Never been so scrubbed in my life. Basically have brand new skin! Pink salt room was good but could be more salty. Clay balls room had just the right amount of clay and balls. Sauna was hot! Be care qu’elle! Five stars.

THIS SPA IS ANAZING, would highly recommend. This was my first experience at a spa, and it went above and beyond my expectations. My friend and I arrived 30 mins before our exfoliating body scrub, and we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff, who showed us around the spa. We put our stuff in lockers and got undressed (no bathing suits allowed). We were able to get through most of the services before our scrub. General service is $35 and includes the sauna, hot tub, cold tub, stone room, salt room, and steam room. We payed $60 total which included general services and the scrub service (so an extra $25). The scrub was incredible. It definitely felt a bit rough for someone who's never done a scrub like that before, but it really did remove all my dead skin on my body. I mean, I could see it all on the table. They use one of those exfoliating gloves and really get every inch of your body. They also apply massage oil after you get scrubbed down, and give your a quick massage. Lastly, they'll finish the service with a hair wash! My skin felt so so soft after, I couldn't stop touching it. I loved how they added in a mini massage and hair wash at the end. All the ladies at the spa were so nice and sweet. What I loved most about this place was the small details. For example, the vanity room was stocked not only with hair and body products and hair tools, but also snacks, fruit, tea, and water. They also give you a towel and a cute little robe to wear around the place. When we were all finished and about to leave, they even gave each of us a face mask! All these things really made this place exceed my expectations. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

So relaxing!! Remember to get there 90 mins - 2 hours before your service so that you can enjoy the amenities before. They have a clay and a salt room upstairs. I like to start there. They also have a hot tub, a cold tub, a sauna and a steam room. They also have teas, snacks, and great product for your body and hair after your service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

I liked how they let you leave clothes on. Some Korean spas do not allow you to wear clothes. The workers are super friendly, and the massage therapists are super motherly. It was a great experience, but definitely something to do with people closest to you. You get to know your friends on a personal level. Very cheap for the service and amenities they give. You we got there at 11 AM and stayed until 4, all for 90 dollars. We got to go to a Himalayan salt room, clay room (which was amazing) sauna and steam room with herbal oils. I also loved how it was women's only, so it was very comfortable.

I was in San Francisco for one night and did not think I was going to be able to squeeze in a scrub and massage. Pearl Spa was absolutely phenomenal. The service and amenities were impeccable. I recommend this place to anyone who needs to be scrubbed, massaged and cared for. I will definitely be going back.

I came here with some friends and I was truly impressed with the facilities. It is located in Japan town and parking can be a challenge, but there's the Japan Town Center garage across the street that cost us about 10 bucks for about 2 hours. I know pricey but worth not stressing over parking. You enter a well decorated room and are greeted by very friendly staff. Lee the manager was very nice and always greeted us when we passed her. I've done a couple Korean spas that the visitors are noisy. This was not the case, people really respected the quiet and the peace of others. The facilities were very clean and smelled really nice. They have free snacks and tea available for you. For $70, I got a 45 minute massage and it included my entry into the spa and they give you 2 face masks to go in the end. I would say it was definitely worth the money. Next time I will definitely stay longer.

When I first took a tour of this place and was told that it was a traditional Korean spa were nudity is expected, I bristled as a Catholic Asian with lots of body shame. I kept asking if it would be okay for a guest to keep a bathing suit or something on but the lady was insistent that it would be weird and against their policy. Curious about the experience anyway (thanks to Conan and Steven Yeun), I booked a body exfoliation and hot oil treatment with them. You get full access to the spa with any service appointment, or can pay $35 for a day pass. They have a steam room, dry sauna, hot tub, cold pool, clay ball room, salt room, and high pressure showers. You can leave all your stuff in one of the full length lockers they assign each guest, and it opens with the waterproof wrist keyband programmed to the lock. You can't wear in your shoes but they loan you a pair of Asian plastic slippers for use past the lobby. They also have a powder room stocked with toiletries, hair dryers, tea, and light snacks. The exfoliation felt divine and very relaxing - not the Guantanamo Bay torture depicted on Conan. When my husband met up with me after work at our daughter's daycare he said I was glowing, and I believe him because I felt so peaceful and happy for a few days afterward (which is saying a lot because I was in the middle of audit season at work and have a one year old).

I've been to many Korean spas in many different cities....Part of the reason behind 4 stars is that I have a certain level of expectation when it comes to Korean spas.. To begin with I've got to say that the staff is GREAT! Friendly, accommodating, polite, and in general very service oriented. They make sure you are well settled, show you around and give you a very comprehensive tour. The place is spotless and I will definitely go back; however, I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 due to my scrub experience being one of the worst I've ever had.... The lady was very tight with the material used and very soft though I had explicitly asked for a firm and reminded her many times.. After nearly 30 minutes , there was still no dead skin coming off.... Now some other differences you may notice here: - Unlike other Korean spas, in the powder area you are required to wear a robe ( Which of course they provide ) - The space is limited and there are only two additional rooms - Salt and Clay - There is no cafe nor a giant coed area - There is a limit on how many hours you can spend here - Which is fine just unusual / different Overall I will definitely go back as I enjoy the cleanliness of the place and the great customer service

I loved my visit to Pearl Spa. Highlights include the salt room, the clay ball room, and the scrub. Pro tip: Pass on the massage. You're getting massaged in a really loud area (next to the hot tub and saunas) so you're constantly hearing the loud noises associated with people showering, dropping things, and talking. It just isn't tranquil. So get your relaxation on in the different saunas and get your skin feeling fresh with a scrub and then go somewhere else for a tranquil massage.

I ♥️ this spa. I never met Korean before. However my first impression from this spa, Korean know how to live life fully. I am always greeted kindly at the door. The spa is never full and yet I don't find it hard to be fully naked. This is a strictly ladies spa. I love the Aveda tea and my most favorite is my oil massage. The ladies are all strong and good in massage. If you want deep tissue, please mention at the reception. Go to this place regularly and life will feel in ease.

I was entirely unprepared for this visit. If you are shy or embarrassed, this is not the place for you. Everyone is naked everywhere except staff of course. My friends and I each got body scrubs. We also spent a lot of time in the hot tub, clay ball room, and Himalayan salt room. The scrub was amazing and they washed our hair and faces as well. Be forewarned, they are very thorough with the scrubs. Very. The facilities were very clean and maintained in excellent condition. They provide various hair products, lotions, hair dryers, and snacks. The staff was professional and incredibly kind. I would definitely return if I were in the area again. I feel like I got a good value for my money.

I don’t think there are enough words in the english dictionary to describe my amazing experience here. The women at the front desk were extremely friendly and accommodating. This place gets booked so if you want to enjoy the spa, call first and put your name down! They have all Aveda products which made me super excited. In the actual bath area they have several curtained showers and seated wash stations. There was a hot pool and a cold plunge pool. The steam room was lovely and had a mister you could turn on and off. The salt rooms were super relaxing and the lounge area was tranquil. For $35 dollars it’s definitely worth the money. 1) Very Clean - They drain the pools daily! - Huge for me 2) Lovely spa area 3) Lovely roasted corn tea 4) Friendly staff 5) Beautifuluk Decor 6) Snacks 7) Quality Aveda Products Don’t even think twice!

Wow wow wow! What an absolutely amazing experience. My sister and I booked the 60 minute scrub and massage. I was pleasantly surprised that that also included a mini facial and they wash your hair! We booked the first appointment in the morning (which I highly recommend because it’s quiet and we were the only ones in the hot tub, clay room and salt room). Everything here is so clean and spotless and the staff is really friendly. I also love that they use Aveda products. We spent about 2.5 hours here but could have stayed longer if we didn’t have somewhere we needed to be! My favorite part (besides the scrub and massage) was the clay ball room - I have never experienced anything like it. It was the most relaxing thing I have ever laid in. I could have easily fallen asleep. After everything, we showered again, used their Dyson (!!) hair dryers and then took advantage of all the aveda skin and hair products. Oh and when you leave, they give you complimentary face masks! I will definitely be back!!

Loved the 90 min shiatsu swedish massage I got. Arrived 30 minutes early to shower and used their hot tub cold dip. Just enough to get some relaxation and cleaned up before the really comfortable total body massage. She was very attentive and adjusted pressure appropriately per my request. She worked hard for the entire 90 minutes. I can't wait to go back to try the total body scrub and use the different mineral rooms. I love their skin and hair product. I would've stayed another hour if I didn't have dinner plans right after. So worth the money for the experience. Everything was super clean just like everyone had commented on. Easy online appointment scheduling. Can't have enough good things to say about this place. Can't wait to go back again soon.

Had the best spa day here with my sister!! It was both of our first times at a jjimjilbang and it certainly won't be our last. We booked the oil and scrub treatment ($90, 60 minutes), but arrived about an hour before our appointment to get changed out of our clothes and enjoy the tubs and saunas included with the treatment. The facilities are very new and clean, and they have many different amenities for you to enjoy (hot tub, cold tub, dry sauna, wet sauna, clay room, salt room, different types of shower stalls, electronic lockers, water and small snacks). The two women at the front desk were very nice, and they periodically walk around the building to clean up and restock items. Be warned that tip is cash only, although they do accept card payment. If you forget cash like I did, rest assured there are two banks and at least one atm within a block of the spa. The treatment itself was nothing short of amazing! I was scrubbed within an inch of my life (in a good way), and I felt crazy clean afterwards. You will be very well taken care of by the ladies doing the scrubbing! They have some powerful massaging hands (don't be fooled by their age) and they also wash your hair and give you a mini facial. It was the best kind of pampering you could imagine and I can't wait to go back. The price is so worth the service, treatment, and amenities you receive. I can't recommend this place enough!

The staff was warm, friendly and helpful, and the facilities peaceful, lovely and sparkling clean. My masseuse, Lee, was pitch perfect in the amount of pressure she applied, both during the skin scrub and the massage. She was simply wonderful!

Ahhh, I just slept 11 hours after my day at Pearl spa it left me so unbelievably and utterly relaxed. The women at the front were so friendly and accommodating, we couldn’t schedule a service so they penciled is in when we arrived for 5 pm. After switching things up they moved us up to 2:30 pm so we weren’t waiting 3.5 hours for our massages. The space is so beautiful and peaceful with everything you need to shower, from shampoo to brushes and the oil for your dead ends to lotion. With the option of open showers and curtained showers the space is a very freeing judgment free feel with friendly women of all kinds just trying to do the same thing as you, relax and reset. The downstairs wet room consisted of not only showers but the jacuzzi that can comfortably fit 8, the dry sauna, steam room and scrub/massage room. My massage was very deep and intense as I asked for, how such a small women had such strength was beautifully astonishing. The scrub left my entire body feeling like a baby’s (clean) butt lol My favorite room of all was the clay pit room rolling onto the clay glass and allowing them to form my body as I laid on my back was so relaxing and not too hot. The Himalayan salt room is a close second with breath and mind clearing airs and aura. Looking forward to returning! Thanks Lee for your help and Monica for the massage, see you soon!

Highly recommend! The two women who work up front were amazing! They were so kind and enthusiastic, it really brightened the experience from the get go. One woman stayed in the spa area and without prompting she adjusted our appointment times for us to enhance our experience. She taught us how to get the most out of their incredible facilities too. What an experience! I scrub with oil application, facial and hair washing was to die for. I am Soo over the moon about the whole experience! The only thing is after a delicious lunch in Japan Town I'm useless for the rest of day, I'm so Zen!

On a Friday afternoon during heat wave at 1pm during their slow time this woman with short hair and muscular physique was rejected. I treked 1 hour to get here and clearly stated so when they rejected me based on my appearance alone! Definitely feel discrimination is at hand. No way this place was overbooked as check in data clearly showed slow. sad because only clay ball room in town. Not a friendly place if your not super feminine.

They are GREAT!! I will definitely be coming back and getting another scrub. The employees are super polite and when they can, they're extra accommodating. First time there and got there 30 minutes early to soak in the hot tub, hit the sauna and steam room. In hindsight, I should have gotten there a bit earlier to enjoy everything they offer but it was still a great time relaxing and soaking. I got the scrub and my skin feels so fresh and clean now. I like that they offer lotion and some hair supplies for when you're done. Definitely recommend getting their scrub your skin will thank you!!

I celebrated my birthday here with my four girlfriends and oh my GOSH it was glorious!! They treated us like royalty. They gave us the private locker room upstairs and showed us what to do every step of the way with big smiles and welcoming spirits. The facilities are immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The body scrub and oil treatment was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I felt like a new woman after. So soft and refreshed! The whole experience was incredible. My friend and I scheduled for a massage but the massage therapist was running late, so the owner let us used the general facilities (sauna, shower, salt room, etc), which is usually around $25, free of charge! I've been to Imperial, which is about a block away, but I think Pearl will be my day spa of choice going forward. I love that they give you free face masks and their clay room is like a grown up ball room. The salt room is also made up of pieces of Himalayan rock salt, which is nice. They have the requisite hot and cold tubs, steam room, and sauna. The scrub I got was the basic level scrub, but they still gave a mini-massage and washed my hair. Plus in the space where you get ready to leave, they have tons of Aveda products for usage, not to mention snacks, water, and a couple kinds of tea.

Amazing first spa experience! I went to celebrate my 21st birthday with one of my friends and the service and facility were AMAZING! The facility itself was very clean (it was almost constantly being wiped down with a swifer) and quiet. I had a scrub+oil massage and it was MORE than worth the $90+tip I paid. Mimi was very gentle with my back when I mentioned I had scoliosis. She also removed more dead skin that I thought was possible (I do an at-home scrub every week but Mimi was removing ERASERS of dead skin off!). Now my skin feels as smooth and supple as I was when I was 5! The second floor is great for relaxing and the dimly lit lights were perfect for sitting back and drinking some of the hot tea or cold water provided downstairs (although I would recommend bringing a large tumbler or thermos if you like to drink a lot of liquids since only small sample cups are provided for tea and water). The snacks available when I went included fresh apples, oranges, bananas, bagged jam cookies, Famous Amous cookies, cheese-its, and Nature Valley chewy granola bars. The experience is similar to going to a Japanese onsen. This place does not allow for swimsuits so I wouldn't recommend this place for those that are not comfortable being naked around others (although they provide robes for walking around, the salt and clay rooms and the pools and tubs need to be entered naked). I was very hesitant to go and spend money on a spa, but this was worth every penny.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Yes, it is nude, but you completely forget about it once you are there. The staff is all so professional and friendly. The spa is so clean, you feel so relaxed everywhere. The hot tub is very hot, followed by the cold pool is amazing. There are also snacks and Korean green tea for you to have while you are there if needed. I got the body scrub and I've never felt softer. I can't wait to come back.

The best spa experience EVER! From the moment I walked in the door their friendly staff made me feel at ease. I really thought being fully naked i would feel uncomfortable but it didn't at all. We had the chance to fully enjoy the sauna before our Scrub & Oil Massage. The Scrubbing was OFF THE CHAIN, they literally pealed off a layer of my skin but it felt soooo GOOD, then she did the oil massage OMG that was sooo good. To finish off, they gave me a quick facial and washed my Hair (I was in heaven). I will definitely be back over and over again.

Get scrubbed at pearl and you will leave with your skin so soft it feels damp. For my first visit, I opted for a oil massage and scrub; 30 min scrub, 30 min massage, which came with bonus face mask + hair wash. The oil massage was just ok but the scrub was great and removed more dead skin cells than I thought possible. This is not for the shy or faint of heart but the ladies who work there are kind and do their best to make you feel comfortable. In contrast to Kabuki Springs, Pearl is more fun and festive and would be a fun place to go with friends.

What a horrible time. Keep asking ok every 5 min. If u ask where a smoking area is, the owner said, there is another sauna which is Kabuki closed from here. She doesn’t even want to be asking. Lol. Horrible business mind.

My new favorite Korean spa in the city! This spa is very clean and there is plenty of room to relax. The owner Tracy and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and they give you pretty spa robes to wear. The vanity is stocked with Aveda products and fresh fruit. I like that the spa is women only. My favorite room is the Himalayan salt room and the clay ball room ( feels like an acupressure massage ) . Could spend all day here easily. I'll definitely be back soon :)

Wow, just...wow. I’ve been to plenty of Korean spas and this is an excellent one. The interior is beautifully decorated and the service wonderful - the staff have thought of everything. Facilities are clean, snacks are provided, and the face and hair products are brand name. The body scrub is my go to. It deeply exfoliates your whole, and I mean whole, body, and you can see all your dead skin sloughing off. Very satisfying. They’ll wash your hair during the experience so there’s not need to do it beforehand. At the front desk afterwards, the lady commented on how glowy and pink we looked and gave us sheet masks :))) I felt so taken care of. If you book any service, bring cash so you can tip your masseuse. They’ll give you an envelope after you’re done and you bring it to the front. There’s an ATM if you need it. Reservations are required and it’s typically hard to get in on a Friday or weekend evening, so book in advance on their website. You can also try calling day of in case they have free spots.

I would like to rate this place for 7-stars. The facility is so modern, clean and the staff are so kind and caring. Their scrub and massage are excellent. They use really nice brand and good lotion, shampo, soap and great ointments for their clients. This facility has dry and wet sauna, hot and cold jacuzzi, clay room and salt room. I have tried different massage facilities but pearl spa and sauna is number 1 in my list.

Perfect way to end two work weeks! The staff is very friendly and May was excellent. I feel so clean and goodbye dead skin!! I have been to other places before but with less amenities and services. My friend and I decided to celebrate a milestone birthday together in San Francisco. Our morning at the Pearl Spa was definitely a highlight. From the minute we walked in until we walked out we were pampered and welcomed. I had a scrub and a massage and it was heavenly. We also enjoyed the hot pool, the sauna and the salt room. I highly recommend this spa.

It's not everyone's cup of tea but oh my, if you are into value treatments and clean, comfortable bath house. This is the place. Besides jacuzzi (hot and ice cold), steam room, sauna, they have a clay ball room (muscle relaxation) and Himalayan salt room (detoxifying.) Entry to bath house is included with a scrub treatment that leaves you baby butt level smooth EVERYWHERE. I never knew my ankles could feel like that. Being comfortable with nakedness is prerequisite for this place, but honestly worth the value in price and service. Yes, it is women only club. Protip: bring cash to tip your scrub technician!

Really like this place. Booked online but it’s not working so please book by calling them. Ladies there are super nice and we feel well welcomed there. I am a little shy at first but ladies encouraged me to not be shy. Massage is good. Service and facilities are great. No need to bring anything just yourself and some clean clothes maybe. That’s a great place to relax and hang out with girls.

Wonderful Spa! The first time was a nicer experience then the second time though. Mainly because the massage and full body scrub was done much better the first time. The second time it was a hard massage that was actually painful and the scrub was not as invigorating as the first time. I should have requested the same woman from my first visit but I could not find the card with her name written and I did not see her there when I went back. It is a wonderful spa though and I did enjoy it but I would not go back to the second massage therapist as she was also not the most polite.

Beautiful interior with exquisite additions to your normal Korean Spa like a Himalayan salt room and clay room, with explanations about how each affects your skin, circulation and overall health. The women women working there are very sweet and will leave you refreshed and with the softest skin.

My favorite spa! It's affordable and a truely lovely experience! The spa is women only and fully naked. I first took my best friend here for her birthday. We had such a lovely time that we returned for my birthday! Both times I got a treatment and enjoyed the korean spa experience! I'd recommend this place to all my friends and hope to visit again the next time I'm in San Francisco!!

Amazing service and treatment. Han did an excellent job on my scrub and massage. Will definitely be going back to see her. I loved the salt and mud rooms. The steam room was a perfect temperature and the cold plunge pool wasn't too cold. I enjoyed the ambiance and experience. Make sure you allocate plenty of time prior to treatments to enjoy the amenities.

My first time in a Korean bathhouse and I am glad I picked the scrubbing session - a traditional Korean beauty secret sauce! It felt strange at first but you would love your skin and the relaxation after it. The place is clean and supplies facial lotion, snacks, Korean roasted tea, and fruits including mandarin oranges. For $60, I had scrubbing, hot tub, clay room sauna, himalaya salt sauna, lots of relaxation, and a green tea mask to takeaway! What a good price and service. Come during the weekdays and nights as weekends look very booked! Keep hydrated afterwards to flush all the toxins out!
