Had always appreciated the service until yesterday. My appointment was moved from it's scheduled time of 5pm without my knowledge or confirmation, to a slot of 6pm, ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT. Then, three hours later, I was left a message that the appointment was cancelled altogether. As I didn't receive these messages in time, I still arrived at the appointment at 5pm. I was told that "6pm might open up due to a patient that did not confirm" and encouraged to stay. I was then told at 5:45 the patient had confirmed. Having now sat there for nearly an hour, I asked to reschedule the appointment in the same time slot, and was told I would be unable to for seven weeks. This felt unacceptable, and when I shared that it was, the staff member assured me they would look into things and call me the next day. I have not been called, and when I called the office to resolve the situation, no better opportunity was provided, except signing up for a website on which I could manually look for cancellations myself. When I asked why the office couldn't call me in the case of a cancellation, I was told I would have to do it myself through the website. This is unacceptable, and even worse, seems to be in line with other recent reviews. Barring quick and fair resolution, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

My best advice is to go somewhere else! These people are terrible!!! They don’t rinse your mouth out with anything, just leave you with a mouth full! They will ban you for life if you miss one appointment!! It’s nothing but rude ass foreigners that work there also! Just go to the next dentist, I promise you will regret going to this place. The stars don’t like they barly have 4 stars!!

staff professional, freindly. Office is very orderly. I have been a patient for 15 years. recently I lost my insurance due to medical issues. I broke a tooth, came into have it checked. Dr.Nguyen fixed it with a filling even though it needs a crown, just not in the budget. She also helped me out with a cleaning. she and her staff do care about thier patients. I am so greatful for the kindness. I recommend this practice highly.

When I first came to Christiana Dental Spa I had had the same dentist for over 15 years and had traveled over 75 miles one way for my visits every 6 months. So one could imagine that my expectations would be very high to say the least. My initial visit was excellent at Christiana Dental Spa! I was made to feel comfortable by Dr. Linda's staff: Dr. Yang, Kevin/Jasmine (admin) and Josslin (hygienist). Dr. Linda welcomed me to her office, Dr. Yang did a wonderful job on restoring and replacing my crowns, Josslin made my teeth feel and look brand new and Kevin and Jasmine was there to answer any and all questions I had regarding my appointment (s) and billing. My appointment are always timely and the staff always professional. When I told Dr. Linda I was having some difficulty with my insurance company she dealt with the situation immediately. Now that's service. Their team is AWESOME!

I’ve never had such wonderful treatment. The Dr even met me during off business hours to put in an emergency temporary filling on a Saturday till my appointment on the following Monday to have a very needed root canal. They really do love their patients!

Dentists are good, but the back office staff are horrible. When you call the phone number (during business hours) no one picks up and the auto attendant tells you to leave a message in the general mailbox. Don't bother, no one responds. I've provided my insurance info multiple times but they still have my old info on record. Now I'm getting threats of turning my account over to collections. They are great, until they aren't. Don't take on the hassle, go somewhere else.

This is the best dentist office I have ever visited. Dr Young has an awesome "chairside" manner, and did a great job restoring my smile. Dr. Yang performed oral surgery on me with speed and efficiency, and put up with me being a big baby. I will be returning to Dr Young for my next procedures. I showed up the first time apprehensive, because I had been to so many crappy dentists in the past. I wish I had come here first. The assistants and staff are excellent too. They take all the fear and unpleasantness out of the experience, and are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

I had a horrible experience today at this place!The implant abutment screw that Dr Yang installed several months ago fell out of my mouth while I was driving.My insurance covered 80% of the cost but my out of pocket cost was close to $500. When I told Dr Yang and his assistant that the screw fell out two days ago,he literally accused me of lying and said it must have fallen off 7 days ago.I hate that condenscending attitude when I know am telling the truth but you keep making me look like I don’t know what am saying. There was no taking responsibility for why my screw fell out and he pretty much blamed me for taking long to come get the tooth fixed, yet he’s the one who told me to wait till this time of the year. I really hated being there and I hope I can find another dentist soon because this is just too disappointing. After reading the other patients’ comments,I agree that this dental office’s standards have really deteriorated. #ampissedoff

I'd also like to commend your hygienist Tatiana (i hope that i've spelt her name correctly). She was very professional , informed me of every task she was doing . BEWARE - there are a lot of low reviews here and you SHOULD trust them. This place is a scam with poor patient etiquette! My wife went there yesterday for her normal cleaning and x-rays. The x-rays and exams were taken and after about an hour no cleaning was performed. She received a laundry list of everything that was wrong with her mouth and a very unprofessional bashing of our former family dentist. No adequate explanations were given, the procedures, costs and necessities were not written down or clearly communicated. Felt like this place is like going to a car dealership where they recommend all the things that you could need, but probably don't and if you just go to your local, reliable and skilled mechanic, you can get your car serviced for its necessities. They have to pay for the nuance and fancy gadgets in this place somehow. The whole experience was confusing, unprofessional and uncomfortable. We are completely dissatisfied with the service and the time wasted and have already sought out a second opinion. Shame on this place - going to the dentist can be scary enough for some people. Not explaining the necessities, cost, or doing the work that was supposed to be done is ridiculous. Should have read these reviews more carefully before bringing my family here.

Dr. Linda is very patient and takes pride in her work. At first I always smiled with my hand over my mouth, I was ashamed to allow anyone to see my teeth. Not any more, once Dr. Linda completed my bridge I am so happy with my smile that I can't stop smiling and the best part is I don't have to cover my mouth any more. The greatest dentist I have been in my whole life. Everyone was amazing. My original review was for the dentist and his assistant amazing individuals. My search is over...my move to DE left me searching for a Good dentist...here I found great, superior, excellence on several fronts...I found Dr Linda's level of expertise, training and choice of practitioners to be A+. Her affiliation and network of experts were impressive as I needed major early done. After having a Terrible experience in a Dover practice I was referred by my husband to try this place out. I have a terrible fear of the dentist but this place made me feel so relaxed... Everyone was so nice! And the assistant I had was wonderful explained everything step by step and was so sweet! The hygienist and Doctor were both very thorough and I didn't feel rushed by anyone there! I have to go back a few more times for some work and for the first time in my life I'm not dreading it ! I'm so happy I came to Christiana dental spa! Update: just had my second appt yesterday and go back again today. Yesterday was amazing my hygienist is the best I've ever had in my life!!! She makes sure your ok and comfortable the entire time and was beyond sweet!!! Going to request her everytime! All in all I'm so glad I came to Christiana Dental Spa and would suggest it to all of my friends and family!

What a wonderful place of business.... if you are looking for a GREAT place to get any kind of work done whether it's a general cleaning to some of the major procedures here is your stop!!! Stop looking because this place is just too great to look elsewhere!!! The staff is welcoming from the front desk when you arrive until the last person which is check out!!! Everyone has such a beautiful smile and makes you feel welcomed and they also appreciate your business!!! The assistants there are very well educated and explain in detail what's going on before,during and after!!! They stick right by your side and reassure you that everything is going to fine!!! Just terrible! Disorganized & rude. I shouldn't have to reschedule my future appointments for what days are best for the tech. I actually sat for an hour waiting once because "I didn't know you were here, no one said I had a patient waiting". And, Dr. Yang is the worst!! He's ALWAYS behind schedule; which causes him to rush through whichever treatment he's giving, and ultimately injure you. I'm done with this office!!!

As an adult, I have been sincerely afraid of going to the dentist. Not sure where the fear came from because growing up my parents sent me on a regular braces, I've worn braces, etc. My adult experiences have been uncomfortable, painful and centered around advising me of services that I knew I did not need. I put off going to the dentist until I found out about Christiana Dental Spa. From the very first time I entered their office I was sold. The setting, staff...everything was pleasant and relaxing. No anxieties on my part! I appreciate everything they do to make me forget I am in an actual dentist office! Best care I've ever had.

Do not even try to to go there if you are looking for real dental care. Herbals, music are fine, but details are lost and sometimes dishonest, as it turn out to be a business trap. i had my scheduled procedure cancelled as they did not pay attention to have my bone graft after 2 weeks of scheduling. I think they are not a trust place for serious dental issues

I thought they were great. Until the triage dental program switched providers and they refused to renew the contract to be in-network in between scheduled appointments. And at my next appointment proceeded to not inform me I was no longer covered, while using an enamel strengthening gel that I was told was fully covered. When I got the bill I called multiple times and left voicemails with no response. I forgot about it when school started up and three months later I got a call from the billing department telling me they were sending my bill to collections. It was a very sad way of handling it.

I had an appointment for a filling for my chipped front tooth. At first I was nervous, but once they started working on my tooth, I could tell I had nothing to worry about. The process was very quick and painless, and in no time I had a smile that I could proudly wear again. The dental staff was very friendly, and informed me of everything as it was happening. I would definitely recommend the Dental Spa to anyone who hasn't had much luck anywhere else.

First, Iet me say that I have had more than 4 appointments and various treatments at the Dental Spa. On every occasion, scheduling was a nightmare. They would have me schedule separate appointments for fillings. Absolutely asinine! Do they not realize that people take off from work and have to pay gas to run up and down the highways!? Then, they always use scare tactics to get you to get unnecessary procedures once they find out that those treatments/procedures will be covered by your insurance. It took me two years (YES, 2 years) most recently, July 21, 2015 to get a cleaning and a cavity filled on the same day. Even then, my appointments for the two procedures were scheduled for 11am and 12pm. I arrived at exactly 10:21 am because I thought there would be paperwork to update. Was called at 11;15. Okay, not so bad-things happen. But once in the back, I had to wait for the hygenist another 10 minutes. I can deal with that-again, things happen. Now, the last time I was there was two years ago. The hygenist suggested I get full xrays, just like the last visit. She cooerced me into getting a deep cleaning after supposedly doing a routine cleaning which didn't even take the tartar off my teeth and lasted a total of 5 minutes. I said there was no need to do an extra set of xrays-they had been done by my orthodontist and they were sent over to Dental Spa. I was told they didn't have them. You know, those xrays cost alot and they make out like bandits because THEY KNOW THE INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL COVER IT. Anyway, the point is, when I refused, a Dr. Yang or Young, (Asian male) came in and loudly chastised me about needing them and stated that they couldn't do anything without them. The hygenist then came back and took the photos. Once she was in progress, my abuser came in and patted my shoulder and said I made a good decision. My skin crawled. Then the hygenist proceeded to "deep clean" the right upper and lower sides of my mouth. When she began cleaning up early, (because I knew she hadn;t done my entire mouth) I asked what was wrong?-why was she not finishing", she said, "There is not enough time. We will have to reschedule the left side for another time". I was livid!! They gave me an appointment for August 6th. The hygenists' name was Marisol Then, they tried to get me to schedule my filling for another day and I said NO! My appointment today was for a filling and a cleaning! and not a deep cleaning! So my friend, Dr. Yang, returns. But first, before he proceeds, he looks at my x-rays, flashing them on the screen before me, and proceeds with scare tactics as to all the procedures I will need that costs over $500 f-for example, crowns, root canals and the like. Everyone that came into my treatment area said, honest to God, "You have such good insurance!" I was furious. Laid there and listened and watched as Dr. Yang supposedly filled my cavity. Felt drilling. Smelled no filling, tasted no filling and saw no filling. I am having my mouth checked out by another oral professional.. I swear no cavity was filled-would bet my life on it. I asked for printouts of all the procedures that were suggested and got my bill and left. Upon closer inspection of the bill when I got home, I realized that Dental Spa had billed my insurance for a whole mouth deep cleaning and a fill. I followed with a call to my employer and my insurance company. I have had problems with this facility since my first visit. Different doctors every time you go. Forced procedures, scare tactics, scheduling woes-very unprofessional office. Infuriated each visit. Facilities like this is what are driving our insurance coverage through our employers up! For the first time, I had to pay out of pocket to cover that "pretend" filling. And by the way-remember I said I arrived at exactly 10:21 am? Well, I walked out of the Dental Spa at exactly 2:11! Unbelieveable, right!???? PLEASE BEWARE!

Well I've been with the practice for about 3 or 4 years and I did recommend to colleagues. Told them how there's a state of the art massage chair you sit in and listen to the beautiful doosooth water fall soumd that take your mind off the ordeal you about to encounte but this year I have had some disappointments. First, the massage chair does not operate anymore. It just sit there for decoration. When you ask, they are like, " I don't know". 2nd, my insurance info. was not updated even when given and told them but after some inquiries they finally updated it. Got a call 2 weeks prior to my next visit that it has to be changed. Because I leave work at 4:30pm, it was scheduled for a 6pm. On day of appointment got a text that appointment was @ 6:10pm. Got there at 6:03pm and was not seen until 6:41pm. Before that I was given wrong bill and I reminded them of the update to the insurance again they had to go through the same process to get the information right. I asked why couldn't they keep the updated information to avoid doing this every time? She said it was a mistake. For my cleaning, I feel that it was rushed. Normally, they'll take their time and they were pracpractic out of everything like carry-on mouthwash and floss. It seems like I was the last person of the day I had to take the fall. I do still like them and will continue to go to them and will still recommend them because honestly speaking, they are good dentists and hygienists and the staff can be professional when they choose to be. I will give them the benefit of the doubt until I see otherwise.

After reading all of these great reviews online, I thought this place would be perfect for a new dentist since moving to DE. Boy, I couldn't be more wrong. First, I had to reschedule my first appointment so when I made my second one I was "threatened" with a fine if I was going to cancel again. I called at least 24 hours in advance, I wasn't a no show or anything. Things happen and I respectfully re-scheduled my appointment. When I did finally go to my appointment, I arrived early to fill out the paperwork. Mixed in with my bundle of paperwork was ANOTHER patient's information. Total HIPPA violation, had the patient's name, DOB, social and everything else you would want to know. I kindly handed this back to the woman and said that it didn't belong, she replied with an attitude, "oh, maybe you picked it up by accident". Sure, blame the customer that's a great idea! When I was brought back, after my appointment time I might add, I was quickly made aware that I wasn't even going to get my teeth cleaned while I was there. When I seemed shocked, the young girl stated "Oh, they didn't tell you that over the phone?... ugh they can't do anything right". After they completed my exam, they proceeded to tell me that I needed extensive cleaning every 3 months which would cost up to 200-250 a cleaning and a cavity filled. When I asked how this is possible, they stated "it's just what you need... your teeth aren't cared for". From the moment I walked in, I was disrespected and treated so rudely by the staff even the doctor. I told him there was a problem tooth and to be gentle/avoid it, he stated "I need to look at it" and went right after it putting me in pain. After my "exam", I was sent over for scheduling. Before it was completely explained (price, etc), I was being scheduled for something I didn't approve of. The deep cleaning was further explained to me and I didn't have a good feeling about it. I felt I didn't need this, considering I have had my teeth cleaned and seen a dentist every 6 months for as long as I can remember. I was then told my the receptionist that "We can't offer you a lesser cleaning... you need to get the deep cleaning it's what is recommended". When I politely refused this treatment, I was then given another option (which still wasn't the 6 month cleaning). When I asked about the basic cleaning, another provider was called over to "discuss things with me". I politely said I have the right to refuse any treatment and I need do think this all over. I then received the "eye roll" when I said this and told I would call back with my decision. After I left, I felt the need for a second opinion. My gut was right, I didn't need anything they were telling me I needed! Total scam and just wanting my money. Please, if something doesn't seem right get a second opinion. When I went to another dentist in the area, I was told this was the 5th bad review they have heard about Christiana Dental Spa. I would use extreme caution going here! I've never felt so disrespected as a patient. I can happily say I found a dentist who cares about what I have to say, how I feel and includes me in my care.

Trish is also great; she worked with me regarding a billing issue that I had. She took the time to explain everything and made setting up a payment arrangement a breeze. Worst care provider ever. I sign up for their insurance plan for my family and changed my mind within 10 minutes of providing them payment, per them they take the paper form and mail it to some other place for processing. In this whole 10 minutes I was there in their waiting room, the receptionist told me that they will change it. It has been over month and I am still leaving voicemails and email but no response back. That was one issue but other was, Doctor herself is not responding to my tooth issue. I have been reaching out to them since I have cavity and it is not increasing the pain. No appointments or response back to get an appointment. Since I have their treatment package which is for a year, I am stuck with their poor service. I won't recommend to use this place ever.

I’ve been going to Dental Spa for 10 years, with both the current and old owners. I highly recommend Dental Spa to anyone who needs to have their teeth cleaned, or fix a chipped tooth. Dr. Yang has fixed my chipped tooth multiple times, and only charged me for the first procedure. It’s a tough location on the tooth to fix, and he’s very helpful and goes out of his way to accommodate his patients. Thank you Dr. Yang.

Worst Dental Experience EVER! I had an 11 o'clock appt for general checkup and cleaning. I arrived at 10:40 because I know I have to fill out paperwork since I am a new patient. I noticed on the form they already assigned a dental hygienist for me. After I came in, I noticed there were around 5 or 6 patients who came in with an 11 and 11:15 appointments. All the patients who came in after me were all called in, except for me. I was sitting there waiting for 40 minutes, wondering what was going on. Then finally, a girl who introduced herself as a dental assistant called me in. I asked her why I came in early, but was the last person to be called in. I also explained that there was a girl who is also a new patient with an 11 o'clock appt and she only waited less than 10min, and there was another lady with an 11:15 appt who was seen before me. The assistant girl then left the room, came back and told me that there was a scheduling error. They scheduled me and another person with the same dental hygienist at the same time. So now the only thing they can do for me is take an X-ray and that I have to come back for cleaning. Seriously??? Now I have to waste time and gas to come back because the office couldn't schedule patients correctly? The assistant then tried to take my Xray, but she kept being interrupted by other staff members (3 times) to do things for them. The assistant was like "I have a patient here, need to take her Xray." The other staff members were like , "No, we need you, come." WOw, I felt like I am invisible to these people. So I sat there with the heavy X-ray shield cover for 20 minutes waiting for the assistant to take my X-ray. After the Xray, a dentist then came in for less than 5 min and left. The hygienist came in to do the gum grading for 5 min and left. I heard the assistant girl asked another staff member if there was any available hygienist who could do a cleaning for me today. They said no, no one is available. They then told me to come back for cleaning. I told them to give me my Xray and I'll go to a different office for cleaning. This place is not very professional at all. They made me feel like I didn't have an appointment and they were doing me a favor by seeing me. My whole day was ruined because of them. Horrible!!!

I am a born and raised Delawarean with the worst dental genetics on the planet. Accordingly, I feel confident when I say there is no better dentist's office in Delaware. A welcomed change of pace to the otherwise dreaded dental experience. The office is clean and peaceful, the receptionist polite and patient, and the dentists gentle and friendly. CDS will give you a full explanation of your insurance benefits and answer any insurance or billing questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. Of course, there will be hiccups anywhere. Unlike the other dentists, however, CDS will handle the issue appropriately. For example, upon my arrival for a recent visit I was informed that I did not have an appointment. Nevertheless, I was seen within fifteen minutes of my arrival. CDS puts patient satisfaction first and it shows. In case you need any more convincing, there is a real spa on the second floor of the office. If you have stress about the dentist, what better way to relax than get a massage before or after your visit? Nobody likes getting dental work, so why not mitigate as much of the unpleasantness as possible? CDS cuts out everything you hate about the dentist's office, except the dentist. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. How incredibly arrogant and rude the assistant business manager Lola Acevedo is. I have been calling for weeks with a billing issue. Despite multiple voicemails she does not return my phone calls. I finally got her on the line and she just keeps telling me this is a problem with my insurance Co yet my company has told me it had been paid. Before I could bother to explain that to her, she hung up on me. I only so desperately hope that their phone calls are recorded. I didn't even get my question out before she hung up on me. At this point I will be working to get in touch with the owner. What horrible horrible customer service from a dentist office. Even when you have nothing new to report other than a claim has not been fully processed, you should definitely at least call a customer back. I'm throughly disgusted with this. Once I finally receive back what is owed to me I most certainly won't be returning. What a shame. What terrible service from a supposed business manager. I've worked in customer service for twenty years and never treated a customer the way I've been treated. I have a legitimate question and it should be answered.

Fancy Pants spa with a dark secrete. One way of paying for the new high tech facility is overcharging your clients, shoddy dental work and higher lower paid inexperienced or bad dentists. I don't care about fancy digs I just want to have competent staff, and be billed correctly! This practice is terrible! My husband had a temporary crown for 15 years. They took it out without telling him. Then told him after his dental cleaning that they had to do a root canal and put a cap on it ( it cost a lot of money ). For the next week he had excruciating pain they had to rework it. They overcharged him, and charged him for their screw up! I was furious they lied took something out of his mouth without his permission! I had 3 fillings and they charged me 900 dollars for the fillings. It was the end of the year, and there were charges inconsistent with the filling charges I had before. They over billed my husband again recently. We changed insurances and I told them my new information ( it was still met life) but they billed the old account instead of the new one. That was fun. I also was told that I have 4 cavities and went to another dentist that said I don't have any cavities. I wondered why suddenly I had bad teeth. There was a male dentist there that did my actual fillings, he was nice. I just don't think the office is run very well, and book keeping is terrible. I have spoken to several people who no longer go there because they've had billing issues. The last trip when I just had my new insurance I told them I switched and gave them my new card. They still billed the old insurance ( i don't even know how that is possible) and told me there was an extra fee because I didn't tell them ahead of time. They also threatened collections, when I had no idea they billed the wrong insurance! Ridiculous. Also they told me the dentist I saw wasn't covered by my insurance, only could only see Dr. Ngyen who runs the place. Which I found strange because they are all in the same practice!! Something fishy is going on here! Buyer beware! Never go here for the love of God!

Also I've met Dr. Nguyen and she too is an easy going individual. Someone who also has the time to listen to the patient. The staff and dentists at Christiana Dental Spa are all so friendly. I am always so relaxed when I go there because it really does have a spa like atmosphere. From the moment you walk in the door to the time actually spent in the dentist chair. There is an awesome massage chair in the lobby and relaxing music playing. Complimentary tea and coffee. They also offer free cool gel eye masks, terry mitt cloths for your hands, blankets and pillows for you to enjoy while in the dentist chair. There is actually a spa upstairs where you can get massage, facials, the whole nine yards. Truly a enjoyable experience when I go to the dentist.

I scheduled an initial appointment on 9/6/19 for 2:00PM, and received a text message 3 days prior to confirm that my appointment is at 2:00PM. The lady who scheduled my appointment said to come in at 1:45PM to expedit my initial check-in and fill out paperwork. I even received a text message to confirm that the appointment was at 2PM. I arrived at 1:45PM as the previous receptionist told me. When I arrived, I was told by the front desk that my appointment was at 1:00PM and that they couldn't take me since they are booked for 2PM and to reschedule my appointment for a later date. I insisted my appointment was at 2, but the lady at the front desk didn't pay any mind to that. She didn't apologize once for the mix-up, which made the situation even more frustrating.

I recently had to have a root canal and, after hearing the negative experiences of friends, I was apprehensive about the potential pain. I was amazed at how careful and gentle Dr. Linda was throughout the procedure. I barely felt the shot and she continued to ask how I was doing periodically to make sure that I was completely comfortable. I randomly selected this office hoping for a great experience... and it did not happen. As a new patient they did X-rays at which cut the bottom of my mouth. After that they did an exam on my gums outside, inside, top and bottom; which hurt while they were doing it and i told them. It is now 3 days later and i have taken Motrin around the clock. I initially went for a cracked tooth at which they did not even touch. I spent 2 hours there & I literally had to walk myself out of the office because 2 hours is not possible with a toddler. I would never recommend this facility.

But since coming to the the Dental Spa for more than 8 yrs, I look forward to my 6 month cleanings as well as the treatments on my treatment plan. They have a great referral program! The Dentist Dr. Recktenwald has a horrible bedside manner. He was so rude and dismissive to me. Made an appointment with me 9 months prior to my wedding and told me to come back 2 weeks before the wedding to do a simple bonding procedure. When I arrived 12 days before my wedding he said I would have never told you that and I'm not doing that and walked out of the room. Needless to say I had no other options at that point. I've never had such bad customer service in my life. Shame on him for that horrible treatment.

Dr. Linda really takes her time with her patients in an effort to do the best job possible and she genuinely cares about her patients. I really like the fact that she, or one of the staff, call after each treatment to check on me to make sure everything is alright and to my satisfaction. Another example that they truly care as the care continues after the appointment is over. The Wellness Center upstairs is also great! I had a massage there and it was fabulous! Although the staff was rude on the phone I decided to go. I requested to been seen by Dr. Linda. The receptionist on the phone was rude and ask why I needed to see her instead of the other dentists. I explained that I preferred a woman and after researching dentists I wanted her. Even though I requested Dr. Linda and had that long conversation with the receptionist, when I arrived they had me scheduled to see the male doctor. While in the chair I demanded to see Dr. Linda and she came in. They didn't give me a cleaning but spent an hour on X-rays and then said I needed to come back for multiple unnecessary deep cleanings, extractions, root canals, etc. They told me that nothing but the regular cleaning and X-ray would be covered by my insurance so the $5,000 bill for the planned work would have to be paid by me. I checked my plan and several of the services they said weren't covered WERE IN FACT COVERED. It's important to mention that this was an "in-network" dental provider which is why I went there so to have nothing covered at all is ridiculous. The crazy thing is they told my husband he needed multiple deep cleanings too. My husband is 43 years old and has had only 1-cavity in his entire life. I felt like they weren't being honest about the necessary treatment and certainly weren't honest about the costs that my insurance would pay. The spa part of the facility was only in the waiting room area. There wasn't anything spa like in the actual room where I was being treated. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. As one reviewer mentioned, there does seem to be a deep dark secret there with the unnecessary procedures and over charging. There really should be some governmental body overseeing this type of thing to protect consumers. They aren't even members of the BBB, but have complaints on there and a C+ rating. And their YELP review is only 3-stars out of 5. I wish I had looked into those things before I went there. There are clearly major issues with this place. Like some other reviewers noted "buyer beware".

Last week I had my first appointment. During that appointment I had x-rays done and a gum health assessment. After discussing a treatment plan and how much my insurance should cover, I scheduled two followup appointments for today to have a cleaning done and to begin work on replacing a crown that badly needed replacing. When I show up for my appointments, I'm informed that as of yesterday this office is now out-of-network for my insurance and my out-of-pocket cost for the work being done today has gone up several hundred dollars. When I asked how long they've known they were going to be out-of-network for me I was told that they've known for several months and that letters had been sent out to patients. I've only been a patient for a week, so naturally I didn't get a letter. Seeing as they've known for months that I would not be fully covered for my appointment today, you'd think they would have mentioned that when discussing my treatment plan, its costs, and my followup appointment dates. Not once was it mentioned that this office would be out-of-network for my insurance. This is completely unprofessional and it seems like they tried to swindle me by willfully withholding information that would have factored heavily into my decision to schedule another appointment with them. At the very least, they could have tried to get me in two days earlier so I would still be in-network. Instead, I'm out a full day's pay from taking off work for these appointments and I have nothing to show for it. *Update* The office has reached out to me to try and remedy the situation. I appreciate the effort and hope my next appointment(s) are better than my previous experience. *Update Two* I've had two appointments since my previous interview and, despite some misunderstandings about the costs of the procedure, it was as pleasant an experience as one can expect when having dental work done.

Weirdest dentist visit I ever had. Scheduled a cleaning and exam. But after 90 minute exam they asked me to schedule another appointment for the cleaning. X-rays were painful. When they heard I had moved to the area recently, one of the dentists keep trying to sell her house to me and my husband. They really offended my husband. They spoke in code and explained nothing. They kept calling him by the wrong name. They couldn’t figure out a treatment plan and wanted to consult among each other and then have him schedule another appointment to get their r commendations. When working on our teeth, they put the chairs so far back we were upside down. The intake forms asked bizarre questions ranging from out entire family history to our favorite music and books. They told me repeatedly during my exam my teeth were great and had no problems. When I left thiough they wanted to make an appointment to fill a cavity. I asked to see the dentist again who then told me there was a cavity. She pointed to an area on the film, but I didn’t see any grey or discoloration. I have never in 50 years felt I needed to get a second opinion to find out if I have a cavity... but I did with these people. And beware of fake 5 star reviews on their website. When I tried to review them, it was impossible to give them anything it five stars!!! Very bizarre. Very unprofessional experience.

I’ve been going to this dentist for a few years now. It’s the first dental spa i ever joined. So far so good, very professional,very relaxing scene. In the waiting room I read through the magazines while sitting in their leather massage chairs which are very niice!.. The staff also offers snacks and drinks. I’ve had different dentists work on my teeth and they all did their job, fixed the problem. I go about twice a year for cleaning and cavity/filling. 2 years ago I bought bleach trays , they offered the free gel whitening whenever I need... the bleaching works but Im not too consistent with it. Upstairs they have a spa… never used the hand or feet pedicures but I got a few massages over the years. Their Deep tissue massages are fierce, definitely worth it.. honestly speaking i never even heard of a dental spa concept until around 2008. I’ve been to plenty of dentist offices since I was a kid and this one is one of the best. Recommended

WHEN I CONTACTED CHRISTIANA DENTAL SPA I WAS TOLD BY DR ARM THAT SINCE IT WAS YEARS LATER I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THEM TO REMOVE THE REST OF THE TOOTH THAT THEY DIDNT GET OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE. WHICH I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH SINCE IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE NOT MINE. I WILL BE CONTACTING MY LAWYER!!!! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK HERE EVER AGAIN FOR DENTAL WORK AND I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO EVER GO HERE FOR DENTAL WORK!
