You have to go to Serenity. It is a quaint and quiet place to go and really relax. I went to a chiropractor to get a sciatic 'fix'. He popped my neck and I was in great pain. Don't let anyone mess with your neck. Anyway, because I was given a gift certificate to Serenity, I decided to use this place to help with my chiropractic injury. I saw Chrystal and she was more than wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about anatomy and she knew right where to touch those painful spots on my shoulders and arms. I can't saw enough great things about her. I have gone 4 times in the last 2 months and every time, it is wonderful and helpful to my cervical/arm issue. Tendons are slow healing and need help and time to get back to a functional place. I want to try the tearoom out, but haven't had a chance. Marie is great at the front and is always insightful. Thanks Donna for being here for my needs/pain issue. I will be back for sure.

This place is simply amazing the massage therapist are nothing but professional. Our massage therapist catered to every need of ours making sure we felt refreshed by the time we left. The owner herself took it upon herself to go above and beyond for us including giving us free hot tea and cupcakes to make us feel even more relaxed as we continued with our spa day. The personalities and vibes as you walk in guarantees you will have a great experience and you defiantly get what you pay for. This is a classy establishment and affordable for most. It is simply worth every penny. I will be going back without a doubt.

Mixed feelings about my experience. I got there 15 minutes early for my hour long massage, signed in and waited. The massage therapist was late, my appointment was for 11 and she came to get me about 5 minutes after. She brought me to the room and left, I undressed and waited 10 minutes. She came in at quarter after and started the massage. I assumed I would still get the full hour paid for but when she finished and I got up it was 11:55, meaning my hour massage had only lasted 40 minutes, 2/3 the time paid for. But she was gone and there I was, naked, with no robe or anything, meaning I would have to dress and find her to ask for the rest of my time so I didn't. I had to walk through their dining room after to leave, kind of awkward after your massage. The lady at the front told me that had been the boss who gave me my massage, which surprised me that she would have shorted me so much of my time. The massage was very nice other than being cut short, which is why I give 2 stars instead of 1, but I do not plan on returning and would not recommend going here.

My wife and I had our first bad experience at Serenity yesterday. We were supposed to get an hour-long massage but ended up only getting a 45-minute massage. The lady behind the desk claimed that my wife had scheduled an hour-long appointment for my birthday, but after my wife and I talked it through, it turns out this wasn't the case. My wife never even told the woman what we wanted to do beforehand, since it was a surprise to begin with. She just simply told her that we'd be there at 10:00 for our appointment. We ended up getting there late by about 15 minutes but we called prior to let them know that we were behind. Somehow this docked us 15 minutes on a service that we didn't even establish beforehand. I am upset by this because we were clearly cheated out of our money because we were charged for a service we didn't receive. The second thing that irks me is the absolute lie we were told from the same woman behind the counter in regards to a gift certificate we purchased. We explained to her that we purchased a gift card and asked if the card was kept in a system and available for her to see if it was spent. She told us that she could see and confirm if it was spent or not. We then explained how we purchased a card for my father and his wife but they decided not to use it and lost the card. Rather than tell us that we could still use the gift certificate, that she could confirm wasn't used, she told us that we could not use the gift certificate. She said that she needed the gift card for tax purposes and that there was no way for us to use it. However, this is untrue since taxes are accounted for with receipts, which we had. For these above reasons, I'm giving them a 1 star and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They are flat out stealing people's money and they should be closed down. I am ashamed that I have been recommending this unethical business for five years and will never visit this place again.

This is a really fun place to go for a light lunch with friends. The tea party lunch is fun and creative. It's not great for very young kids because everything is extremely breakable and glass is everywhere, but it is a really special place to take a little girl for a special occasion. The menu changes frequently so there is always something new to order. The sweet older lady that works at the front is always friendly and welcoming. The ambience is so calming and Serene. The tea selection is pages and pages long, and The desserts are an absolute must!

Awesome little tea room and day spa. Definitely my favorite nook on the Gainesville square. Charming, relaxing atmosphere... I stop by every time I have a stressful day at work. They seriously have hundreds of teas to choose from. My food is always excellent. Try the roast beef wrap! And their tomato bisque and coconut creme pie are my absolute favorites. The staff is easygoing and helpful and Marie always greets me with a smile. Donna, the owner, is the sweetest and always remembers me and strikes up a conversation! I love the sweet little touches like the owl placemats. Just too cute. I've gotten a few massages from here, too, and they were always great. Can't say enough about this place!!

We go for lunch a couple times a month. The tomato soup is very good. A great selection of teas. Nice atmosphere.
