This is probably one of the worst recycling centers openthey will try their hardest to scam you by seeing if you have one little piece of metal that's not the correct items that you're categorized as for example you bring in 10 lb of copper and there is the slightest little peace in your 10 lb they will not just take it out but they will classify that 10 lb of clean copper as dirty copper and you will lose a lot of money and they do that for everything s*** their steel price is 3/4 of a penny

Simon Metals is a great company to work! They are a very professional and provide excellent customer services!

12 dollars for 128lbs of cans? What a joke! If you want .18c per pound, this is the place you want. Otherwise, stay away!

DeAndre Walker

They don't give very much for your straps was a waste of a drive out there. The strap collector are rude and lazy. I pretty much had to unload and load everything onto the scale while they sat and watched. Will not be back

For quite a few years they were great now the charge $100 dollars to come and get metal Never again Stay away

Jamie Baggenstoss

Very polite and friendly staff. Also really helpful if you have questions. We moved to WA in January and I have since tried multiple places to take my recyclables to and chose Simon Metal as our favorite. Will continue to do business with them from now on.

Use to be good. This was the only place I would go. I would bring over 100,000lbs of scrap Cast iron rotors to them a year. I’m a auto technician who also scraps on the side. Brought them over a 100 cat converters and I felt I was well taken care of. I would bring in case aluminum transmission cases and I was rod that if it had 5% or less steel they would give me clean so I thought that was great. I was In there every Saturday for years. Then I was given a horribly price on the same cast aluminum. I told the guy in the office what I had been told and he said bull****. That’s never been ok and they have never done that. Well ok. So that’s your rule. I didn’t aske for this but it was given and now your acting like I’m trying to rip u off? Ok. Gave them another shot. Went on with all my clean yellow brass, copper # 1 and #2 separated. Asked for a price and was given a fair price at the scale. Then went inside and it was different. Reduced to honor what the guy at the scale said. Hispanic Gentalmen who has been there for years. Refused to give me my metal back. That was a year ago. Went back in, now they are not open on Saturday any longer. Have them another shot. This time I told them do not touch or dump my metal until I see a firm price. Yup. Same bait and switch. I took my stuff and left. They were trying to take it and dump it. It isn’t your stuff till you pay me for it remember that! With 5 other options in the port. Shop around. Your get better price and service.

Called here and 2 other places for a price on Brass. Simon quoted me the best price. I drove down there and weighed my metal , they threw it in the bin and told me to go inside and pick up my check. When I got my check it seemed low so I asked them what they were paying me. Not only was it lower then the quote they gave me but it was also 11 cents a pound lower then the other 2 quotes I passed on. They refused to honor the quote unless I could name the person who gave it to me nor would they return my metal so I could go get the better price two competitor's had given me. I would recommend going somewhere more honest. If you have to go here Record the name ,time & date of the quote and verify the quote before they weigh it.
