The Adult only pool was nice and relaxing. The 2 hot tubs in the waiting area needed to be cleaned imo. The steam room was out of service which was a bit disappointing. I did the 50min couple massage and was one of the best massages I've had, it was cheaper than what I pay in Canada. Overall I would definitely recommend if your staying at the Hilton.

Great experience. I’m reviewing because after reading previous reviews I was beginning to reconsider if I wanted to get a massage here due to other subpar ratings. However, everything was super clean in the waiting rooms with the hot tubs , steam room and saunas. And the masseuse’ my wife and I had, Tony and Teri, were professional kind and qualified. We got the ‘experience with chocolate’ couples massage and it was very, very nice. They massage you then leave you in the room with each other, the chocolate scrub, a prepared bath, and tea for about an hour and a half then you let yourselves out at the designated expiration time.

Didn't have the greatest experience here. Last day of our holidays we were looking forward to a relaxing massage and facial. Therapists were very nice, massage was very soothing and relaxing. Unfortunately, when it was time for our facials there was a black out with all power gone. Instead of relaxing, it was darkness, sirens continuously blaring and announcements non stop. Our treatments weren't possible due to machines not working without power. When I tried to request some kind of discount for not receiving what we booked for, we were very politely but definitely told no, not their policy. They wanted full payment, no consideration that instead of a facial we got shock treatment. Very disappointed, not even offered a free bottle of water which i would have accepted as some kind of understanding. Obviously things have changed in Hawaii, or in the way this spa operates. Customer doesn't matter as long as you pay even if you didn't get what you booked for. Not impressed but it was a very expensive lesson learned.

$225 for a 80 minute massage. Plus %20 tip doesn't matter if you agree or not! Plus $25 extra for hot stones. For almost $300 I got an oil rub down!!! Supposed to be a deep tissue massage but the therapist just poured tons and tons of oil and rubbed it down! Huuuge disappointment! I would definitely go somewhere else. You cannot get a decent massage her!

This place is only good for the people who work there, not the actual services. My boyfriend bought a Groupon ($99 for $200 worth of services) and like any person would, I went online to scope out what I wanted to have done. I opted for a haircut, $75, A Shellac manicure $60, and a Classic Spa Pedicure $65. Not wanting to go over the amount of my Groupon I decided to stop there. When I arrived yesterday I thought that I would have access to a woman's locker room, pool, and other ty[ical spa services. I wasn't offered any of these. When the girl added up all of my services the total came to $139, to which I had to pay $45 out of pocket for the tax and their included 20% gratuity. After reviewing my receipt, I discovered in stead of charging the normal price they had cut the prices of all the services in half. I still had $70 to use, and if I had know this I would have. When I asked if I could use it the woman told me no because I had not scheduled an appointment for the service and on the fine print on the Groupon it state all services must be rendered at the time of use. SO... There went $$$$$ down the drain. The lady who did my manicure was very nice, but $60.. or $29 after they cut it in half didn't even include time for me to soak my hands or and lotion on my hands or arms. The shellac manicure is already chipping after 24 hrs. The woman who did my pedicure and haircut was also very nice. Over all the 2 women providing services were outstanding but the services themselves and the shadiness of the spa warrants only 1 star. Not worth your money.

Two stars because the people were very pleasant, everything else was one star. Indoor facility was dated and could’ve been cleaner. The massage was just an expensive oil application. No real massage at all. 20% service charge automatically added to the bill. I won’t return, look elsewhere for a better spa experience.

Just ok. Upstairs “waiting area” where the jacuzzi is needs some serious updates and a good cleaning. The locker room carpet is dingy and the whole space does not feel very luxurious or relaxing. The outdoor space is loud with traffic noise, the old magazines are outdated and crumpled up. The shutters in the outdoor space had broken pieces and the lounge chairs are very uncomfortable. Downstairs where you actually get your massage felt quite nice and was a lot more what I had in mind. My massage itself was pretty good, not sure it was worth the price when it was all said and done. There are many spas in the area..I would check them out first before booking here. Oh and I’m not sure where this fresh fruit is that other people spoke about in their reviews...all I got was a cup of water...

(Translated by Google) The facilities are fine but the massage is very poor. I found a lump in my neck and said, "I'm coming with you very much," he continued to blame the same part for over 30 minutes, and it became painful and it became painful rapidly. After the operation, the whole upper body became heavy. Of course, it took time to only that one place, so other places were lightly rubbing. It was the lowest massage I have ever received. High price is only for dividing it as atmosphere and facilities usage fee.

Well, it was mix thought about this place. The massage him self was great, professional and clean. But you starting there from the Spa that is in a different floor and I can tell you that its shame to a place like that to have. Small room with Jacuzzi, Sauna and showers. Feel and look wrong, old and not clean. If the second half of the day(massage) wasn't so good I'll give it 0 star. Doesn't worth the money.

I went to Mandara Friday October 14. This was my second visit this month... I decided to take my girl friend, but only this time, my experience wasn't so great. We both wanted massages. I knew from a previous experience that I do not like the lomi lomi massage so I specifically told the front desk that I wanted something else. My girlfriend wanted the lomi lomi massage. I ended up getting a deep tissue massage. While walking to the couple's suite for my massage, my masseus asked if I was having a lomi lomi massage I said no and I stated I was having a deep tissue massage. She said oh okay. There didn't seem to be a problem. In the beginning of my massage I was thinking "this must be a lomi lomi massage". When the therapist asked how is the pressure... I told her it was too light. She attempted to increase the pressure but i only had a deep pressure for 5 minutes in a 50 minute massage... After like 20 minutes interrupted my masseus... I asked her "excuse me is this a deep tissue massage" ... She didn't clarify no... She just said i am trying. I felt cheated. I would have rather them turn me away than to book me with someone who cannot render the correct service. It's expensive. I am not happy to pay $160 for someone to rub oil on me. I wanted an actual massage. Mandara definitely failed me this time. I will be hesitant to attend again. To add insult to injury... their special was misleading... I was thinking I could purchase a massage and my girlfriends massage and get $75 free spa product... However i guess i would have needed to have two massages myself in order to use the coupon. Disgusted with this place.

Went to this spa because I expected luxurious experiences due to its pricing. Very disappointed in many areas. In short, all the bad reviews are true! In my experience, let me break it down: The booking: Was easy, the person who answered the phone was able to get my 14 letters long last name right in the first time I spelled it out. The disappointment was she informed me on the phone that there was A COMPLIMENTARY parafin on either hands or feet on the package deals I bought. I chose to do feet. At the end, they charged me additional fees and mandatory tips on that complimentary service. The amenities: Yes, dated, but didn't bother me. The swimming pool though was overcrowded, full of kids, not a relaxing spa day for me. The body massage: I had Sara. Her technique was good. She informed me that she would use the Elamis product for the scrub. But anyone who had done body scrub and massage enough would know that she used something else that was more rough on my skin. And I did test their products while waiting to get escorted in the massage room, so I knew the differences. It supposed to last 50 minutes, but mine including massage, scrub and shower finish right at 50 minutes, everything was rushed. The overall experience was 6/10. The facial: I don't have any specific concerns on my face. Their equipment and products looked fancy, but it was not the best facial I've ever had. I had Nena. She was nice, but any professional aesthetician would know that there shouldn't be any product left when the service was done. I had a big piece on mask left on my face when she tried to show how radiant it turned out after the service. 5/10 The parafin: I felt asleep by the time she got to my feet, so couldn't judge much. Again there was something left on my feet after the wax was taken off. 7/10 The damage: $283.76 for an okay service of total 1 hour and 40 minutes. It's a big dissatisfaction for something that attached to Hilton brand. Not recommended.

I was told, after I already tipped, that there was an additional $20 service fee charged to my credit for the tip. They failed to inform me of this fee before my pedicure when they enter my credit card into their system. Also, they don’t have massage chairs; instead they have small upright chairs that are supposed to vibrate but are broken. Reply: ai did speak to the manager. She said she would send me a gift certificate in the mail but I never received it.

I got a ginger and lemon body scrub followed by a facial. From beginning to end the service was amazing! I definitely recommend this spa

Me and my Fiancé order for the couples package with chocolate tub, but the chocolate melting machine was supposedly broken so we only had a room with regular jacuzzi. The massage was ok, I wanted a male massage therapist and deep tissue massage for my fiancé but we both didn’t get what we ask for, we paid so much money for the package, but received super cheap service. We can hear people and therapist walking outside our room while getting massage so, it was hard to relax. Very poor service we don’t recommend!

My wife and I did a manicure and a pedicure with a nail specialist: Li. She was attentive, a conversationalist and really has a passion for her job. You can tell she takes extra time to really make sure the job is done right. We are happy with the results and service.

I came here twice during my recent visit to the Hilton. First I had the Men’s Spa escape where I had the massage followed by a facial. I then came back for a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. I thought the front desk people, especially Chris (a great customer facing employee), did the most to ensure I had a good experience. While everyone else I interacted with was nice and did their job, I thought Chris was most invested in ensuring I had a good experience. The massages were good. They will never be as good as my massage therapist at home who knows my neck and back in detail, but they were better than most hotel spa treatments I have had and they did focus on the areas I said were my problem areas. The facial was a new experience for me. I have no idea what all they were putting on my face, but it did feel good. I thought the facilities were sufficient. The rooms were modern looking, comfortable, neat and clean. The waiting area was comfortable. The locker rooms were ok. I did not use or inspect the other facilities like the whirlpool and showers. The main lobby was kind of crowded with it being a central location to get to the pool and exercise areas in addition to the spa, but fortunately you do not have to wait there long.

Very disappointed in my massage. The clerk that check me in showed me where the lockers were said that I could put my clothes in the locker and then he pointed to a back room said and " you can go back there and wait ". The waiting room had jacuzzis and saunas. The clerk didn't tell me I could enjoy the jacuzzis and sauna so I took the liberty to jump in the jacuzzi on my own. Had to tell the therapist what to do the majority of the time. Very expensive. And then they tack on a 30% gratuity. It's a shame because it has such nice ambience. I think people here need to have better training for a better experience.

I paid $400+ for a massage (which was an oil rub down) and mani/ pedi. Awful. Just utterly awful. Took double the time for the mani/pedi and it looks like a 5 year old did it.

The spa facility was ok. However, the steam room did smell moldy and the day after I used it, I developed a significant cough and sinus congestion. The Thai massage was ok as well. Nothing really spectacular, not a great value.

Not the best job on the nails, and the lady wasn't very sociable. Not terrible, but not worth the money.

My wife and I got a couples massage at 7:30pm. We enjoyed the 80min massage. Since the Spa was only open for 10min after our massages, the staff provided us with a day-pass for the next day! We were able to come back and enjoy a few hours of Spa amenities & caught up on some reading while sitting in the private balcony! Definitely recommend!

Teri was a wonderful masseuse and Beverly did a great job as well the facial. Going back to both! Love the high quality products as well. Best this is being able to use the spa facilities all day, with in and out privileges!!! Makes the money spent totally worth it.

Joi Klages

Horrible massage! He was more concerned with making sure my massage showed correctly in the computer system, instead of taking care of it afterward, and I missed out on 15 minutes. No apologies or discounts off, "paid parking" was also not paid, cost me $24. The hot was broken, facility old and rundown... not worth the money!

I had a horrible experience with Mandara Spa. First, I tried to book an appointment for the spa with the hotel concierge at Hilton Village. He told me that he would happily book me an appointment, however, there was a discount for “in person” bookings. When I went to the spa to book my appointment I was greeted by a woman who’s name tag delineated that she was a supervisor. I told her that the concierge told me to come in person to book an appointment and she replied, “ who told you that? That is not true!” She scheduled my appointment with lots of attitude and sass. No discount. I arrived for my appointment on Sunday at 10am. I was greeted by the front desk staff and was immediately asked for payment and 20% gratuity was included. I booked an 80 minute massage and with 20% gratuity my total was $270!!! I was on vacation and decided to splurge. However, I thought it was quite rude to ask for a gratuity before the services were provided. I was then escorted to the male locker room. There was no attendant on duty and the desk representative told me to wait and someone would be with me shortly. I waited in the locker room area for 10 minutes and then went back to the front desk. The front desk staff informed me they would contact someone. 20 minutes later, a gentleman gets off the elevator and the staff tells me he was getting fruit for the day. However, I arrived 1h early with the hopes that I could enjoy the jacuzzi. By the time I was checked in, escorted to the locker area, changed and showered, I had only 10-15 minutes before my massage. The mens locker room was an ABSOLUTE mess. For $270 I expected much more. For starters, upon issuing a locker, the staff hands you a small lanyard which smells of mildew! My hands smelled even after several hand washes and a massage. Second, the showers were coated in mildew (pictures available). There was also mildew on the doors and chairs. It almost appeared as if the spa had recently flooded. The ACTUAL massage was average. The masseuse was decent and he listened to all of my problem areas. However, the environment of this place was so gross. For $270 I would expect snacks, water, beverages, and better overall cleanliness. I would NOT recommend this spa. Save your money and go to the Royal Hawaiian.

I was so disappointed with this place. I scheduled a basic shampoo and blow dry. I was told in person that the cost was $40. If I wanted it flat-ironed then it would be an additional $35. Kind of steep, but I agreed. The stylist took the entire hour just to do that basic service. I never got it flat-ironed because of time. My regular gal does it and a flat-iron in 40 mins. Then they present me with a bill for $67. They charged me for the length of my hair - which is just barely touching my neck. Plus gratuity and taxes. Then they wanted me to add an additional tip. None of these costs were explained to me, and I booked my appointment in person. This should have been explained to me up front. I spoke to the manager and she did nothing the rectify the situation. I left the salon and went back to my hotel room to restyle and smooth it over myself. This salon isn’t worth it! Wanda B
