I needed a pedicure and this is the only nail salon in town that i saw online.. So i went in and ask for a pedicure, the place has a really nice ambience so despite the price $37 which i think is really high, i did it anyway because again i think the place is nice and I thought they'll be offering a pretty awesome service for the price, and i was wrong. First they don't even have the foot bath that usually make the experience 'spa-like'.. And then jessica lady that did my pedicure looks like she's never held another persons feet before, she did not put any pressure while using the nail pusher and nipper, i didnt even see a cuticle that got removed on my toe nails.. And when i asked her if she can take the ingrown on the side she said she dont normally do that, so basically all she can do is cut the nails.. I swear I could've done a better job than her. Im so disappointed. The only reason that im giving them 2stars is because of the ambience and the warm neck pillow that they offer while you getting your nails done. But the service itself deserves no star actually, im sorry but that's the truth.

Very disappointing!!! Would definitely NOT recommend this place. Just brought a 4 person bridal party (booked for over a month) in. All parties were supposed to have been done at the same time. What a joke! Arrived several minutes early & still had to wait on them to get us started. Finally, started with 2 members then about 10 minutes later the 3rd person. Fourth person waited for 40 minutes before treatment was started. Was overcharged also for 1 person’s treatment. “Dry pedicure” was a waste & barely anything at all. We were there for 2-1/2 hours for just 4 people. They had to stop & talk to other clients/customers.

I've been going to Jolie about every two weeks for the past 8 or 9 months now and have always had the most wonderful experiences! I get the shellac manicure regularly and for the first time in my life, have nails that grow and rarely break. The girls are all wonderful and sweet and always do a great job. I recommend them everywhere I go!

My husband surprised me with a prenatal massage. I was so excited and had never been here before. When I walked in I was completely ignored by a young blonde receptionist and had to point out I had an appointment. It was very odd? I then saw a woman walk in after me and she was promptly asked if she had been there before, friendly greeted and offered lemon water. Why was I treated like dirt? My husband spent big bucks for my massage and they would have had a repeat customer!! Maybe because I was dressed down in yoga pants? Look young? I'm not sure but VERY unprofessional!! My massage however was wonderful and that girl who did my massage was super kind and friendly. Then came check out, rude all over again. A older blonde woman was at the computer when I approached to check out. I had my gift certificate and tip ready and she just ignored me!!! I was appalled and stood there easily 5 minutes while she worked on the computer. FINALLY the young blonde girl interjected and got me checked out. Seriously disappointed in the staff here. So rude!!! Of course minus the sweet girl that did the massage, for that I gave them 3 stars. They need new receptionists with manners and I will likely not recommend this place. I will skip this place for future services.

The service was okay, however I got a Brazilian wax from this spa and they did a TERRIBLE job. Left tons of wax and hair in areas that it should have been removed and it is a pricey place to go but they did not to a good job at all.

My wife and daughter love the services and ambience at Jolie, and I like the array of goods and services that I can purchase for them as gifts. Plus, the place always smells delicious!

The lady who did the massage for me and my husband was amazing. She was also very friendly and checked on us to make sure we were good when she was through with her services. I would definently go back to her! But the lady who did my pedicure was not friendly, looked like she would rayher be doing anything else but that and was super rough and the painting of my toes was horrible. The paint I had coming in although not great was better than what I left with. Wouldn't recommend a pedi here.

First place I’ve gotten my nails done while in Dahlonega, and for being a day spa I’m not very impressed. I’ve been getting a full set with gel or SNS for the last few years now when I get my nails done, and I must say for having sat there as long as I did, over two hours for a pedicure and manicure, I am not the most impressed with my nails. I mentioned something about one being cracked while still being worked on and was told not to worry about it only for not even two full days later to find, that exact nail had come off and the glue wasn’t even bonded on my real nail all the well for me to have not even felt it come off. For as much as I paid, and my nails to look like they do and already be breaking off is really truly disappointing. Edit: After speaking with Nicole last week, I went back in today to get my nails redone and Nicole did an amazing job. I typically get SNS with tips, they last longer that way for me, but we ran into an issue that was completely out of both of our hands when it came to what happened. Nicole reverted to gel and did fabulous, even if she did say that it wasn't her best work. Can't wait to see what her best work does look like! Very happy with the way this was all resolved.

All the girls are a delight to be around and they are very professional but always treat me like I'm family. Cute little spa in downtown Dahlonega. My friend and I went for my birthday. We both got massages & facials. The facials were absolutely amazing!! But the massages were pretty disappointing. My friend loves deep tissue massages so that is what she booked.... that is not what she got though. She said she felt like she got an expensive lotioning but she tried to relax & enjoy it anyway. When we went to pay, we explained this.... not once did they even apologize. Which was really disappointing.

The staff here are amazing! They were willing to come to the house when Nanny wasn’t able to leave the house due to hospice. Nicole was awesome with my Nanny Georgia Mae! She made her last weeks/days special. Her “spa” day was something she looked forward to every week. The family will never forget all she did for her ❤️ I highly recommend their services

Scheduled an appointment a week in advance with a female massage therapist. I got there on time and was told I had a male massage therapist to perform the massage. I have been going to Jolie Day Spa since 2013. Claire (former massage therapist) was such a warm and loving person and Heather was so genuine (I don't know if she's still there?). Where did they go? I gave this review 2 stars because I do believe Jolie Day Spa is a fantastic business, however I will not be going back. The atmosphere feels stiff and I felt like nothing was resolved or that my time mattered. The woman I spoke to at the counter I believe was the owner. She did try to resolve the issue, but it was impossible to reschedule. I ended up walking out feeling frustrated and my entire day wasted (since I scheduled my day around this event). The last time I had a Friday off was New Year's. I'm sure the massage therapists are wonderful, but the receptionist staff need to get their stuff together. Thankfully I was able to schedule an appointment somewhere else. Hopefully they can fill the standards I believed were once at Jolie Day Spa.

I never ever complain... but I feel that it's necessary to let others know before investing time and money with this business. I had professional bridesmaid make-up done several weeks ago. I was very indecisive whether I wanted to get makeup done in the first place because I have rosacea and am extremely picky about my make up. I decided not to get makeup done and was told that I would still have to pay 50% of the price because I was already scheduled to have it done. I was told that they do this because they have already scheduled a certain amount of makeup artists to the wedding and this was to ensure their pay (mind you that there were 8 other women getting makeup so I don't really see them losing out on much money here.) So I decided to just get the makeup done because I wasn't about to pay any money to this business without having any services. I was scheduled for air brush makeup but was told that my skin wouldn't look good with air brush because I also have oily skin. Although I appreciated the honesty, I was extremely dissappointed already with the way this business is ran. The ladies also almost forgot to do my makeup because I was the last client to get it done, which made me feel like they were ready to leave. They started cleaning up before I ever got my makeup done. Once I was getting my makeup done, I told them I wanted a lot of foundation and very dramatic. I didn't even get any foundation, all I got was a cc cream. You could see my redness/rosacea through the cream. My makeup application only took about 5-10 minutes of their time. I made the mistake of telling the makeup artist that I liked the makeup. When in reality, as soon as the artists left I re-did my entire face. When my card was charged for the services I was charged the amount for airbrush makeup, so I had to call to have them fix that. So at this point not only was I extremely unhappy with the service but I was also charged more money. Not good for a business. Also we were charged 20% tip without being told, which I never have a problem with tipping really well but this was not worth a 20% tip. Long story short, I was charged $80 for makeup that I re did my self anyway, so it was completely pointless and a lot of the other bridesmaids were unhappy with their makeup/fake eyelashes as well, so don't waste your money like I did. I do however recommend this company for any bride because the bride looked absolutely beautiful and her makeup was perfect.

I love going to Jolie Day Spa as I always feel "special" there. The various services offered and the ease of scheduling as well as the talented, experienced, pleasant, attractive staff make my day. It is so relaxing, and the setting there at the Square is good. I always feel good when I leave. It's so good that I have to treat myself by walking up to the Picnic Café, ordering a cookie or scone, and sitting on a bench to people watch at the Square afterwards. Nice!

I got a great hair cut from Anna Claire that was exactly what I wanted. I asked for a gentleman's cut and she knew exactly what I wanted. Jolie is really nice inside and homey. And yes, they do cut guy's hair! ;-)

I had my hair and make up done for my wedding with Jolie, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. They did a fantastic job with me, my bridesmaids, and the moms. When I went in for my consultation and trial, I was having a really emotionally difficult day, and they were very kind and accommodating, and seemed genuinely concerned. After my trial, I had a few concerns (I have thick, heavy hair, so a little while after I left the salon, a few pieces of my updo fell loose, which I completely expected, and I wanted to change a few things about my makeup) and when I brought them up on the day of the wedding, they were more than happy to address them, and the issues were completely resolved. My hair looked amazing and nothing fell loose all night, and I loved my make up! I would definitely use their services in the future!

I would not have looked beautiful on my wedding day (Dec 17, 2016) had it not been for Jolie Day Spa. A special shoutout to Nicole, the owner, and Jessica, my day-of (and trial) makeup and hair artist is very much necessary. My hair was absolutely gorgeous (Elsa-like) and the makeup was perfect for me because I don't ever wear it. Not only was the hair and make up for me great, my bridesmaids, flower girls, and my mom and mother in law looked absolutely stunning. The day of was super special because the spa worked only with the bridal party and catered an amazing breakfast which was too relish not to eat even though I was nervous for the ceremony! Jessica did a great job keeping me calm. Nicole is an amazing human being. She was so organized, genuine, and gracious. She kept me feeling excited and relieved for the big day and kept in contact with me the whole time. As a gift I had my girls do a mani/pedi day with me and Nicole did my toes and nails herself, which turned out fantastic. She was also very kind, hospitable, and I felt like she really went out of her way to make sure that everyone felt special and that I stayed excited and happy! She even went out and got umbrellas for us and a shiny barrette for my mom without us asking. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

I am fairly new to the area & called Jolie Day Spa to schedule a color and cut appointment. I was quoted $90 on the phone for these services. When I got to the salon and met with the stylist and discussed what I wanted, she did tell me it would be a slightly more than what I was quoted. When my appointment was over and I went to the reception to pay, I was astonished when she said it was $195.00. When I inquired as to why it was so much, she told me that it was $115 for the color treatment, $25 for "extra color", $25 dollars for a toner and $30 for the haircut. It was never explained to me by my stylist that I was being charged additionally for the extra bit of color she mixed up and the toner she represented as part of the normal color service. This is ridiculously expensive! I have gone to my previous salon in Gwinnett for 10 years before moving to Dahlonega and I've never left there paying more than $100 for exceptional service for color, cut and have never been charged extra for more color or a toner. While, I am pleased (not overly pleased) with the outcome of my color, I think I'll continue to drive an hour to Gwinnett before spending that kind of money again at Jolie Day Spa. 1/5/14-- Update to my previous post: The owner (Nicole Wimpy) saw my Google review, she did contact me and offered me a $50 credit since I was charged incorrectly. This was a very nice gesture as some business owners wouldn't have taken the time to do that.

Great staff who are professional! This is a great place for couples to get pampered, wedding parties, girls day out, or a place to escape. They offer all hair and nail treatments (except perms - Ew!), waxing, massage, and they even have a specialist on staff that does skin treatments! If you're visiting Dahlonega, Jolie is a must!

My experience was very disappointing and frustrating. I brought a 4 person bridal party here in February 2019 to get our nails done the day before the wedding. We came in at 9am when they opened and did not get to leave until 12:30pm - yes, it took them 3 1/2 hours to do nails for 4 of us... and two girls were only getting manicures. I had several calls with the owner weeks in advance who requested wanting to know exactly what everyone wanted - but when we got there the technicians had no idea of any of the services. They only had two nail technicians, who even told us they actually normally just do hair and make up, so two of our girls sat for two hours getting nothing done (not the fun bonding experience you want to give your girls). I requested gel on my toes and they refused saying they used this new gel that doesn’t do UV light and dries in 8 minutes. It was drying for two hours since we were there so long and they said I could wear my shoes like normal and it wouldn’t mess up... I checked when I got back to the hotel and just as I thought - they were totally ruined, as were everyone else’s. Halfway though the appointment, I went to the owner and told her we my bridal shower to attend and we had been there two hours with almost nothing done... she freaked out and jumped in to help (awesome!) but then she turn to me (the bride) and said she would have to skip my manicure and just a polish change. I almost cried... this was for my wedding! I’m the bride! I stood up for myself and said, “No, we paid for good service here and a good experience. We need to be provided everything that was promised.” Needless to say, it was a bad kickoff to a weekend that was supposed be me treating my bridesmaids... instead we will remember this as a low of the weekend. I gave this a 2 because the salon was nice... just not the service.
