Spa passion is an excellent place to get a massage. Mariko is the owner and often gives the massage herself and does a very good job. The price i s also very affordable and not the typical "waikiki price" that the resorts way overcharge. Can handle one or two people and is on the second floor of a little boutique building. Surf shop down below that btw makes very good coffee. Will go again...

OMG, my shiatsu massage today was incredible! I don’t know if anyone has been able to get so deep in the muscle before, and so consistently. It was just the right amount of pressure to be effective, but never did I feel like jumping off the table or shrieking :-) I have already signed up for another one later this week! Asked for a Hawaiian massage. ‘Mariko’ said half shiatsu and half Hawaiian? I said no, just Hawaiian so then she proceeded to give me a predominately shiatsu massage, a poorly executed one at that. The entire place is in a little sketchy room with the fan an airconditioner blasting. After mentioning I was cold she just told me to move down the bed more so the aircon didn’t blow in my face. After feeling utterly disappointed and being quoted $65 for the hour. She said that price doesn’t include tip or tax and they only accept cash. I said no one ever told us that, she then pointed at a sign on the door in mostly in Japanese that didn’t actually say anything about it either trying to justify the $10 price increase. I’d be more than happy to tip generously if they give me an adequate service, but it was a pretty awful experience. In saying that my sister saw the other lady and thought she was great..

Mariko is really good with firm pressure. She uses her knees and all of her body weight ( approx 100lbs). Definitely recommend getting a massage here. It’s a cash only place with no ATM in the facility so plan ahead . It’s $65 for regular and $75 for deep tissue.

You get quality without paying for the fancy towels and prep. Trust me save the extra $100 and enjoy something else. she got a couples massages in only 2 hours ahead of time.

This is a massage place for connaisseurs of massage and massage technique and not a 'spa experience' location. I had a massage with Tae. It was a shiatsu lomi massage combined with was awesome. The pressure was great and she adapted harder when I asked without going over the top. The price is unbeatable in Waikiki I think.

Okay so get this, Hurricane Lane is about to rip through Waikiki tomorrow and a friend and I needed something to do today before we're trapped inside our hotel for a few days. We decided on a massage--perfect way to de-stress, right? We called in a few hours before we wanted a massage and got an appointment for the afternoon. We were able to call and text to change times/number of people in our group, everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of massages. I will 100% come back when I am in town again. I got a combo massage with Fumie and my friend got deep tissue/shiatsu (I think with Mariko?). My friend likes a very deep and strong massage and she said she has never been so satisfied with the amount of pressure applied. Both of us left feeling awesome and ready to watch the sunset on the beach and grab some sushi down the road. Killer spot if you don't want to pay for a fancy spa day but want to feel relaxed and get a great massage. Amidst all the chaos of the impending hurricane, Spa Passion made us feel relaxed and limber as ever, ready to take on the next few days trapped inside. They even gave us waters for the road. What a delightful find.

The place and massage are less than normal. It’s very small and you can hear customers walking in and talking, no proper privacy or noise isolation which ruins the whole relaxing experience. They even left us couple of times during the massage to open the door and welcome customers who have to sit and wait right outside your virtual room (small bed with curtains, no walls no door). During the massage they ask you if you need it little bit harder, if you say yes then they charge you $10 extra !!!! Communication in English is a bit difficult with the masseuses, they can’t understand what you really want to do or on what parts you want to focus. They insist to be paid by cash, if you don’t have enough cash (mine was around $200) they charge you 3% for using the credit card. I told them that credit card payment should me a part of any business service and It they have seen a store or restaurant that does that. They said they have never noticed that but the owner is greedy !!! At the end we agreed to pay the MANDATORY (underserved) tip by cash with one condition to rate them 5 stars. They wanted to see it first, I did that then I changed it later to 1 star. I honestly don’t recommend this place at all, it’s not cheap, they are unprofessional and you really don’t get what you’re paying for.

I have to be honest, I saw this place from my friends hotel and made fun of it. However, this place is NO joke and though it is not luxurious it is BOMB! I was in dire need of some muscle relief and Noriko with her deep tissue and shiatsu or whatever massage completely made my day! the past two times i have been in hawaii i went to refle hawaii for a lomi lomi massage. this time though, they were booked, so i had to find somewhere else. my wife went to aloha hands and i went to this establishment. first, it is in an older building. there must be some security concerns because i had to wait for a while at the ground floor before somebody used a key to activate the elevator. the hallway to spa passion is very old and grimy. opening the door reveals two rows of massage tables which are separated by sheets. immediately upon entering, i removed my shoes, japanese style. the staff greeted me politely (btw they seem to all be japanese). then it was on to the massage. the lomi lomi massage was very relaxing and i almost fell asleep. i must note that my particular masseuses’ hands were quite coarse, possibly from massaging for many years? conversely this means she is an expert and can give a good massage. after the massage, i had a minor unpleasant surprise. i was told that i had also received a deep tissue massage, and that it would be an extra 15 dollars. i paid it, but i was a bit perplexed because i thought that i had only requested a lomi lomi massage. as for the the final bill, the base rate was $90 for 90 minutes. plus tax and tip it was $110. then i paid the $15 for the deep tissue portion for a total of $125. i talked to my wife afterward about her massage at aloha hands and she said she was happy with her massage. she paid $110 for 90 minutes. i was a bit jealous. after this experience, i would probably go back to refle hawaii next time, just because it is cleaner and more private. you have to get the online coupon there to get a comparable price though...
