I received a chemical peel and skin tightening and I must say I loooove the results. My skin is brighter and more smooth! The skin tightening was relaxing and made me forget I was getting an actual procedure. I was able to listen to music while I lost inches off my waistline. Talk about a Win Win!

Dr. Shapira and staff should be rated above 5 stars! Have had 3 water assisted liposuctions and the results are phenomenal, both aesthetically and pain reduction for lipedema. I have never had a more caring and professional doctor. I travel from Virginia 4 hours for treatment and would not go anywhere else!

The office is comfortable, the rooms are cozy, and the staff is amazing. The knowledge is there and shared with you. You will be surprised with the amount of time they spend with you. Their consultations and visits are for your personal best with the least amount required. My experience felt natural and I trust their advise. I am currently trying the IPL, which saw a change after one and will be trying microneedling. (Jennifer is awesome!) "Less is truly more", and possible, when you have the best working for you. It has been 6 weeks since I completed a skin care package and can say my results are amazing. Definitely turned back the clock and I barely wear makeup. I did a combination of IPL, microneedling, and hair removal. I have stuck to the basics with cleansing and have found my skin to be better and has retained the glow. I am looking forward to continue on a maintenance plan shortly. In addition I plan to return for all my future consults and needs. Jennifer, THANK YOU. I cannot recommend enough the staff at First State Vein & Laser.

Avoid this place like the PLAGUE! I have been getting laser hair removal here for more than TWO YEARS under my arms and it still literally looks exactly the same. They have gone through three technicians (one of which was googling how to use the machine while I was laying on the table) and all of them swear that "this round" will be different. They admitted that they were not properly trained to use the machine and that they told me to come back at all the wrong intervals and we would start over. Lynn refuses to give me my money back because there is no "guarantee". I have gone in when they were being investigated for burning another client. They have no idea what they are doing. I bought more services because I thought for some reason it was my fault it wasn't working (I bought facials and they threw in more underarm sessions). The girl used a scalpel (dermaplaning or something?) on my face and cut me- I had scabs on my chin for days. I think I felt bad for the technicians because they were sweet but they really had no idea what was going on or how to use any of the equipment. Later I spoke with my dermatologist and she had to giggle that I went through this and explained that laser hair removal is different than electrolysis and its not something you can have done in a place like this. I put off writing a review and giving up because like I said, the receptionist and techs were trying but they. I officially give up.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Brandi performed my Botox procedure, I could not be more impressed with the entire process. Brandi devoted more than ample time to conduct a thorough consultation and pre-evaluation that she specifically designed to address my individual concerns. As a newcomer to the Botox procedure I truly appreciate Brandi's warm bedside manner and cannot recommend her enough to others.

Dr. Shapira is so knowledgeable! I told him I get really bad migraines and he looked at me and realized I grind my teeth really bad and that could be giving me migraines. He injected botox into the muscle and I have been mostly headache free since!! I also received the SmartLipo treatment. It was amazing! I have lost 3.5 inches around my waist/ love handle area, and I love the way my clothes fit me now! And Liz is amazing with skincare. Her facials are the best thing ever! I love this place and will definitely be back for more!

Their laser hair removal SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. I am the perfect candidate- light skin, dark hair. Two years...literally over two years I have been going to these people. Such a waste of gas and time. Oh, and they would not give me money back...I don't even have the energy to argue with Lynne over it. Be mindful...there is no guarantee and they told me "not even tattoos are permanent" what?! yes they are...lol. Im not saying I have just a little bit of hair left...its ALL still there. One girl was googling how to use the machine while I was on the table....YIKES

I am a lipedema patient which recently underwent a WALS procedure. The staff at the First State Vein and Laser Med-spa are among the great group of medical professionals I have ever worked with. Especially a member of the team that really works behind the scene, Stephanie. She is an absolute angel. Being a patient herself gives her great insight into the stressors and concerns of such a large surgery. Her compassion, warm personality and commitment to Dr. Shapira patients can be felt in every interaction had with her. She is on-call via text, phone, and email to accomplish her mission to support each and every lipedema patient she can. I can not say enough about her. I am African American and I know my skin needs are different so sometimes I'm scared to try new things. Donna gave me great deal of info that educated me on how to tweak/create a routine works best for me and not some random instructions on the back of some random cleanser. When shopping around for a trust worthy and respectable place, study experience and history. Facts. Brandi has been Injecting less then a year. She’s also not a dr. Dr. Shapira has been a doctor for many years but not this kind of “Dr”. It’s a shame why and how “patients” write reviews these days. Without a bribe and or being uncomfortably asked to write a review, I’m telling you what you want to know when reading a review.

Wow this Spa is Amazing. I have been a client at first state vein and laser for almost two years and I have not been anywhere else. Like anyone else I love the sun. Tanning, etc, however now that I'm 26 years old I have sun spots and acne scars. I never even wanted to leave the house without putting makeup on. I was terrified because I was getting ready to compete 4 months away for the Miss Earth Title. My aunt who also is a client, suggested the spa, to try and see if there is anything they could do for me. YESSS. They had an LHE Machine, also known as a photo facial. It was a laser machine that literally vanished my scares, and my skin tone looks perfect. I now where no makeup and only sunscreen. Thank you first state vein and laser. RUDE & unprofessional receptionist. I called to book a body contour exam and Botox & I was referred from my friends to see the esthetician Jenifer who has very impressive reviews plus my friends all have beautiful & glowing skin ! I was informed that Jennifer moved on and when I wasn’t sold on the new “skin care specialist “ this receptionist grew a tasteless and unprofessional style. I’m appalled & I decided to take my business elsewhere. Lynn has a reputation and her staff answering the phone matches it.
