Lost money recycling here. Cost more to go than I made. They paid the current average for scrap metal iron/steel ($3 per 100 pounds). However, I had 29 pounds of power cords. They underpaid me by classifying them less than they were (they paid .30 cents per pound). They wouldn't accept the co-ax cable because the connectors were steel - never mind the copper center or braided copper shielding. I've never been to a scrap metal place that didn't accept co-ax for scrap copper. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the huge guy from mexico in the back was funny. Unfortunately. this was the closest scrap yard to me. It will actually cost me less to throw these items away in the landfill on my regular dump runs than to recycle.
