Float tank was blistering hot. Went to another place a few days prior and it was perfect. I thought the whole point was to match your skin temp. Staff was nice.

I went to A New Spirit with a friend on his birthday for a 30 min float and 30 min massage because of the fantastic reviews online. Everything started off great. We were greeted right away and shown to our float tanks. Both my sessions were great, if you don't mind wearing robe you could see your nipples through around strangers. My friend was WALKED IN ON while floating in a tank, completely naked, by a staff member in a tank that had light entering through the seams of the tank and while listening to the chatter of clients in the lounge area. Not exactly the relaxing, de-sensitizing experience he was looking forward to. Now, mistakes happen. However, I found out about this after we left. I got in contact with the owner, Andrea, and she flat out called me a liar regarding the incident. She instantly started yelling at me on the phone and was very unapologetic. I did not my ask for my money back, I did not ask for any hand outs because of the situation. The owner was so rude and would not allow me to get a word in that I had to hang up the phone. I work as a massage therapist in a spa setting and have NEVER experienced anything like this in a customer service setting. This place has potential, but not with the owner calling clients liars and unwilling to fix an extremely bad experience.

They will take your money, First call was to schedule Custom Warm stones- they schedule me Saturday 10am Yesterday she reschedules me for 4pm- saying they cant even do warm stone but they can do a custom This morning I email them saying i just want WARM STONES (because they have been having trouble contacting me via cell phone) She went ahead and got someone to come in at my original appt time 10am to do warm stones Being that they rescheduled me at the beginning anyways I did not show up for 10 am They said they are taking my gift card fo $45 to pay the lady that was able to show up at 10am I'm really upset and I don't ever want to deal with these people again. Thieves. She tells me 1 hr before that she can fit me in. I even called this morning.

What a wonderful place! They have mimosas, wine, chocolate and more! The massage therapists are experienced and you will get the one-on-one experience! They will remember you! You even get a little discount if you book with them again! Great way to save money! The spa is not corporate at all like Massage Envy; they never push you out the door! The sauna and detox experience is great and I felt immediately better! The packages are a cheaper way to do many different things within the spa! Try the float tank and go in with an open mind! Make sure to ask questions! There is a reason behind everything! Very relaxing and great for back or joint pain. One of my pregnant friends did it and she felt immediate relief! Temperature is body temperature so people with heart problems can immerse themselves and its great if you meditate! Staff is kind, friendly, knowledge and professional! They make sure you never have to lift a finger and that you leave completely relaxed! My advice: go in with positive energy and you will have a wonderful time!

I researched for months before deciding to try floatation. The only shower/bathroom is separate from the tank, you're given a cheap beach bag for your clothes and a practically see-through cotton robe. The waiting room is a common area with a sauna in it and it is far from relaxing to sit in a thin robe with fully clothed men and women, someone sitting in the glass sauna and employees doing laundry around the corner. I was obviosuly uncomfortable and owner yelled across the room that I didn't have to stay, at which point I should have realized I wasn't wanted and left. The tank is old, has light coming through, is too hot, heavily chlorinated and I could hear people talking outside. I ended up nauseous, in severe head/neck pain from the stress of the environment and got out after 10min. The owner acted very understanding and apparently lots of people like it here, but it was incredibly upsetting for me.

If it were possible to leave a review absent any stars, i would. I gifted a friend a massage for a $45.00 value and they had a horrible experience only trying to make the appointment. Thanks A new spirit wellness center & spa for giving the perception i have bad taste when it comes to quality services. Their were scheduling issues for a hot stone massage which supposedly is a service the company does not provide, but was scheduled anyway. The company also made claims that their were appointments made that put two employees "out of work" but with no confirmation from the customer. I'm not one to leave reviews especially bad reviews but this is just poor customer service. In sum this establishment made a promise to provide a service they do not offer and made appointments on behalf a customer with out their permission, and to top it off the $45.00 was redeemed by the company with out providing the service.

Andrea was so wonderful in booking and accommodating our party of 6. She was always available to answer my emails and any questions I had. We had a little bit of time between when we had to be out of our airbnb and our massage appointments but they let us come in and get comfortable before our massages, which was so nice. My massage therapist was WONDERFUL!! I can't remember her name but she helped me in the upstairs room on the left. She taught me about Chinese medicine and foot reflexology and gave me great tips on how to prevent crystal build up in my muscles!! Thank you all so much!

My brother and I went to try the floatation tanks. Both of us were extremely excited. Staff was mediocre at first, but not a big deal, we didn't think anything of it. During the middle of my float I got a little bored and decided to get on my phone. I had my flash on my phone and was looking around the tank, and I found BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE. all over the ceilings and walls of the tank. I immediately got out and showered. I let the staff know what I found, and was very understanding with her that "things happen" and she was very rude and saying "this isn't mold it's plastic." NO it was most certainly black mold. The next day I woke up with two ear infections as well as a fever. I have never in my life had an ear infection, and my head didn't even go under water. A New Spirit is very lucky that I don't call the health department for their lack of cleanliness and black mold in their float tubs. I would not recommend this place unless they (literally) CLEAN UP THEIR ACT.

Must say I've been to many spas and have to say I was really impressed with everything this had to offer. Besides a great ambiance and amazing staff, they really make you feel at home. Just has a great community feel. I got the Body Cleanse Footbath and was surprised at two things. How much came out of my body and how great I felt afterwards. Will definitely do again next time I'm in Denver.

I called to make an appt for a couples package and was told I had to go online to book the reservation. After a made an account, I found it was not user friendly and could not book the package I wanted, so I called again. The receptionist was very friendly and and booked it for my two grand daughters. When we arrived only one reserervation was listed and the receptionist could not get us in for another week. Said she would have the manager get back with me on this...Im still waiting.

My husband and I had a massage here. We had a great time. This was our first stop on our weekend getaway. We had a 2 hour massage, including foot soak, facial, etc. We ordered mimosa's and had wonderful chocolates. Even after our massages we were allowed to take showers. Super awesome customer service and GREAT massages. Would recommend anyone to come here.

I will be seeing her for a combination of therapies to reach my goals but my first experience was great - a very thorough intake and pleasant treatment. Also the wellness center is really beautiful! I look forward to coming here for all my wellness needs.

Did a spa special 90 minute which was heaven. I’ve never had a massage where they put hot towels on your back, feet and under your head! It was so nice with some essential oils. We added the foot detox soak last minute which they accommodated and was super cool! We felt like a million bucks after. It’s SO affordable and has so many people. Can’t wait to make this my new ‘spot’

I have been going to New Spirit for years and have had every service they provide. I have never had a bad massage and Amber (esthetician) is wonderful. If you like floating, cool but it is not my thing so no real opinion on that aspect. I do like the infrared sauna but do not the location. It is in the middle of the sitting area where customers sit for foot detoxes or when they are waiting for other services (not the lobby). It was hard to fully relax while watching the staff walk back and forth from the supply room and having a women partake in her foot detox across form the sauna window. It might be that this is the only place they could put the sauna which is unfortunate.

This story starts off bad but ends well. I went in for some R&R after fighting cancer for the past year. My wonderful husband gave me a gift card from New Spirit. I have been going there since it was a very small spa down the street. I had not been there in over a year and was very much looking forward to my session. I got a room downstairs the room next to mine was so loud it was hard for me to relax. When my session was complete I went to the front counter to pay. There were two women standing and one asked how everything went. I told her about my experience not looking for a refund. I only wanted to inform them so the next person would have a better experience. That’s when one woman said to comp my session she would take care of it and would not not let me pay she insisted and gave me the refund. I was so grateful I still tipped for the session because the massage was amazing. I have always referred to New Spirt and will continue to do so. I work with hundreds of customers in my line of work and will continue to let my brides and grooms know how awesome you are. Super clean, modern, private, comfortable, and top notch customer service -- all the things you want in a spa. They make you feel right at home. The epsom salt in the tanks also has therapeutic benefits for the skin. Can't recommend this place more. Go float there.

I have been twice here and I love the tanks and the staff. But, don't expect to get 1hr floats. But, they'll surely charge you for an hour. Usually on an one hour visit I'll get 30-40 mins of float time. Which is due to having to shower before and after your float. They assured me on multiple occasions that 1 hr float is the exact float time. I paid to receive your services and you failed to do that.

My time at A New Spirit was exactly what the doctor ordered! Loved the welcoming zen, and kind service upon entering. I was offered a neck warmer which was the perfect transition to relaxation. After a wonderful deep tissue massage by Dana (who was amazing with her touch!!) my husband and I experienced an hour in the salt water float tanks. It was a perfect floating meditation. I came to A New Spirit yesterday 3/21/14, for a prenatal massage. I am currently 6 months pregnant and have been suffering miserably from back ache, leg cramps, sore shoulders, swollen ankles, the whole nine that comes with pregnancy. I went to massage envy for my last massage about a month ago and I thought it was ok, but I wanted to see what else was available. I called every place listed and A New Spirit was the only place that could get me in. They were very polite on the phone and got me in with in an hour of my phone call. When I arrived and entered the building I was immediately greeted and offered water, and a comfortable place to fill out my paperwork. The whole place smelled very pleasant and relaxing. Within five minutes the therapist assigned to me came and got me and took me back, we talked about what my needs were and a couple oil options. ( being pregnant some smells just make me so sick). She helped me decide on the citrus scent which was so nice. She explained to me all of the things and pressures that are ok to use during pregnancy (something the dude at massage envy knew nothing about). During my massage she was very quiet which I love, she mad sure I was perfectly comfortable, she made sure that the techniques and pressures were what I was needing. After the massage I was offered chocolate, and I really felt cared for. Not only was the massage amazing, but the atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered, not to mention this place was unbelievably affordable compared to the others that I called. I woke up this morning feeling so refreshed. (the day after massage envy I was more sore than before the massage :( I am so pleased that I finally got a good night sleep with no pain. I am so impressed with this place I will absolutely come back, and I just wanted all the pregnant women who suffer like me to know that there is relief!!!! I also can not wait to deliver this baby so I can go try all of their other services! You guys rocked! Thank You for that!

Massage was nice and would come back again for that! Was really disappointed in the inferred sauna and will not be returning for that service. The sauna was in the corner of a lounge area where other people were chatting and having other treatments done. Zero privacy and wasn’t the most relaxing. Temperature wasn’t nearly hot enough, I even raised it all the way and within the full 30 minutes, it only raised 1 more degree. I’ve never seen a sauna without the colored lights either. (I really like the lights for my hormonal acne problem) Overall the spa was super nice and loved the people working, but will try somewhere else for the sauna.

Diana Horowitz is by far the best acupuncturist in Denver I've met.She has treated me for the big and small, from sluggish feeling and energy needs to pain in my shoulders, neck, back and feet. Yes, I admit it we all have aches and pains and are looking for help and I wanted help for my whole body. She's patient, kind, detailed. She always take the first ten minutes to talk to me and look in my eyes and ask questions. Before any treatment she describes what she is going to do.From cupping, needle work, tuning forks, B12 injections, Traumeel injections she is gentle. She is open to using her treatments in combination with western medicine and other eastern medicine practices. She is empathetic, sincere and loooves her work as a healer. She gives life and health suggestions without pressure or judgement.It goes without saying I totally trust her. She runs on time, is affordable and her office space inside New Spirit is comfortable and welcoming. Oh and she is so funny!! You won't be disappointed!!

I'll start out by saying my first experience here a few months ago, which was also the first time I was in a flotation tank, was amazing. I went back today for a two hour appointment in one of their tanks, and it was horrible. I scheduled it yesterday (Friday) and the woman who scheduled me seemed very worried that I was scheduling a two hour appointment and thought that maybe I wouldn't come in. She hinted that they were busy, and I remarked that I could do it another time, but then she assured me it was okay and we scheduled it. Then a few hours later another woman called me to confirm, and asked again if it was a problem, and she insisted it wasn't although she also seemed very concerned me coming in. So, I came in today, and both women working there were visibly stressed out. When I got in to the tank, unlike the previous time, it was uncomfortably sauna-like hot. I could really only stand about an hour in it at that temperature. I wonder if they made it that hot to try and get me to leave? Either way, I paid them for two hours and left, and I probably won't be coming back. I'm not sure if it was a bad day, or maybe if they didn't like me, or whatever, but it was bad times. I hope some place else in

I really, really want to like this place. I've been here three times total, the first experience was probably the best, however during my massage I could hear the staff shuffling around and stomping up and down the stairs. I figured maybe it was just a one time thing, but it was the same for my second experience. I could hear staff members' conversations word for word through the walls. I gave this place another shot recently, after about a year of staying away, this time booking my massage in the evening thinking it might be less busy and therefore less noisy. I was definitely wrong; it almost seemed as though the staff was louder because it was so close to closing. I'm honestly very surprised that the noise level hasn't really been mentioned in the reviews. Maybe I'm the weird one that just likes silence when I'm getting massaged and no one else is bothered by all the noise, I don't know. But I think after 3 attempts here I'm just going to find another spa.

I've been going here for about 3 years or so. I have been a regular at both locations. I have an autoimmune condition and the infrared sauna is part of my regular routine to try to battle this. The staff is always very friendly and I love the amenities. I love that they have fresh robes, wraps, towels and fruit water for my experience. I've been to many other "spas" and they don't even compare. I love the relaxed, Buddhist influenced vibe here and the positive energy that I can feel when I walk in through the door. I recommend this place to all of my friends. On my birthday every year I try to do a package deal with a massage, sauna and sometimes a float if there is time. I always feel welcomed here and it is a essential part of my healing.

I’ve floated at several places and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. The tank was smelly, old, and certainly not dark enough to be considered sensory deprivation. It was essentially a large bathtub with a cheap plastic shell over it. Half way through I had to get out because the water was so hot it made me nauseous and the musty smell doubled the issue. The person at the desk asked me “Did you get too hot in there?” which means they know it’s an issue and don’t seem to care. Float tanks are amazing but not all are created equal.

We stopped here to try the oxygen bar and it was really nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful! I wished we would have had the time and money to check out some of their other offerings! When we walked in the lady actually told us that they had shut off the oxygen bar for the day but went ahead and started it again for us since we were leaving town right after. She got us situated and showed us what to do, made us tea and gave us neckwarmers. Great service! The bar is in the lobby so we got to see all the people coming and going, but it may have been nice if this was a little more secluded. It was still very relaxing and I still say 5 stars for sure!

I love this place! As someone with fibromyaglia I have always used massage as pain management but since moving to Denver I have has 4 massages that have hurt me. So I gave up. Until, I met Nancy! We went here on 2 different occasions and we were pretty bummed that we didn't enjoy either time floating here. the staff was nice. but the float tanks are not private so unless you go with your significant other or a best friend you don't mind possibly seeing naked then you run the risk of a stranger seeing you naked and vice versa, and also if they are loud or making noise it can interupt your float. the room is too cold especially if your a girl and part of your boobs stick out of the water makes it even more uncomfortable. the water is not the right temperature. my first time the water was so cold i was shivering my entire float. the second time we went we switched tanks and i was in the other tank they have which wasn't as cold as the other but not as hot as it should be. AND my tank was dirty!!!!! it had some sort of plastic wrapper or something floating around in it which totally sealed the deal on not coming back here again. it's a shame cause it seems like a nice place and the staff seemed nice both times but i would never float here again even if i was offered a free one. This place has a lot of potential to be a great float center but until they do some big changes and get the privacy thing down and the temp of the room and water i wouldn't give it another shot.

I took my wife here for a second time to try a prenatal massage. My wife really loves this place and their massage therapists. The first time she went here she told me it was the best massage she ever had. Some added bonuses are that they're reasonably priced and have convenient online booking as well. We will definitely come back.

I see Amber at a New Spirit every month for a facial. She is an absolute joy to go see and does an amazing job. The facility is nice and I've had a couple of other services there as well. The price is so much better than just about anywhere else I have been and the array of services is great if you need to check yourself in for the day. They also have a rewards program which is very helpful if you are a regular.

My group of friends and I went here for a relaxing day after a Bachelorette party the night before and everything about this place was wonderful! The staff was welcoming and walked us step by step through each process because most of us had never experienced a facial or float session before. The space is huge and very clean. They offered us complimentary tea/flavored water/champagne and were very accommodating for our large party. This is the only spa I will be going to from now on. I highly recommend!

Very nice spa. Staff is very friendly and down to earth. Environment is very welcoming. My wife and I had the two hour couples massage and facial and it was very enjoyable. Our therapists were fantastic. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for any sort of spa treatment. Great location with parking too!
