I cannot say enough good things about Genesis. The location and the spa itself are gorgeous and the staff is phenomenal. The monthly skin fitness is an excellent deal. About a year ago I started getting adult acne out of nowhere and the monthly skin fitness club has helped me get it under control. I've also gone for laser tattoo removal. They have a very powerful laser that produces much better results than other places I've gone in the past. I highly recommend Genesis!

Oh my goodness!! What can I say about the wonderful Genesis MedSpa?? So much. I am just working on a divorce from my husband of 19 years. To say the least, my self esteem crumbled. When I first had a visit with the staff at the spa, I felt welcomed, loved and cared for. I had never met any of them. Genesis MedSpa gave great facials (Lyndsay), Dr. Bode is wonderful in talking to me about my skin. I've learned so much and I feel like we are good friends. It feels that way with Michelle, Amy, Alex, Sarah, Rebekah, Alex and everyone at Genesis Med Spa. As soon as you walk into this beautiful office you are treated with the utmost respect and they are so caring and friendly. They definitely lift my spirits. Oh. I was really nervous getting filler in my lips for the first time. Dr. Jenks gave me a dental block and Kellie, the nurse, was super patient and kind. Kellie did the lip filler and my lips look amazing! I then got a facial from Bree and she was so funny and sweet about making sure to avoid my mouth. First let me start by saying the girls at the front desk were always very sweet. The place is absolutely beautiful my bad review is STRICTLY off the Vaser Lipo. I do not recommend it to anyone. In Feb I got the Vaser Lipo down on my back and my arms. Before getting the procedure I told Dr. Jenks and the nurse how much I hated my arms. They both assured me that they would take good care of me. The day of the procedure the nurse told me to take 2 of the pills that is SUPPOSED to pretty much make you loopy and not remember or feel anything or that is what the nurse told me anyway. I took both pills and sat for about 30 mins. I felt no different. Once I got back to the room where they did the procedure Dr. Jenks made one incision and I told her right away that I could feel it that I wasn't numb. So she gave me another shot of lidocaine. I felt almost EVERYTHING from the procedure. Imagine being awake during surgery and you will understand the pain I was in. I kept telling them but they seemed as if it was normal and kept going. It was extremely painful but like a dummy I took it because I thought they knew what they were doing. From the very start I let the office know that I was moving out of state and I would NOT be able to follow through with ALL of my post op appointments they were ok with that. The first appointment after I voiced my concerns about the amount of pain I was still in, as they said I would be able to go back to work same day if I wanted. That was NOT the case I wasn't able to return to work for a week. I also voiced concerns over the next couple appointments about pain and also how lumpy my arms looked a bunch of burn like scares that were all over my arms (NOT THE INCISION MARKS). They assured me all was normal and to just wait my 6 months to see the final results. Well here we are 6 months later and my arms are AWFUL! WAY worse than before the procedure. I have about 15 burn like scares on my arms that look soo bad I refuse to wear short sleeve shirts. I have total nerve damage in my back and my arms are lumpy. I wrote a review on their facebook page which immediately after the Dr did contact me by email. Dr. Jenks did offer to write me a script for Steriods to help with the nerve damage but I already have an appointment set up with a Nurologist she also said she would give me some laser treatment for free. However I AM NOT in that state. I asked for my money back so I could afford to get her mistakes corrected and still have not heard back. Stay FAR FAR away if this is the procedure you want done.

Dr. Jenks and the staff at Genesis MedSpa get my highest recommendation for their services. I've had the laser hair removal, sublative/eMatrix skin rejuvenation, and the LimeLight IPL for sun spots administered at Genesis. All treatments were delivered comfortably and their prices are quite reasonable for the results I received. They also carry a full line of medical grade skin care products which are prescribed for after the treatments to enhance the procedures.

I wasn’t sure at first, but she’s very knowledgeable about her practice and she’s super comforting throughout the whole procedure - which was way less painful than I expected! She makes you feel like you’ve known her forever! I just had my second session and my tattoo is almost completely gone. Her prices are also VERY fair for how great of a job she does. I really enjoyed this place. Front desk gals are super friendly and helpful. My consultation was very informative and I seemed pretty spot on, (I've been working in the outdoors for years, sometimes not wearing sunscreens because I breakout so badly). I thought the consultation was very honest. They listend and offered me great products. I already notice a difference in my skin and one of the products works great! The other does make me break out, they did inform me if a product doesn't work I can return it (we'll see how that goes later (I'll post how that goes)). They all are very knowledgeable and i noticed they communicated with each other very well. Out of several facial facilities I've been to. This has been the best so far! I dont live here full time so we'll also see how well they uphold to the Spa Facial Fitness package I paid (in-full) up front for.

I showed up 4 mins before my appointment time. I had sat in traffic for 20 mins (accident on freeway) and my commute was a total of 45 mins. I even tried to call with no answer. But I still got there BEFORE my 11:00 appointment!! I was RUDLY "welcomed" by the office girls. Who basically gave dirty looks and told me to go home and reschedule my appointment. Even tho I technically wasnt even late for my appointment! I took the day off work and drove 45 mins and they refused to take me back to be seen for my consultation. They said it was because I needed to fill out the papers but I could have easily done that while waiting for the doc or even after/during the appointment. And even if a couple papers needed to be filled out beforehand, we could have rushed the consultation as I already knew exactly what I wanted. They were absolutely rude about the whole situation. I will never go back here and I was willing to pay thousands for multiple treatments. They lost a great potential customer! I'm sure they will reply to this with some nonsense as I see that is a trend on negative reviews, but that's my honest experience!

They really emphasize on referring your friends but I WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE MY WORST ENEMY GO HERE! I have received juvederm lip fillers before, so I have an idea of what the procedure entails. The filler began to give me large, unnatural looking lumps in my lips so I went back in to have it fixed. I just wanted it dissolved with the hyaluronidase and had to beg Dr. Jenks. I kept telling her it makes me uncomfortable and self conscious and she suggested I try the "laser therapy" first. It did absolutely nothing except burn and hurt so I made another appointment. I had to beg again to Dr. Jenks to dissolve the juvederm. She finally agreed and I could tell she did not care about me as a person, let alone a paying customer. SHE DID NOT EVEN NUMB MY LIPS! It was extremely painful and I did my research afterwards and absolutely every other medical spa, even the non accredited ones, numb their patients because of the painfulness that occurs. She did not even give me gauze or a kleenex or anything and I was bleeding a lot and crying due to the pain. Honestly, I still have no idea what she even injected into my lips because it didn't dissolve anything and it has been several weeks. I also have never bruised so badly in my life. I believe Dr. Jenks takes advantage of women who are already self-conscious and trying to meet today's impossible beauty standards. She preys upon our insecurities. In the end, I am more self conscious then I was before and cannot believe that Dr. Jenks is bullying and disfiguring women under the guise of "doctor." Whoever reads this, please, as woman to woman or human being to human being GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!! ***And I can attest that I have actually been here, it's called writing anonymously. This is not slander, everything I have stated is true. This is me exercising my first amendment right and it's my due diligence to educate individuals, who put their trust in doctors and choose to seek medical enhancements, to not go here. This is the platform for honest reviews about my experience at your establishment and instead of questioning my integrity, maybe look at your own.

I would like to start off by saying that I am not a high class income member and yes I was treated differently. I came in to see Genesis Medspa back in 2012 for a living social deal for Dermaplane. I thought that things went well so I wanted to get their professional opinion for skin issues on my face in August 2015. I was told that I had a form of melanoma and was recommended the melanage peel and told I qualified for a discount. There was no communication of how much the discount was. A month later I received and paid for my treatment. I was provided little information about follow-up care. (Causing me an extra trip due to not being told to bring in my skin cream to add medication to it.) I also was told to come in for another follow up visit where the staff was “unsure” why I was there. So I went with them providing me information on skin creams. I purchased some products, which at no time was I ever provided an itemized bill to know what all I was paying for. They sent me a bill in the mail over 6 months after my visit for $360. I called them trying to figure out what it was for and I was hung up on and placed on hold multiple times. I continued to pursue the issue and it was difficult to get a hold of Mrs. Julie Brooks (staff member that sent me the bill) who was rarely in the office. I have visited the office to ask for copies of all my records and to speak with them about this. I only received 7 pages of my record from 2012 and did not get to speak with anyone who knew anything. Dr. Jenks communicated only by e-mail stating it was their mistake and then only provided me 3 pages of my care. It is almost a year since my initial visit and I still don’t have all my information or clarification on why their mistake is found this far in the future and all I get is a bill in the mail. Now they are threatening to send the bill to debt collectors. I still HAVE NOT been able to speak personally with any staff member or receive all of this documentation.

I've had several procedures done at Genesis MedSpa from Botox, to Juvaderm, to Restalyne injections and have always been very happy with the results. The procedures and expected results were always as described. My VaserLipo was the same. I've also had VaserLipo done on my back and stomach. The results were so great one of my friends is now going in to get it done on her stomach. Do I look 20? No, but the fat is gone and my stomach is flatter than it has been in years. In time I even went to smaller size in skirts and jeans. Dr. Jenks and Amy took great care of me during and after the procedure and Dr. Jenks even called to check on me post-procedure. In addition to the work I've had done, I couldn't be more pleased with the entire staff and the office itself. All very professional and positive. I would definitely recommend Dr. Jenks and her staff to anyone who was looking for a caring, quality experience.

I wouldn’t go here. Disappointing experience!! I went in to get filler and I planned on buying a whole syringe. Dr. Jenks was very nice - however she advised that I only do half a syringe for under my eyes, the rest of the full syringe she used in other places only face (that did not make any difference at all). I knew the full syringe should have gone all in the area I desired. I did not see results, so at this point I am frustrated because I realize the doctor should have put the whole syringe in the desired area. I went back in after calling and expressing my disappointment. Went in and they couldn’t find my chart so they had no idea what they did in my previous visit!! The doctor’s solution to this situation was that I had to pay for another half syringe!!! This second syringe the doctor barley inserted it in my skin, and AGAIN no results!! So now I have spent almost a grand, and have very disappointing results!! At this point calling to get this fixed would mean I would probably be asked to buy another syringe!!! I literally had zero marks on my face from the second time. Really upsetting. I feel like I got a lot of money taken from me, and got really awful results. I am 37, and really wondering how much they really inserted because I should have seen results. Upsetting.

I first received Ultherapy. 6 months later, no change. I should have been educated by Dr Jenks that my face would not benefit from this machine as I do not fit the typical profile for Ultherapy. $3000 wasted. Dr Jenks then offers something “more aggressive.” J Plasma for a “discounted price” of $3000 since the Ultherapy was a total waste of money. Dr Jenks said I was the “perfect candidate” for J Plasma. I trusted her so I underwent the J Plasma for face/neck. Again; not only was there no change but 3 days later, my neck over my thyroid swelled so much I had to go the ER. I was having difficulty breathing. Dr Jenks had no idea what the reaction was. The bill from the ER was approximately 10,000 which after insurance left me with close the $3000. I also got my lips filled which lasted about 6 weeks.

I went in nervous, scared and all by myself. I knew I wanted to improve my appearance and make a few minor changes to keep my youth. I decided to take the plunge and get juvaderm to fix my sagging right side lip & add a little extra to make my lips look more fuller but natural at the same time. Dr Jenks & her staff were AMAZING!! I requested the nurse to hold my hand and she came in & calmed my nerves and reassured me that it was looking great while the Dr was injecting!
