I am not too sure what the standards are since I’m the new gal in town, but let me tell you, the service I received today would have gotten a salon shut down in San Diego. Appointment set for 3pm, they sat my aunt and I in the pedicure chairs, cranked on the water, and forgot we existed for the next FOURTY-FIVE (45) minutes! My aunt looks over at me and even said at one point, “wow, they’re smart. They put us in the water so that way we don’t get up and leave from waiting.” < take that as a lesson learned to ALWAYS ask how long will it take for you to actually get to me. Anyways, we finally get helped and I look at the person and proceed to tell him what I need, and after he looked at me in the MOST PUZZLED WAY, i asked, umm not to sound rude, but how long have you been doing this because I am not a picky person and I feel nervous about you doing my nails now because you seem confused when what I need seems pretty clear cut. He goes and tells me his boss can handle the parts he can’t ... so why not just have her handle my pedicure? She’s just sitting there lol ... anyways, it would’ve made no difference because after she got on and messed up my toe nails even more, i realized this was a disaster and all i could do at this point was 10-66 the nail idea 100% and guide this poor child through this. Told him what to do and everything and after TWO HOURS, he finally finished my pedicure. I looked at him dead in the eye and said, please cancel the nail portion, i can’t spend the rest of my evening here. Meanwhile, the boss who should have taken action and handled my toes, had a WALK IN come in 15 minutes after and takes her, does a FULL SET on her and this girl leaves, all while my aunt and I are still waiting for these now, never ending, pedicures to conclude! And after all that, they charged me $40 for a $22 pedicure bc I asked for ‘too much’ (my big toe was chipped and I asked them to lay a little acrylic over it and square it up to match everything else). Yup. I know.
