I have been fortunate enough to go through an Executive Wellness program at STRATA Integrated Wellness Spa at The Garden of the Gods Resort. This has exposed me to all the services provided through the wellness facility. From start to-date, I have found the experience meaningful and very positive. All Doctors and Clinicians have been incredibly kind, thoughtful and are to be considered experts in their respective fields. I have never felt better from an energy and mental alertness standpoint. I have also had the opportunity to utilize their beautiful Spa facilities, for treatments, their relaxation lounges and for salon services. This too is a world class facility.

It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review, but my experience with Michelle was so disappointing that I felt I had to say something.. Michelle just did my hair and makeup for my friend’s wedding. The make up was “eh” at best and really nothing special. I asked her for false lashes which is basically the only reason I paid to have makeup done, and she said she didn’t have any. I was quite disappointed, but then I heard the stylist working with another bridesmaid sitting next to me ask if SHE would like fake lashes, so I inquired why this was available to the other bridesmaid working with a different stylist but not to me (and mind you I paid just as much). Michelle acted annoyed that I had asked for this very simple and what I would consider routine service for a bridal party. She even “forgot” about them at the end and tried to hurry me out of the room; I had to remind her again about them, at which point she applied the most ridiculously huge, costume-looking false lashes I have ever seen. She then went on to do my hair which honestly turned out hideous and nothing like the picture I showed her for inspiration. My hair ended up falling out of the updo she did during the wedding ceremony, and I had to completely redo it myself in the bathroom at the reception. I am nowhere near a professional stylist, but even I managed to redo my own hair and make it look better than what she had originally done and it held the rest of the night when I did it. I am extremely upset that I paid so much for makeup I could’ve done myself and hair I ended up having to redo myself. If any brides out there are considering using this salon for your big day, I would strongly caution against it. Our bride brought in her own stylist who did only her hair and makeup, and it’s a good thing she did. I have had many wonderful experiences having my hair and makeup done when part of a bridal party in the past, but this one was beyond disappointing and honestly I’d like my money back. I’d give zero stars if I could!

Having trouble with my upper back and neck after many years of rigorous work in professional kitchens, I have finally found the healing hands and therapy that I have been looking for over the years. I have had the luxury to visit with Dr. Wells four times in the last year, and WOW, results are clearly noticeable. I also have had a visit with Dr. Powell, who has vast knowledge about nutrition and herbs. This place is a hidden gem that more people should know about. The facility is first class and all the practitioners are all experts in their fields. Acupuncture to meditation to nutrition to heart wellness to Ivy therapy, they have it all. The best part is that it is not too expensive and they accept most insurance plans.

Had the opportunity to experience a number of the services at Strata. Every doctor and clinician was passionate about their practice and really took the time to explain all of the details of their work. From helping with realignment, to providing great nutritional feedback, to some really cool acupuncture and massage, to an incredible cardio vascular exam and detailed review of my blood work it was fantastic!
