This place is magical! I tried the salt bed today! I'm definitely coming back weekly for the yoga classes as well.

Fell in love with this place! The salt "cave" is literally one of the best I have found, so relaxing! Great energy there. Highly recommend!

I thought I would try this. It is said that helps with many medical issues. The room was very nice and peaceful, but it stopped being peaceful when people started snoring, I mean cutting down a forest kind of snoring. This is the place for them, but if I go back I will bring ear plugs.

Amazing! Everyone needs more places like this

Staff was rather rude and unfriendly. I will never again spend money to go and take a nap at a room full of strangers. A woman kept coughing and sneezing...i came out of there 40.00 short in my wallet and with a cold.

Salt of the Earth Spa has the best cave in CT in my opinion. It is well designed, very clean and attractive. The owners renovated this room themselves and they have used the maximum amount of salt on the floor and on the walls in the cave which equates to more therapeutic results. Their zero-gravity chairs are comfy and they supply cozy blankets while you listen to beautiful music for about 40 -45 min. Very reasonably priced and you can add on another service like reflexology (which I did and it was even more relaxing!).

Testimonial from Ann F Certified Instructor in Restorative Breathing: Beautiful, Harmonious, Uplifting are the first adjectives that leap to mind when I think of my first visit to Salt in the Cave. The owners, Sue and Marty have taken such care to create a warm and welcoming and (again) beautiful space filled with anything you might want to nurture your body and soul. The products are all lovingly chosen with care and regard for their organic and healing properties and each of their treatment rooms are an oasis of calm. The large salt therapy room is an experience not to be missed. The salt walls and floor are luminous from soft light emanating from the salt walls and floor and the healing effects of the salt room are amplified and enhanced by a remarkable new air system they have installed. I walked out of it feeling so clean and light and energized and hopeful. Thank you Sue and Marty for this Sanctuary.

The Spa is amazing and so inviting. I loved the services they offered me and the cave is like taking that nap along the Oceanside. It helped my sinuses open up!

I’m sorry to say that this was not a great experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. But we had to share the room with four other people, one of which snored the entire time. This was not the staffs fault, but seeing other reviews this isn’t the only time this has happened to people. Perhaps had headphones been provided it could have been a relaxing experience. Until they do, bring your own or ask for a private room. And for those of you that snore...stay home and nap for free please. You’re ruining it for others who pay good money!

I had a massage swedish massage with MaryBeth. I have issues with arms and hands falling asleep. She located a lot of tension in neck and shoulders. I noticed a marked difference in the days following. I will be going back for more.

I had a facial at Salt of the Earth spa with Jaime that was fantastic!!!

I tried the salt cave. I recommend this for everyone. Take 45 minutes out of your day and just relax. You leave feeling relaxed and will have a great nights sleep. Its a real cute place and offers a lot of other services.

I wouldn't waste your time. The salt cave was 45mins long and all they do is play "relaxing" music. I felt no different leaving there and thought it was a bit silly to pay that money for it. I also had a prenatal massage after which was advertised as 60mins for $80 (price/time was also confirmed over the phone). Once I was in the massage room, the lady then told me the price was incorrect and its actually $80 for 30mins which I thought was ridiculous. I didn't argue it because I had already driven an hour there and it wouldn't have done me any good anyway at that point. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The salt cave is relaxing and rejuvenating. The feeling of peace is worth the trip. I had a Reiki session there and thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend Salt of the Earth.

For me I must have missed something. I made reservations for 2 people for the salt cave. I told the women I spoke to that my friend did NOT want to be around other people in the cave, and said I wanted it for just the two of us. She said that was ok and said it was $40 each. We drove up from Wallingford and walked in filled out some paperwork. There was no place to secure our purses, but unlocked lockers were provided. The next thing I know this women comes out and proceeds to talk to both of us in a condescending manner as if we were kids. She said if I wanted it private for just the two of us it would be $200 and I was wrong in thinking it was going to be private for $40 each. She said if I wanted to know how many people were going to join us we had to "look on line" to see how many were going. NONE of this was said to me when I made the reservation. NONE of it. She said "well it is on our brochure and on line". By this time my friend and I had had enough of her awful attitude towards both of us. I had also asked about any specials and the girl said "no" and when we got there, there were Nov. specials on a chalk board outside. I am happy everyone else had a good time there, but for me I found this woman with the red hair abrasive and rude. If anything I needed a place to go to AFTER the way she talked to us. You know a good business would say, "I am sorry there may have been a misunderstanding" but NO, it was ALL my fault. I guess there is always a first time huh?

Absolutely amazing. Rooms were better then expected. Even a kids room. Staff is super nice and friendly. Went specifically for kids room. My child benefited from it and so did I.

Very pleased with my first visit to the salt cave room. Staff was very pleasant. Could use locking lockers, we did opt to leave our things in our car.

Wonderful place to get a massage! I haven't tried any of their other healing salt services, but I have had 2 great massages from both Chris and Gayle. I highly recommend adding the hot stones to your massage to really get those knots out - and it's complimentary this February!

Sue Berk

Can wait to go back, it was my first time but by no means my last. The staff could not have been friendlier and more welcoming. The cave is immaculate as is the store area. I can't stop raving about my great experience.
