right. Guess I’ll just hope I find something that will help with all the damage/breakage.

The actual services were amazing. However, there is no quiet room. You can sit by the pool which is open to all hotel guests and shares a glass wall with the gym. The hot tub is next to the pool and while I was in the hot tub, a sweaty man came straight from the gym to rinse off in the hot tub.

Best spa I've been to in Indianapolis. The staff takes great care of you and it is such a calm and lovely space. Quiet (no cellphones) and relaxing. Had a fabulous facial and mani/pedi. I'm a big fan of Aveda products which they use here. Already booked my next appointment!

Syam is the only massage therapist I trust in Indianapolis! He gives a great deep tissue massage. He actually knows what he is doing and doesn’t just put pressure on your body so you think your getting fix. Syam’s massages are strategic and heeling. Anytime someone is asking about a massage I recommend him because I know he is truely talented and will do a great job.

I remember Spa Chakra - a peaceful zen like place. I came here while visiting from out of town, for a manicure and a pedicure. I had an express manicure (which was like what you'd get at your locally owned small mani/pedi shop) and a Caribbean pedicure, which was the only pedicure with massage on the menu that I could see. Making an appointment was a nightmare. I live on the west coast, and I first emailed with them, and they were not respondent, and multiple people then responded with conflicting information. I gave them my phone number and they told me to call them. I guess they didn't need my business that bad. I eventually did call, and they never called me back after I left two voice mails. Eventually I talked to a human being after three days of failed communication - on my way to the airport. I wanted to come here - I remembered Spa Chakra and I love the Conrad, and my hotel, JW Marriott, didn't have a spa. So making an appointment was a terrible pain. I have to say, my manicure and pedicure look great, they did a wonderful job, however, I generally go to high end spas for a relaxing experience. This is, price wise, as pricey as the Fairmont in Sonoma, California, that I go to for a super relaxing experience. However, this was not relaxing. No one who worked there could have been older than 25. Spa professionals of tomorrow have to start someplace, but, I was shocked at the lack of maturity in the staff for a high end hotel spa. The pedicure area is in the middle of a busy corridor. The chairs are not relaxing at all, and perhaps I'm spoiled with the massage chairs of places cheaper than this. The young ladies were dressed super funky, and I felt like I was at a MAC counter, not at a relaxing spa. I was offered a water upon arrival, and when I ordered a glass of champagne it didn't arrive until my manicure was half way finished (which took place after the pedicure). Anyway, the staff were all nice, but, they were super chatty - when I go to a spa like this I expect to be encouraged to chill out, relax....and I wasn't. I was privy to gossip and chit chatting and the usual hair salon type of stuff. And they were really nice women, but, I just wanted to be quiet and fall asleep while getting my foot massage. That didn't happen. My nails look great, don't get me wrong, but the vibe wasn't what I was looking for. I wanted zen chilling relaxation...and sadly did not get it here.

My stylist was fantastic and she did a great job. BUT, I had 2 appointments back to back cancelled on me and never followed up with to reschedule, and this can be very upsetting, especially if I was in major need for a cut. Definitely a high-end salon if you don't mind risking a cancelled appointment. I won't be back, but it is not quality related...

As the adage goes, "You get what you pay for." This is an Aveda salon with trained, professional, and staff that are willing to educate clients about their hair, skin, or nail care. As someone who has been with two different stylists since starting to come here I feel confident that no matter who you see you will leave feeling great about your services. I am now getting cut & styled by Nicole. Her and her predecessor both gave me the cut, color, and style I want everytime-within reason. Meaning, if in their professional opinion what u want is not healthy for your hair then they will tell u but also work with u to get as close as possible to what u do want. They may also fo above and beyond to find a different salon that will accomplish your goals in a healthy manner. Either way, I go 7 weeks between visits and from the moment I leave to the 7 weeks later when I go back I receive compliments on my hair consistently!!! I love the setting, staff, and results so I highly recommend this place for your hair needs!!

I went to Evan Todd at first looking for a spa day for my bridal party. I test out their massage and hair services and really liked the place. I was truly interested in the spa and set and appointment for the day before my wedding. We talk about the different services and spa options I had available. When I had not heard anything for over a month (nothing about the pricing agreement, times, all was just discussion - nothing set in stone) I gave them a call and sent an email. Luckily I had someone get back with me. However, several times I had to get a hold of them about giving me certain information they forgot or remind them to answer questions. I truly think that is very unprofessional for a "high end" salon. When I finally got all the information I needed, one of my bridesmaids was having issues taking days off and when I spoke to them over the phone, I told them I would let the know for sure and when it was finalized I would send my deposit. That was around April 19th. After that, I had not heard anything from them - I was of course busy and due to bridesmaid issues I never contacted them either. I thought that was that. On May 29 (day before my wedding) I get a call about my missed appointment and that they sent me an email regarding my cancelation fee of 100% of the services. I checked my email and they are telling me I owe $900 for services I didn't even have because I signed a contract. Pissed off I called, basically they give me the cold shoulder. I told them there was never a deposit there for nothing was set in stone that I told them I wasn't 100% sure about booking and they said deposit doesn't mean anything, I signed a contract and they had no written cancelation. Therefore me calling did not count. I told them I have heard anything for over a month, nothing about a deposit, nothing about my appointment. That is is not MY JOB to remember that stuff. I'm the costumer. They basically blew me off and when I told them I wasn't paying the $900 for services I did not have they told me they will send it over to their legal department. I hung up. About 10 minutes later, I received calls, text and an email from my bank reporting fraud. Evan Todd was accessing my card on file and trying to charge my card (without my permission - right after I told them I wasn't paying). I had $200, $250, $300, $350 payments they were trying to make off my account. Kicker of the story, they are so strict on their contract - in the contract it specifically states "Your appointment date and service will be secured when the signed contract and 50% "SAVE THE DATE" deposit has been received." I never gave them a deposit - there for that date was never set in stone, which means there is no cancelation fee. I find this company lacking in customer service, professionalism and integrity. I truly dislike their handling of the situations and their threats for legal action. After that experience, I would never go to them again and would never advice anyone to go.

The facial was very good but the amenities were not as promised. I was looking to use the sauna and steam room. I tried the steam room several times and finally got the attention of the front desk. They blamed it on the engineering staff at the hotel. When I then talked to the Assistant Manager she was no more helpful. I suggested the team of people at the desk should check the amenities everyday to make sure they work. Like if the pool has no water. Very poor customer service and no one taking responsibility for making sure the experience is as promised. Nancy Blough

I was pretty bummed today by my experience at the Evan Todd Spa in Indianapolis. I took my mother in for a Mother's Day pedicure. We were supposed to get the "stress-fix" pedicure, but I am not sure how or if it was any different than any of their other pedicures. The spa was nice; the technicians were very nice, but I have had better pedicures at the walk-in place in my neighborhood and they only cost me $30. I paid 3 times as much at Evan Todd and was expecting much more in terms of time spent, services, leg massage, something! Upon booking an appointment at a business claiming to be one of the "premiere" spas in the city, I expected a much better experience.
