We were charged for a service not completed and treated in a negative way. The manager made my daughter feel like she was somehow responsible for the spa treatment not working even though it was clearly either the product or the method of application. This was her first spa experience that she herself earned, she was so excited, and then unfortunately left feeling like she was to blame for it not working. They still decided to charge us for this even though we did not get a product because, "the technician worked so hard". She and the rest of my family left very dissatisfied with how they were treated. This is not how a spa should leave their customers feeling.

This studio was very disappointing to me. Their instructor turnover is high and when I mentioned that I was pregnant and wanted to know if any of the instructors had experience with poses that either should be modified or should not be done while pregnant, the response I was given was that I should do the research on my own and just start attending a beginner class. Even after having been a client for several months, by asking this important question, I was treated as if I was a first time customer with no recognition for my patronage. If the instructors are not skilled enough to be able to guide a variety of ailments or situations then I am concerned with the level of their knowledge.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary in Phoenix/Scottsdale. After a LOT of walking and hiking this day spa was exactly what we needed. We got a couples massage with CBD oil and enjoyed the saunas and hot tub. I also got a manicure. The staff were friendly and considerate and the atmosphere relaxing.

I visited a few years ago on my birthday Feb. 14th Valentine's Day. I had the body massage & liked how the rooms had the soothing sounds playing. I like the atmosphere, the professionalism & the service was Great. The prices are a little steep, but overall it was decent. ( P.S. A lil more diversity would b great too considering there are all walks of life that goes there). :-) Will you be having any package deals this year for Valentine's day?. Also, will u have the buffet again & the live entertainment this Feb. 14, 2016?

Went for a fun day of yoga, lunch and a massage. My wife and I are massage therapists and can honestly say that this is a good as it gets. We have been several times and always leave happy and relaxed.

the only complaint that i have about the lamar spa is that it's not closer to my house. i guess it's a blessing as well though... or i'd be spending all my time there... This place is RELAXING, with great amenities, friendly and experienced staff, and managed that CARES! (we had a little glitch with our reservation and both the GM and the owner emailed and called us right away to fix this little glitch. THIS is what i call GREAT service. the CARE! My wife and I go there as often as we can. yes- it's not the cheapest or the closets to our house, but if you want QUALITY, you have to look for it. Guess what? - we found it!

I received a massage at Spa Lamar from Tammy M. and it was absolutely transformational! Her technique was very intuitive and she read my body to apply the pressure that my muscles were crying out for to release tension and soreness. While Tammy gave me a deep massage, which I asked for, I have no doubt that if I was in need of a relaxing massage, she would handle that with the same intuition and care. In short, her massage and her invitation to "let go" allowed me to release the stuck tension in my muscles and facia. Spa Lamar is a lovely destination for self pampering and relaxation. The therapists I have seen there have all been very concerned with meeting my needs, and the spa staff is exceptional at providing all the amenities you need to have a wonderful experience there.

So, I was interested in learning more about their wraps and what the service involved so I called twice and left messages both times. They returned my call, I missed it but they didn’t leave a message. That’s ok, I called again. I reached someone and asked if she could explain what was involved in the service. She asked if I read what was on their website, I did but couldn’t find any detail about the service. She said it was there and she was only going to read what was on the website ( I should have been turned off then by the attitude) I listened and there were 4 options for the service I was interested in. I asked if she could repeat the first service again after listening to all 4 she laughed and said you need to speak to the estitician hold on, she came back and said they would need to call me back. While I didn’t use their service after that experience I wouldn’t....what ridiculously poor customer service. The person couldn’t be bothered with my questions and that’s ok because I can’t and wouldn’t recommend anyone be bothered with using this spa.

Wow! I can't express enough what a wonderful experience I had. I booked a spa day here for my two girlfriends and I for a little staycation/girls getaway. The entire staff, from the gentleman showing us around, to my estheticians (facial and nails) and massage therapist were nice, friendly and very professional. We brought our own snacks and beverages to enjoy at the gorgeous pool/jacuzzi and they brought everything out in chilled buckets and cute trays. We had the best time and I will definitely be going back. Thank you to the entire Lamar staff for such an amazing experience and relaxing day :)

Fantastic quality and customer service. I have nothing but great things to say about Spa Lamar, and it's my "go-to" place for massages. I fully recommend them for a quality and well-valued massage. It's worth it. Great location just north of Fashion Square. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They will explain everything, especially if it is your first massage.

Most amazing experience! I loved my massage from Karen. I used the eucalyptus Steam room and Jacuzzi and ended my day with a delicious Lunch. I got the Blueberry pesto sandwich and it was so good! I can't wait to come back to Spa Lamar!!!

From the moment my husband and I walked in the door we were treated well. Heidi gave us a tour before my husband left me for a birthday spa day. Each of the practitioners made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Lunch was delicious and I even had time to use the whirlpool, pool, sauna, and steam! If you're looking for a place to relax, Spa Lamar is well worth the value. I'll be back for sure!

My boyfriend and I went to Spa Lamar yesterday for a spa day. Their massage sessions, unlke other places, are ten minutes shorter than the the standard, for example 50 minutes instead of 60, 80 instead of 90. That doesn't stop them, however, from charging almost double prices compared to other massage places we have been to. Yet the quality of my massage was mediocre, probaby the worst deep tissue massage I have received in many years as the "deep" component of the therapy was almost non-existent. My boyfriend stated his therapist started out fine, until about half way into the session when that very important "deep" component evaporated as well. While booking over the phone, we agreed to their suggesion for a lunch, an additional $20.00 per person. We knew that was expensive, but decided to go ahead and do it as we work hard over the year and wanted to be treated with a nice lunch whle there. We were given menus up front, and while there was a vegan choice, which we appreciated, each of us could only choose a sandwich or a salad. $20.00 per person mind you. We chose one sandwich and one salad that we decided to split between each other. They deliver the lunch from elsewhere and at first told us it would be there at 11.30, then at 11.00 when our massage sessions were done, they said 11.45 so we diecided what to do next when all of a sudden the lunch arrived 20 minutes earlier. It was given to us in cheap plastic boxes with plasticwear! We were thinking that for $40.00 extra dollars for just a sandwich and a salad they would at least bother to provide real plates and some normal utensils, but no, plastic boxes, plastic forks, and plastic knives. Wow! Dear Spa Lamar, class is important when you charge THAT MUCH money! Their pools looked like they needed some cleaning as we saw leaves and other debris floating in and on the bottom. Finally, when I went to pay at the end of our experience, the very young lady at the register tried to charge me $10.00 extra dollars for the massages because they had agreed to combine two rooms into one by basically removing a sliding wall inbetween the rooms to make it a couples massage. I explained to her that when the theraists agreed to doing this, they did not tell me about the $10.00 extra for removing a sliding wall between two rooms. It may have been on the website, but on the spot, you want to make sure the client is well aware of the price change up front. The young lady removed that $10.00 charge once I questioned it. The point is though, you don't try to squeeze every extra dollar possible out of your cleints, and then provide mediocre service, half-cleaned pools, and lunch served in plastic boxes. It is really inappropriate.

The Spa Lamar offers so many amazing services and the accommodating staff always goes the extra mile to make your visit perfect. After my full body CBD infused therapeutic massage that was done by talented masseur Alexis, I had full access to the spas all inclusive luxuries such as steam room, sauna, swimming pool, fresh fruit and tea, and even got the option to order lunch from Mondern Market! I spent the whole day relaxing and left feeling satisfied and refreshed. The manager Ross was so kind and made sure I always had everything I needed, I really appreciated his hospitality. The Spa Lamar is the perfect place for a full day of relaxation and it is a Scottsdale staple!!!
