Dont waste ur time. Recieved half my services and the health department shut her down. 2 months later Requesed a refund . Denied it.. since has reopen may 7 and have not recieved a courtesy call back. I've called 7 time in 3 weeks. And numerous text. Also lied to bbb saying I have an appt Saturday at 1030 which I dont ....

Like all other reviews, I was scammed too. Danielle does not complete the services, you’ve paid for. I was able to dispute my charges and have the money credited back to my card. Being an honest person, I paid her for the number of services she rendered, which were not as effective since they were so far apart. When I disputed the charges, she texted me offering free services for not giving her a bad review. I tried to contact her several times after she re-opened, after being shut down by the health department. If she had the intention to make good and run an honest business, it would have been done by now. She’s always had some excuse or another in case you get in touch with her. She is unscrupulous as proved by the reviews, her answers to others on BBB and her being defiant to prove the person writing the review wrong. She’s opened a new company, Viva La Medical Spa and can purchase discounted services on Groupon. Please let all your friends know to be aware of the new business, which would be a scam too.

NOT PROFESSIONAL OR SAFE. Will never go back and caution anyone else who buys a groupon for there. Severely burned after purchasing 6 treatments. Obviously was not trying to go back for 5 more sessions of torture. Once she agreed to a refund, it took two months for me to actually realize she always tries to find a way out of it. After going to her house/spa, she stands me up and then I catch her trying to leave (I was waiting in her driveway) before meeting me! So shady. I will be scarred until I can find a dermatologist or SOMETHING expensive to undo her mistakes. Her Yelp reviews show a similar story of her having trouble keeping appointments and burning people/refusing to refund.

I wouldn't even add a star if I could. This place literally SUCKS! I created multiple appointments and she always cancelled LAST MINUTE. Also her groupon reviews that says she's great is so fake. ABSOLUTELY FAKE! Horrible place and sucky customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I would give ZERO stars if possible. The owner is unprofessional and I am not even sure if this is a legitimate business. I went to her for laser hair removal (which she operates out of her living room that has just a drape between the room and a household of people) and on numerous occasions she double booked me, was not home for the appointment, did not respond to phone calls/texts. I had prepaid for a package and after a couple treatments I just cut my losses and stopped going (also she stopped responding to me to book my last appointments). I have gone to numerous places for laser hair removal and saw better results by trained professionals. Don’t waste your time or money.

I was given a gift through groupon for this spa (which was about $100) on my birthday over a month ago and I have had the worst experience. I showed up on the day of my appointment, the day that I was scheduled, and she said that she couldn't see me or my friend who also bought the groupon. We tried several times to reschedule our appointment and each time it seemed as if she came up with an excuse to as to why she couldn't see us. After several attempts to contact her she stopped contacting us all together and doesn't pick up her phone calls. Now its over a month later and I'm out $100! 0/10 would NOT recommend.

Danielle is so sweet and is always trying to provide the best service possible! I have been going to her day spa for the past 8 or 9 months and she always makes sure I am comfortable and happy with the results! If you are interested in laser, she has a new machine that works extremely well and there is little to no pain at all! Go to Danielle's day spa, you won't regret it!!!

STRATFORD, CT (WFSB) - The Better Business Bureau revoked its accreditation for a spa in Stratford after receiving nearly a dozen complaints. The complaints were filed against the Danielle Marie Day Spa/Viva La Medical Spa after prepaid customers claimed they were not able to schedule appointments. The customers said they purchased package of six laser hair removal treatments from Groupon, but were unable to schedule follow-up appointments after the first one. Some also reported that after appointments were scheduled, they would show up to find the lights off and the doors locked. The BBB said the customers ultimately lost their money and never received the services for which they already paid. It also said when the customers pressed the spa for refunds, the spa cited a no refunds policy. The BBB said it was notified on Sept. 13 that the Danielle Marie Spa operated under a new name, the Viva la Medical Spa, and continued to sell packages online. Regardless of the two different names, the BBB said it considers the spa the same business because both names appear on the spa's website. The phone number for both is also the same. The BBB stripped the spa of its accreditation on Sept. 21. The spa also has an "F" rating on the BBB's website.
