DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER! I have enjoyed most massages I receive at Massage Envy, but you'll just be doing yourself a disservice if you become a member. Over past 18 months, paperwork has been repeatedly lost and I have continued to be charged despite attempting to close my account, and (because of the lost paperwork). Attempts to resolve over the phone unsuccessful (phone messages not reputed), and emails returned 2-3 weeks after sent. I have never received an update on the change in status of my account. Due to account moving back to active status without warning, I am now in a position where I can either pay for 2 months of unwanted service to earn the privilege of closing my account or wait 2 more months for my account to be permanently closed and blacklisted, possibly also reported to corrections. For an organization that prides themselves on reducing stress and promoting wellness, this is NOT the way to do it.

The massage itself was always really nice, but the administrative staff is terrible. They charged my card without my permission. It's to bad you have to have a credit card on file in order to have a membership. Seriously, don't leave your card information with them, it'll just cause you grief

Oh yes!!! I love Massage Evny Tikahtnu Mrs. Precious is the best. Doesn’t matter the day it’s always amazing. I have chronic low back pain and previously used daily muscle relaxers and for 2 yrs with her I haven’t needed a thing. My husband even goes from time to time :) , the management/front desk staff is always flexible and supportive to my needs and any scheduling conflicts due to my job.

Going downhill fast. 4 months ago, I loved this place. I'm looking forward to cancelling my membership now. Why? I believe that they have both oversold their membership and outgrown their facility. I used to make appointments a week in advance, then 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, now sometimes up to a month. They seem to have lost all their really good therapists. They leave (which cancels any appointments you may have) so it's back to the wait. Rooms are sometimes double booked, and used by two therapists. If the appt before you runs over, you wait. They are using facial rooms for massages, only a hanger to put your clothes on (no place for wallet, personals, etc) and a cold hard plastic chair to sit on. A regular massage room has a cushion bench with a drawer for personals. I'm not sure the reason they keep losing the good therapists, but several have left, suddenly. There are several so/so therapists. Anyone good books up so far in advance, it's a month's wait to get in. They need to expand facilities, keep membership to a serviceable number. Sorry Massage Envy, you've gone to two thumbs down.

Today i went to this location to speak with a manager. There was no acknowledgment from the 2 front desk ladies and a guy who turned out to be the manager. I stood there until someone said hello. I asked to speak with the manager, he said he was. I begin to tell him that my husband made an appt 4 wks or more out for a celebration for two his past Saturday. Someone called 2hrs before our appt & told me it was cancelled b/c the therapist was sick & didnt offer anything to assist us for later that day or set up an appt at their other Massage Envy location. The manager said ok what would you like me to do. I cant do anything about that b/c pple get sick. He didnt even offer to talk in private we stood there ar the front desk in front of the other 2 clerks. This was so unprofessional & O ws hopig to be resxheduled for another appt the same as the cancelled appt or a refund of that month's membership but nothing. I choae to cancel his membership today. Maybe its this location & team that's not up to par or caring enough about their customers. This was not the 1st time I had a cancellation for services btw...they forgot to heat the stones up for my hot stone massage a few months ago that i booked 2 months in advance & told me while i was in the waiting rm that it will be a hr before they would be hot or I can rechedule. What a mess!

I cannot say enough good things about this spa. Let me first day that I was wary of joining. Low prices on massages scare me a bit. I have come to find that low price does not mean low quality! I have a herniated disk and subsequent nerve impingement that has caused me significant pain for about a year. I've been seeing a physical therapist, a neurosurgeon and pain doctor. I began getting massages here as part of my treatment and I have not been disappointed! Bob is the therapist I normally see and he is nothing short of a miracle worker. He is extremely knowledgeable and has always customized my massage according to my current symptoms. Sadly, Bob is leaving but thankfully he recommended Jen as an alternate until he returns. I've seen a couple other therapists as well, Aleena and Cassandra, who were also great. Great thing about this place is you can try different therapists to get the perfect fit. I've seen negative reviews on Yelp and quite frankly, I don't think they are very reliable. You don't have to spend $120 for a great massage. You just need to find the right therapist. Bottom line, Massage Envy has been a life saver for me. Professional and affordable services that make massage more accessible.

When it comes to her craft, Precious is the very best; hands down! She's very knowledgeable and willing to refer you to another if she's not able to help you. She has to be one of the most time cognisant professionals we've met yet, which easily results in getting the most bang for your buck. I also must say that it's not common for a therapist to be so invested in her clients and craft that she throws together gift bags for her regulars, and even a choice between a complementary enhancement with your massage. I can certainly say, that Precious Scott as redeemed memberships here on base as well as in the local area.

I have never had a problem with them before. They are always very friendly. Today I was supposed to have a 90 minute massage and when I walked in they told me there was a miscommunication with the time and that I would only get an hour and they would comp me the 30 minutes. That was fine with me. Then when she arrives (she's a new transfer) the receptionist came back to tell me there was another miscommunication amd that she couldn't massage anyone until she took a training that everyone thought transferred over. So no massage for me today. It was frustrating especially since my appointment was at 8am and I had to get up, but they took care of me. They rescheduled me and comped the whole appointment and added on a foot scrub for free. Mistakes happen and they rectified theirs well.

The therapists and estheticians at Massage Envy are all passionate about their profession and take so much pride in doing an excellent job. They're always careful to listen and devise a plan with the client to meet all of their needs and exceed all of their expectations. The price is very fair for the quality received and the attention paid to each guest. The front desk staff and management go above and beyond to ensure that guests are happy and find solutions to problems without hesitation. The facility is clean, quiet, and comfortable and I wouldn't consider getting massaged anywhere else in Anchorage.

Just recently moved from AK to TX. I had a membership open while I was stationed at JBER, and froze my account back in February. Trying to make a long story short, I came to discover down here in TX last week when I tried to re-open my account that I had missed four payments. I called back to the store and first spoke with Courtney and she was very helpful in looking into this matter for me. I wanted to say thank you to Courtney, because I was trying to call a few times right before a staff meeting, but she did take the time to get my information, and look a little bit into the matter. It took her a little longer than a quick resolution, so she said I would get a call back within the next 24 hours about a resolution. Bre called me today and was very helpful in getting me back on track and making sure my membership was in good standing order!! She helped me make sure all my questions in regards of transferring to a new center down here were all answered. While I was up in AK, the staff was always very nice, and always made sure you were taken care of. I really wanted to say thank you so much to all the staff that's helped get this resolved, you guys really do care, and make it obvious that you care about your customer satisfaction. HUGE thank you all the way from Dallas, TX!!

Dont give them your card info! I got a membership for my wife and myself. After a few months of going I needed surgery and we canceled our memberships. That was 9 months ago. I got a random charge 1 month ago and we filed a complaint to no solution other than paying for it and receiving one service from it, along with the cancellation email. This month was charged again and person at front desk would hang up on me when I told them what was going on. Had to cancel my card and report this business.

Horrible experience. Do not do business with massage envy. I asked to transfer massages to someone else because I didn’t like their low quality massages. They refused unless I reactivated the account. The rude lady that claimed to be the manager refused to give me her name or her manager’s info. They kept charging me after I canceled my membership.

When you schedule an appointment, make sure you follow up and confirm later. It took me more than two weeks to get in for my first appointment, and when I arrived they didn't have me scheduled for that day or any other day. They scheduled me again for another week out. I am only giving them another chance because I have a gift card. I worked my schedule around the appointment I was offered, and my only compensation is hope that I can be seen next week.

My massage was wonderful. However, my massage therapist commented on my tattoos and piercings multiple times. When I was going to school for massage therapy we were always told this was a big "no no". She also kept talking about her children even though I didn't ask. She talked through my entire massage and I barely got a word in. Again, we were always told in class that if the client wants to talk they should be doing most of the talking. I did NOT want to talk and she wouldn't stop.

The customer service here is terrible. My wife called and made me an appointment and when I called in to verify nothing was ever booked. The receptionist did nothing to try to accommodate for there mess up. I tried to call back in and book an apt earlier in the day that was open she informed me that they booked it. First of all, they didn't give me the type of massage I requested and paid for, then when I asked the masseus to do what I wanted he ignored me...I asked him to stay away from my back (as I had broken it the previous year and it was still incredibly sensitive) but he ignored me and proceeded to assault my back with heavy pressure, when I asked him to ease up he responded with a mocking tone and acted like I was being rude. Then when I left I was sore (with what would turn bruises in a few days) and they forced me to leave a tip that I felt was much too high for the "service" I had received. Overall I would suggest anyone looking for a massage in the Anchorage area to look elsewhere...
