You will see the opinions of people who are buying the products of Gibson Iron & Metal, Inc. (Scrap Yards) in Wisconsin.
Now this firm receives a rating of 3.8 out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 181 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Scrap Yards corresponds to the category of Used auto parts store.
Very good selection, but the staff acts like you are inconveniencing them when you ask for ANYTHING. They are rude and really act like they don't want your business. Sorry I'm supporting your business, jerks. If you need anything except an odd part or two, I'd go somewhere else. The prices are absolutely insanely high here. $25 a piece for blown struts? New ones are cheaper!!
Really helpful guys. Great yard to get stuff.
I asked for a rear cross member with hardware. The left control arms attached. They lost the hardware and the cross member already had a good amount of rust on it. I ask for a little discount in price and they said no. Not very friendly people. Doesnt seem like they care at all.
The customer service from the gal at the front desk was horrible. She was extremely rude. As someone who isn't sure what they're doing when it comes to scrap or junking stuff, having things explained before being shouted at would have been nice.
My husband love that yunk yard
The lot is well organized and logically laid out and the prices are cheap. I've been pulling parts from Gibson's for years and have always had good luck with them.
Called in for a price quote.. its was higher than a brand new part.
They provide excellent service if you want to pick up your part. They have an option of tool renting if you want to do it by yourself and you don't have equipment. Only one thing, sometimes they don't know if they have the part I'm looking for so they have to go check at the yard and then "call me back" which sometimes happen and other times not. Overall good place with CHEAP prices but only cash.
Junked my engine after I paid for it in cash and it was marked on the receipt for then to pull the engine. They were suppose to call when it was pulled, and never received a phone call from them. I had to call them only to find out my $2,500 engine is now sitting in scrape somewhere they don't know where. Place is made of a bunch of no talent clowns.
Huge selection, semi-organized yard (GM over here, ford over here, imports over there, etc). Sometimes hard to find the car you're looking for, but the prices make up for it. I got a complete steering column and some interior panels for 50 bucks, my buddy got a bumper, 2 seats, some engine parts, and a few mic. pieces for 75 bucks. Staff can be friendly, depending on the day (if they're in a good mood, they tend to give better prices). Watch out for the young kid working the counter, he doesn't really seem to know his head from a hole in the ground, and will spend more time texting or talking on the phone than helping you (I had to wait almost 10 minutes at the counter one time, but he sold me my parts for 5 bucks so it was almost worth it I guess). Overall, I'm fairly content with this salvage yard. Scrap prices for used vehicles are what they are, I see other reviews complaining about them, but most junkyards offer the same price +/- 25 bucks - call around before you scrap a vehicle.
Very reasonable price on parts
They are very rude at the Neenah location specifically. A bunch of ass holes. I've been there many times and they don't give a rip about their customers.
Awesome online customer service! Very fast results, I asked for the vehicle to be removed as soon as possible and they came within a couple hours and took it off my hands. The man who came to pick it up was very kind, patient, courteous, and quick. Will definitely recommend it to my family and friends if they need to scrap a vehicle and will use their service in the future.
Called them and they treated me very badly over the phone to the point where I decided not to drive there.
Best place ever. No other salvage yard has the wide variety of vehicles for parts. And the people that work there are like no others, the best. Knowledgeable and hard working folks, gittin r done attitudes. Excellent place.
Always find the parts I need at the right price
Love the place. Guys are all great they're do anything for you
Awesome pick & pull auto salvage yard. You can find just about anything you want!
It's an experience you will never forget. I'll make it short and simple to review. Place is unorganized, plan lots of time to find what your looking for. In this day and age, time is money. You're better off paying a few more $ and calling Nick's to have them pull it for you for a few more $$. Staff isn't as friendly as other have reported. I've figured out if you are a gearhead and visit regularly and are also personal friends of those that work there, you get preferential treatment and prices. I'm not. For never visiting this yard before and having other experiences, I figured I would go pick a headlight and bracket for an old Ford Superduty - and a couple incidentals - bickered with the guy behind the counter, left after spending $45. Weeks later, just surfing the internet, I find the same headlight part new with free shipping for $26. Reports of those being gouged are accurate. I suggest if you need it and they may have it, please do your research online for pricing of new parts before you even venture to Gibby's This was my fault for not researching before going - lesson learned. Also, I would recommend after doing research on what you need, negotiate a price before you go out in the yard and spend the time trying to find it. This will save you lots of frustration after coming back only to find you will pay more or same for a salvaged part. Will I visit again - maybe - but only for those parts you can't get on internet and from other salvage yards. And if I have to, will research before I step foot there to find a part. It is just unfortunate local business sometimes have a culture like this but I understand this line of business. Lots of competition - but, like nowdays for many of us, it's all about the experience and customer service, many will pay a bit more for that rather than leaving with a sour taste in your mouth wondering why I just paid for that. Happy hunting in the yard - just buyer beware.... :-)
They had part I was looking for at reasonable price.
I've been taking my aluminum cans there for years now and I've always been treated very good! They answered all my questions promptly. Very clean salvage yard, well maintained.
Rude and zero chance of going back. As a plumber I will recommend any place but there
This place has a good selection and amount of cars. Staff isn't the best out there, but prices are fair. This is by far one of the better stocked yards to find parts. Overall, good place to pull parts fast. Will recommend and come back to in future.
Always have what i need...yard is very organized...
I've been here a few times, Mostly because it's convenient. One time I had them pull a strut/spring for my car. They charged me $60 and ended up cutting the bracket that held it in place. They then tried to tell me that it would be fine. Umm, no. I have kids. I had to make a big scene to get my money back, and I never even left the property! Just recently I went in for a window motor for a different car. I wad told it would be $10 plus whatever it would be for them to pull it. I went to pick it up, and they charged me a total of $40 because they claimed the motor didn't come off the resistor. Fine. I went to replace the resistor too, and they gave me the wrong one (I wanted parts for passenger side, got drivers side). 30 seconds and 3 screws later, the window motor is off and on the original resistor. They gave me a $10 credit, that's all. Bottom line, terrible customer service, they don't listen, and they try to rip you off.
Scam artists!!! Hope you get what's coming for screwing over Sadoff!
Some times it reminds me of a treasure hunt when looking for parts.
This is a great place to find the past you need . And reasonable prices.
Got charged an extra 10 bucks for 5 seconds worth of work because dude had to come over and zip off one Bolt I find that a little ridiculous but I guess whatever
They have a large yard.... Thats its for positive. Absolute jerks there, not a single drop of customer care. I have been going there for years only because I know they are the best chance I have at finding the part I need. They will be rude to your face, and have no clue about used parts pricing.... If wally-u-pull was closer and had a better selection is never come here. If u can stear clear of this place, please do.
they would not let me in with my 12 year old son i think he's old enough to not do certain things they should change the rules so its no one under 16 without a adult
Had good service at the parts department.. But the other side not so much... Blaming others of putting garbage in scrap items but the owner can put dirt and rocks in cars and get paid more for them...
I called to see how much I would get for my old car and the guy I first talked to hung up on me. The second person I talked to was rude. overall very disappointed! They won't be getting my business!
It's off the beaten path a bit , and while I was waiting to check out the lady kept answering the phone and had quite the attitude to who ever she was on the phone with obviously i dont know the story behind it , but she was very polite to me, but fair market prices and easy process
In and out great service
Excellent location for vehicle parts...
Had all the parts needed
They came and picked up my junker car and took it away no problem. They gave me more money than any other local salvage yard and they were very friendly and helpful.
The guy who takes copper and aluminum is grumpy.
I called to see if they had a window for a 2009 chevy Malibu, and they told me that a 2007 would fit. (I didn't know nothing about this type of stuff, but I assumed they knew more then me.) I went to purchase the window, only to find out that it doesn't fit. I called to tell them it didn't fit and they said "it says right on the receipt that we don't do refunds." They then go on to tell me that they would never tell me that a 2007 would fit a 2009. Very rude!!
They must strive to get the lowest rankings on the web. I bought the EXACT same part for my car a week apart and they charged 10 bucks more the next week. When I asked why the price difference the guy said, "Do you still want it or not?" This isn't the only bad experience....just the last one.
Great Selection! Cheap Prices! Friendly Staff!!!!
Went there once and I'll never go anywhere else. First time I went everyone was super helpful, didn't treat me like I'm 16, asked to see and even complamented my car! You'll never get that nice of costumer service with great prices! Recently went to wallys you pull it in Oshy and they treated me like a kid and pushed me around and tried over charging me $50! Gibsons is the only yard I'll ever go to again.
Great deal on a set of four used tires here.
GIbson's is a pick and pull junk yard. They have the best selection of any pick and pull yard around here. The cars are organized in general rows. Trucks, Vans GM late model, GM early, Ford, Mopar, Caddy, Imports. Yes you have to walk past a lot of cars to find something specific. If you are looking for something common then you should find it fast. It's not a parts store. No they can't "look up" your part. No they don't know where some specific car is, only in general. No they don't know what color the cars are, get real people. Bring your tools, this is a pick and pull yard. Don't bring your kids, this is a pick and pull yard and they won't let them in. Don't come 15 min before close, this is a pick and pull yard and it will take you longer than that to even find your part. Yes they have wagons for you to borrow there but if you are going to drag something heavy out figure out what you need to bring to take your part out to the counter, it's a pick and pull junk yard. My fav junk yard by far.
Awesome service nice clean yard
Always a good deal on used parts.
One of the largest pick 'n' pull salvage yards in Wisconsin. They have a huge variety of domestic and imports cars and trucks that you can't typically find in smaller yards. This is my go-to place for BMW parts and other hard to find components. There is a lot of stuff here that you just won't find in more rural areas. Price are also very reasonable too.
My favorite yard. The best prices and selection of vehicles I have found yet. My first stop.
Good yard, lots of inventory, good fair price
One of the workers must get a kick out of sending people on a wild goose chase. He sent me to look through houndreds of cars because "the vehicle your looking for is scattered throughout them". After an hour of looking I speak to another employee who says they don't have any.
Had exactly what i needed at a good price. This is my store……
The men in the office tend to be very rude. I just wanted to be a little more informed on the part I needed and instead I got a whole bunch of rudeness.
Great yard, lots of vehicles to pick through to find what your looking for, good prices, great staff
Huge place, decent shape of cars, people complain about the customer service, please realize your at a salvage yard.
Prices are really good. Selection is good also. If you go to pull it yourself no kids under 16 no dogs at all. Full cover shoes mandatory. Tool boxes are subject to inspections. Lot is only organized by car truck or Van. Models are not grouped at all so be prepared to do some hunting in the yard. Yard is about 20 acres if I had to guess. Bring a friend to help look around. No cars in yard either. You must walk.
I could take it or leave it. Staff wasn't friendly.
Great selection super reasonable prices!
I needed this part for my Lincoln limousine.its a Ford/Lincoln part only. Nobody reproduces it. Local Ford dealership sez $300 for a new one. Got two of them at Gibson's for $10.00 each. Took me 35 minutes to remove them. Guy in the huge fork lift picked up the car so I could get them both off. Quick. Thanks Gibson's.
They always have i need
Gibson is by far the least expensive. Example...radio $30. Next least $120. Yard is accessable so YOU get to pick the best part rather than rely on someone to grab the nearest part. Yard is level fully graveled and dry.
I have been there to obtain my own parts, so that's the extent of my shopping there. Supposedly you can have them pull parts for a charge. This is a cash only situation.
Been going here since mid 90's. The only good thing to say is, I've always found the part I needed. For hard to find stuff it the place to go but otherwise avoid these people. I called this morning and they told me $25-30 a mirror for my Ford truck. Checked Autozone while on the phone and their price is $25 new. Told the guy on the phone this fact and he said maybe $15 but they usually get the 25-30. Get real asshats!
Lots of make & models of all kinds of cars & trucks. Plus they recycle metal & cans
Terrible customer service. Terrible attitudes very impolite and rude. Car Yard is great selection is great counter employees are disrespectful not helpful n lazy
Garbage! I am not from the area so all I wanted to know was if they had the color car in the model I was looking for. They would not even get off their a&& to check. I mean it is a junk yard but I will not drive 90 miles to your dump if you can not even give me the time of day.
Very helpful employees, great prices.
Cold ,wet and sloppy. Good service
How disappointing. I need one specific thing and I'm pointed towards a door and told to go look through a mile of stuff. I can't imagine any other business staying open this way.
THIS PLACE IS WELL FOR LACK OF BETTER WORDS HORRIBLE!! I GO TO THEIR YARD AND HONESTLY IT IS VERRY UNORGANIZED. I WALK AROUND THE YARD FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS LOOKING FOR A VEHICLE THAT THEY TOLD ME WAS THERE BUT IT WASNT. THE STAFF IS VERY UNFRIENDLY AND NOT HELPFUL. I DIDNT FIND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR SO I DIDNT BUY ANYTHING. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.
Just wanted a mustang body. There was No: glass, front clip or suspension, rear end, transmission, engine, interior, hood, eemblems, taillights, steering column, floors were rotted through the trunk and gas tank were also. Basically nothing and they wanted $800 lmao I bought my last project car for $1000 and drove it on the trailer. They are absolutely nuts on their prices
Great low price pretty organized by cars and trucks only way I can see improving it is by make
Good salvage yard
Fair Prices.. You can save A Lot..by going out in the Salvage Yard and getting it yourself.
Very friendly staff. They knew right where the car i needed was.
Doesn't have a huge selection
Good used parts. If you can find them
Decent service. A little slow to process. Good variety of services offered.
I bought a bad transmission from them 3 weeks ago. And now there playing games to pass the warranty for it. I've been battling with them for 2 weeks about it. They wont give me a refund. They should be shut down
It is not organized out there it's messy and it's shity
Go to for car parts but you shop there you know
Needs to be cleaned out about 33% of uselss scrap. Spent 3 hours walking thru. Covered about 1/5 of it. Cash only pull your own atva fair price or have them do it for a bit more.
Good selection of junk cars and trucks
I made a phone call to see if they have the cars that I'm looking for in the yard. Their response to my question, I did not like one bit. Absolutely rude, very poor customer service and their attitude. I dropped by anyway, since their were a few other salvage yards nearby. I got an axle out of the car I was looking for but how they set it on blocks, it was very scary indeed. I had to source out what I could so they can set it on blocks/tires, basically what I can get my hands on. When checking out, the guy working behind the counter just stood their. I was next in line and he would talk to the person that just walked in. Took them about 15mins just to pay and leave. As far as the prices, they are far too overpriced. I don't ever plan on returning to that garbage place. I would recommend for you to go to Wally's U Pull? I believe that is what they're call. Better customer service, better prices, and very helpful indeed.
Called ahead thay had parts ready
Boyfriend Love's It
Don't order over the phone pick your own parts if you have them pull it they will give you what ever is closest to the door I'll keep my business with LKQ for things that need to be A+ and their return policy is garbage I ordered a motor said it was a good running motor but was missing sensors and the alternator which is key to a good running engine. For such a big place and have such a crappy return policy is ridiculous the smaller salvage yards have 6 times better return policies I'm very disappointed with this place
Have been a regular here for many years as they have grown to how big they are now, with one of the largest inventory/selection yards in Wisconsin. One of the few remaining pull it yourself or they pull. Great guys to work with if you know cars. Little grumpy at times from years of stupid questions !
Have to search some due to size of their yard but most items I look for I can find. They get a lot of business so the lot changes constantly
(Translated by Google) I like it (Original) Me gusta
You get to rip and tear threw cars I loved it and I'm a girl. Great adventure
Always have anything you need
Everything you need in a scrap yard
This guy didnt have a clue, total lack of customer service
Find what you want most of the time
awesome junkyard and awesome staff great low price
I called looking for a 4.0 I6 for a jeep Cherokee last Thursday was told it would be pulled the next day and be ready drove 35 min got there and it was still not pulled was then told that it would be pulled Saturday I called this time still not pulled but they would pull it on Monday we’ll still no motor it’s tuesday already and I lost out on work great job guys
Quick, efficient and cash delivered. Would recommend!
Customer service was rather unpleasant
Guy at the service counter was extremely rude. Like we were wasting his time asking for a part. Will not return here ever.
Had what I needed and more very happy! Worth the drive from Milwaukee wi! Will definitely be returning here!
It's always been great shopping for things at Gipson I've been going there for yours and most of the time I can find what I have been looking for and the work staff members have all ways been good to me thanks again for the years of saving me money it auto parts
Fair prices on good used parts , friendly knowledgeable staff .
there were very nice. i was selling my car and there came the same day a+++++
Very good service
Fast and courteous. Good money for car. Came and pick it up. Thanks again!
A++ good selection. Fair prices.
Oh, it is quite the scrappy place!
Poor service, EXTREMELY unfriendly. Go elsewhere and pay just a little more for better treatment and respect. These scums will cheat you at every opportunity. There are bowel splats (human feces) everywhere inside their cars due to lack of having any available restroom. Don't buy parts. you will noT be able to return them. Dogs running free in the junkyard! Beware, not safe and don't say you weren't waRNed. AVOID!!!!!
Ehhh it's okay
Amazing place
Definitely kinder to regulars with price and service. Once you go around a bit more they increase their leniency. Lots of cars of all makes and models and usually pretty cheap for parts.
Terrible experience! Staff not helpful or friendly I'll never use them again!!!
Well this link is suppose to let you know what the hours are for Gibson's, but its no where to be found. M-F 8am-5pm SAT- 8am-3pm SUN- CLOSED I called to check what the times were and after 30 rings, I hung up. I decided to stop in after I was done with work at 4:40 in Appleton, just to find out when I actually got there that they close at 5:00. I called again the next day and was determined to stay on the phone until someone answered, after about 2 mins of ringing, someone did. I then found out that even if I were to get there in time the day before, that I wouldn't have been able to purchase anything anyways because I did not have cash at the time. This is my first real visit to a junk yard to pick up something for my vehicle and this might be common knowledge with junk yard but ONLY CASH SALES!
Fairly priced parts...love how cars are arranged and labled so u can find what u want exactly
Good deals
The guy who handles the cans needs a tune-up in his customer service, I won't be back!
Good parts good dirt!
This junkyard is exactly what you would expect. Lots of cars even uncommon ones. And they give very reasonable prices for products. Never a bad experience here
Very reasonable and not affiliated with any car dealerships so that way you don't get the upcharge. People very knowledgeable and their yard layout is very easy to navigate. Also any large things that you pull they will actually come and pick it up with the tractor and bring it down for you.
