AMAZING! My husband and I had a couples message for our anniversary. I have been suffering from lower back pain for 1 1/2 years. Robert knows his anatomy. When I got home I noticed a big improvement. I went to bed thinking, wow, did this really work. I woke up and was able to get out of bed without holding on to anything and without pain. I was able to stNd up from a sitting position and when laying on the ground, both without support. I have not been able to do this for a very long time. The pain isn't completely gone but I have mobility without severe pain. I will be returning again soon.

Super-highly recommended! My two besties and I decided to have a "trouple" massage and we each came out feeling like noodles, claiming it was the best massage we'd ever had. Two of us live in LA, and the other was visiting from Tacoma, but it is quite tempting even being a couple hours away to not want to visit at least once a month! My personal masseuse was Hayley, and I can't say enough wonderful things. She asked me about specific things about what was bothering me in my problem areas and took great care to concentrate there. I'm a fairly small person at 5' and 100 lbs, so I feel like most masseuses are afraid to get in real deep because they don't want to hurt me - I said I wanted her to be really firm and she definitely delivered. I have never had a better massage!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience here. I woke up, feeling like a giant ball of stress and started calling massage places. (Mind you, I even called another place in Big Bear, and weeks later they still haven't called me back.) For Altitudes, I booked my appointment the same day, and the service they provided was above and beyond. Kathy was amazing, she took the time to listen to where I needed focus, and checked in with me on pressure (which she was perfect on.) The rooms are very very nice inside, with fireplaces and heated massage tables. I will be back every time we are in Big Bear! Absolutely amazing service.

While on a family vacation I decided to indulge in the spa experience at Altitudes Message & Spa. Chelsea (the owner) was very patient and helpful when I called to schedule an appointment. Walking in, I found the atmosphere very clean and inviting. Water feature in the waiting area, comfortable seating, and a nice tea selection for your enjoyment (champagne also offered with some of the spa packages). Bridget was spot on with her massage treatment on the problem areas in my neck, back, and sciatica. The hot stones treatment topped it off. She’s a must see for anyone dealing with stress or soreness. Patty diagnosed and applied the perfect skin care treatment for me. It was a very relaxing facial, and she was very helpful with her skin care knowledge. Both ladies were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I never felt rushed while I was there and I left feeling very peaceful. Well worth the visit!!

So I was hoping to find something in Big Bear that compared... Altitudes met my expectations and more! Selia was my personal masseuse and she was exactly what I was hoping for. Her technique was what I was use to, just the right pressure and attention to the problem areas. She introduced “hot stones” to me which I’ve always wanted to try. I am an overactive guy with two speeds: On and Off. I regularly compete in surfski races, and am often found flying around on roller blades or a mountain bike, when my boat is not in the water. On a recent Friday, I paddled a borrowed Surfski 10+ miles out into 3 foot chop off Newport Beach, and then drove up to Big Bear Lake to do a little hiking. On Saturday, I did a 10 mile hike up to 10k feet. On Sunday and Monday, I did two more 8+ mile hikes at around 9k feet. Oddly enough, I felt pretty tired, sore, and kinda beat up. Then I found Big Bear Mobile Massage, and treated myself to the best thing I've done for me in years! Chelsea brought her gear to my house and proceeded to reset everything tight, sore, and out of balance, to better than factory specs (I swear I was 20 years younger when she finished)! She has a confident, intuitive touch and a marvelous massage-bedside manner. I felt that she really understood what my body (and spirit) needed, and she coached me with several stretches and exercises that I could do on my own, when we were done. She is a true Renaissance Woman with a master's touch, who draws on her exceptional life experiences and training to provide a massage and healing experience that fit me perfectly. I strongly recommend her to anyone - whether they be athletic overachievers, weekend warriors, or anyone ready to remember what it feels like to relaxed, at peace, and whole again. I was away in Big Bear for a few days shortly after having an accident in a parking garage where my neck was injured. I saw Miko for a healing deep tissue massage. He was so incredible that I arranged to go back the next morning before we left for Accupuncture. My neck had the first bits of relief since the accident. I have seen many massage therapists, physical therapists and Accupuncture over the years and Miko is the best! If I had the financial resources I would figure out a way to bring him to Los Angeles. Miko is an incredible healer!! I can not recommend he and Altitudes enough!

I am in my early 3rd trimester of my first pregnancy and had a wonderful prenatal massage at Altitudes Massage and Spa. They have a special foam pillow for pregnant women where you're able to lay on your belly. This was especially nice since I haven't laid on my belly in months! The masseuse was knowledgeable and catered to my needs. My ankles were so swollen before the massage and they were almost back to normal the next day! My experience last week at Altitudes was excellent - from the relaxing and soothing décor designed by Chelsea to my massage and treatment by Robert Miko. I have been experiencing soreness / pain in my arms and hands upon arising and I got good relief from Robert’s treatment. Using an app, he also showed me the skeletal structure of the neck, shoulders and arms, the role of the muscles and the path of the nerves to these areas. As a visual and analytical person, this was very helpful to me in understanding my condition. After this positive experience when I first arrived in Big Bear, I returned for a second treatment a few days later before I left. Again, Robert answered my questions and explained many things to me giving me a good idea of things I can do moving forward to address my condition. I will definitely return on my next trip to Big Bear. Great experience. Thanks! James

Altitudes Massage utilizes the purest aromatherapy brand out there: DoTerra. The experience was a wonderful delight. Euphoric for days afterwards. Excellent for pain relief. You've got to try this!

I told him deeper when he was staring and on the paper you fill out before the massage. My husband had Serin and he said it was the best ever. I've had better. Scheduling: Very easy, had to reschedule twice, done with no guffaws to be heard only cheery professionalism. Ambiance: Balmy soothing warmth with essential oils in the air. Music is standard calming dream state goodness. Massage: Rena and Selia are master masseuses with the grip strength of titans and trained know how to make any knot release. This place has become my gold standard for massage. Will continue to return here as a regular customer. Highly recommended.

I had a pulled muscle in my back and stiff neck from CrossFit and lots of driving; she fixed me right up. Worth every penny and I will be back soon. My 90 minute massage included warm packs, hot stones, aromatherapy and warm towels. Amazing!

The massage was great, but I think it was expensive. I’ve had equal to or better for half the price. Perhaps it’s the area or the look of the place? Very nice looking and clean inside, but there were issues with the music because of Pandora and that kinda killed the mood too. I’m reflecting on my experience and hope that it helps.

I was in the area on Valentines Day and was needing a relaxing/therapeutic massage while waiting on my husband to get out of work. I called around 9AM and the owner was able to accommodate me for a 1.5 hour massage with Patricia at 11AM. It was such a great experience and Patricia far exceeded my expectations. The spa is very warm, welcoming, and clean! The location was very easy to find as well. I love Altitudes Massage & Spa! I have had multiple *GREAT* massages, Acupuncture treatments and facials there. I highly recommend Chelsea, Lisa Ann, Nico and Rena as practitioners. I have had the couples massage package and it was fabulous. Perfect after a day of skiing, for us working with the Search Dogs looking for lost pets, or just because! The location is very central to all of Big Bear, located near Walgreens. There is lots of easy parking. Inside the space is lovely - clearly love went into every detail. The waiting area is very nice, and the treatment rooms are cozy and very clean. I usually get cold during massages, but they keep the rooms very warm and use heated massage table blankets. Very enjoyable. Also, they schedule massages early and late, which is great for tight schedules or after a day skiing. *Note: There is an extra charge for using your credit card - bring cash if you can. I want to go back as soon as possible for a nice, relaxing massage!

And boy did I find the right place, we did the, his and hers couple massage and it was extraordinary. April was super amazing! She is strong and gentle at the same time, very experienced! She used hot stones, and hot towels, and put lavender infused pillows all over my body! I was literally in heaven! The spa was very clean, and nicely decorated! Nice fire places are on each room, and essential oils were all over! I’m a massage therapist of 16 years myself and have never gotten a couples massage, I guess it always sounded cheesy, lol. But the room was very large and relaxing and I didn’t find it distracting having my hubby lying next to me. I saw Selia and he saw Miko. Selia was excellent, I got a deep tissue massage and I was so grateful to have all my knots worked out and she really listened to all my concerns and addressed them. And my husband really liked his relaxing massage with Miko, said it was just what he needed. I can’t wait to go back next time we are in Big Bear!
