Good massages

My wife & I stayed at the Brown Palace recently and made use of their spa facilities. I checked out the prices beforehand and knew the services were more expensive than most but we booked two massages and a facial anyway. The massages were good. My wife said her facial was good also. The problem came when I went to pay the bill. The girl checking me out handed me a small sack containing three beauty products. I asked "what's this for?" She said "they are for your wife." I said "oh, she found some things and didn't pay for them yet?" She said "yes, I believe so." I didn't think much about it because this sort of thing happens often with my wife. My wife joins me a few moments later and I asked her about the sack of goods and she knew nothing about them! Apparently, the spa personnel decided to just add items to our bill without asking. The second offense came when she informed us of the total. I was expecting a high amount but her quoted amount was well over $100 high. I asked for an itemization and then learned my wife's facial cost $250!!! I told them "the facial I ordered was only around $100. Why are you charging me $250?" The girl said "well, your wife upgraded the facial." My wife spoke up and said "I did no such a thing! The lady giving me the facial never mentioned upgrade or up charge." The clerk said "well, that is what you got and it was $250." I called in the manager and the unwanted services/product were discounted. I understand this is a ritzy place and expected things to be higher priced than usual, but this was ridiculous.

My husband and I went to The Brown Palace Spa to celebrate my birthday. We got a couples massage and Lyndsey & Sara were so sweet! We each had amazing treatments and were so pleased with the service and our overall experience at the spa. They were serving complimentary champagne and mimosas and even game me two birthday treats (one before my treatment and one after)! Everyone from when we got there to when we left was so sweet! We will definitely be going back!

Richard gave me the best massage I've ever had, having chiropractic + sports therapy knowledge he went to work on some serious aches I was having from CrossFit (which I do 4 - 5 times a week). I've never had more fun or felt more comfortable with a stranger during a massage. Only negative is pricing, I can't dish out $150+ on an hour massage frequently, so this would have to be a special occasion visit if I come back.

Absolutely the WORST...Not worth the money...employees are rude...managers state refunds and then never give them to you...would NEVER stay here again even if I was paid too...High tea was wonderful!

I purchased a couple's retreat for my girlfriend and me for her birthday and the spa team did not disappoint. The lounge spaces, including the shower and steam facilities were excellent, the staff was attentive, and the massage was superb. Because we had the retreat, we also spent time in the couple's tub and shared a bottle of champagne and some strawberries, all of which were excellent as well. The only modifications (not even sure I would call them improvements, because that would imply the experience lacked anything) I would suggest are more time to relax as a couple - the plunge was 25 minutes, which was generous, but there wasn't really a way to spend time together outside of that and finish the champagne (but we did because we are not amateurs

Came in for a pedicure and to our disappointment it wasn’t much different than any random place, but sure was expensive! The room was mediocre, we weren’t offered anything to drink, one person helping us didn’t speak, the other talked the entire time! Not all that relaxing. Pedicure has lasted, but wouldn’t return. Super disappointed.

My boyfriend and I checked in on a Monday night and stayed for one night. We got the ultimate romance package that was AMAZING! The package included a bottle of champagne, a $50 credit for a dinner and a $45 credit for breakfast. It also included a couples massage. When we first arrived there was a gentleman playing the piano. Very soothing and definitely set the tone to the lobby. When we got in we got a free upgrade to the Reagan Presidential Suite! This room was top notch! It had two bathrooms, one had a tub that you could swim laps in and the other one was just a half bathroom. When we got to the spa we were greeted right away and taken our separate ways. The changing room for the ladies had a steam room, showers and a sitting area with complementary tea and snacks. The hotel I guess has bee hives on the roof so they use that honey for all of their bathroom products. (Nice touch) After the nice massage we when to the Ship Tavern (casual attire). This place is an easy $60 per person type of restaurant. The bread that they brought out while we waited for our dinner was edible to say the least. (Texas road house has better bread and is not a four star restaurant) I had the filet of beef and the sauce it had on it was gross it took the flavor away completely. My boyfriend had the prime rib which I ended up eating half of since my dinner tasted horrible. The crab cakes were delicious thought. The service was not great. The server didn't even bother asking how our meal was. (I expected a lot more from a place that was this pricy) not only that but she barely came to our table. In the morning we got breakfast which was ok. Nothing special however the prices were better. And service was a lot better as well. Over all this hotel is great just not the dinning. If they are going to charge so much for food they should probably step up their game.

Every year when I am in Denver, I make a point to have a spa treatment. Their services are great, their lounge and shower facilities are awesome. Highly recommend!

After reading other spa reviews for this place I don’t feel badly giving them a 1 Star. The services and therapists were wonderful. My problems came when paying for the massage, wrap, & facial. 1. I received a 50-min wrap. When I went to pay for it along with my husband’s massage the cost was over $400. I looked at the itemization and they were charging me for a 110-min wrap. FINALLY I had to just say, look, I went in at 11AM and it is now noon. I clearly was not in the room for 110-min. Then he proceeded to adjust my bill. 2. I upgraded my facial to include neck and chest. After discussing this with the therapist she recommended a different facial that would include the neck and chest. Again, when I got to checkout I was charged and extra $48-for the neck and chest. This still has not been resolved. The checkout person wouldn’t even hear about adjusting it. I then posted a PM on Facebook. I was told to contact the spa manager if I wanted to. I have yet to hear from him. We have been to many places on vacations and visited many spas. This is by far the most overrated and disappointing one we have been too. I would recommend the hotel but not the spa.

The people who work there are sweet but the online booking was for $115 and I paid $225... for and updo (without shampoo or blow dry, only ironing and pinning it up) and makeup with fake lashes that wasn't particularly great. Don't trust the online booking price.

I have been to the Spa before and had a wonderful experience but today I had the best massage ever! Mary worked her magic on me with a deep tissue massage. I hadn't had a deep tissue before but my back has been killing me for months and she got to everything today and I feel amazing!
