Al's is a great place to get parts from. After a recent incident I called around for the part that I need and Al's was the cheapest and the most knowledgeable. The person at the counter remembered me calling for the part we needed.I asked. for a receipt and then lost it.After searching for the lost receipt I called Al's and asked if i could get a copy of the receipt and he said he will gladly give me a receipt. Al's is going to be the first place I call for parts. The guy at the counter needs a raise. He is very friendly and great customer service.

Love the joint, its a throwback place. Norman can pretty much find anything you may need! The road leading to entrance is virtual artwork of classic cars going back to the 40s.

I don't go there mutch anymore but I went with a friend that knows the counter guy and I was interested in some hub caps on a 62 ford that has Ben there forever and his price was more than the swap meet. He was asking Internet prices which has screwed up everything.

Can't load anything. Bought an engine and they put it on a tire. Forklift driver tips it into my cargo van and it falls off the forks does a back flip, lands upside down. Cracked intake destroyed distributor, bunch more top end parts and several lights and materials of MINE I had in my van far foward. Forklift driver said I should've been inside to catch the 1000 lb engine and it's my fault. Total BS. I spent more time fixing the eng. I bought then installing it. They just made excuses. Gave me $75 back on a 500 engine. LKQ puts engines on pallets.

Al's has a Good Selection of Vehicles but I won't go there any more for Parts because they are way too Expensive for them. I called Al's about a Windshield for my car & they told me at least $ 100.00 for it. I went to LKQ Junkyard on 13th & College & got the Windshield for $ 37.00 which is way cheaper. That is not the first Time that All has over charged for Prices for Parts. I needed a Shrould for my car & ended up paying $ 100.00 for it from Al's. After I got it, I found out that I could have got it brand New for $ 50.00 from Certifit. It pays to shop around. So if you're looking for Parts, I suggest calling around different Junkyards first.

I've gone there a few times searching for my XJ6. I never expected finding much considering its a difficult car to find parts for. There was only 1 compatible car and everything that was taken off of it that I wanted, go figure, it was expected. Girlfriend wanted a chrome grille for her Durango. After about 3 trips we finally found one to only find out they wanted as much as a new one would be. Mind you, it wasn't in great shape. When it comes to sales, it seems that they really don't service the cars they try to sell. I was looking at a Buick Roadmaster that had a dead battery. I patiently waited about 15 minutes for the battery to charge and look around the car. The interior looked barely used except for the drivers seat. Faded paint, rust, missing trim and an overall worn feeling the car had were strongly present. Upon starting the car, I discovered that only one window worked properly, the fan was shot, the frame looked like it was beginning to rot all for $2500 with "67k" miles. To me, its very hard to believe.

I used to frequent this place because they were helpful and knowledgable. Turns out norm is the only one who knows the what's what about that place. When I go there I only tall to him, the others can a long walk off a short pier. Last time I visited, I was looking for a 1yr only part and the guy I spoke to(not norm) couldn't figure out what "1yr only part" meant. I havent been there since, which sucks because I enjoyed chatting with norm and walking around the yard checking out the vehicles.

Two stars since it's a pick and pull and there aren't many left. Otherwise what was once I would rate a 5 star yard has dropped significantly in the last few years. Vehicle turnover has slowed and prices are now in eBay range. I can have something delivered to my door for what it takes to drive there and remove on my own most times. Better options around. It's too bad, what was once probably the best in the area has changed, not sure why. On a warm Spring Saturday what would once be very busy was sparce with customers too.

Crazy prices.. youre better off going to the dealer if you want to save money.. wanted $700 for a chevy trans with 200k miles on it.. wanted $150 for 2 seatbelts for a 1980s benz.. paid $7 at lkq..
