Took aluminum frame scraps in at 4pm. "That scale closes at 3:30pm." Not posted on their website. Why go there? Should I call and ask what scales are open during their regular hours? Sheesh..

Darrin Carter

Great people that own this mom and pop business

Justin C. LaRoche

Very hard business to work with. Odd hours, complicated business practices. Not really worth it.

J Harris

Sure was helpful on the phone when I called, and when I came to Scrap the part he was friendly and took a moment to show me how to unload it. Their price was reasonable, and he gave me a bit more of the price he quoted on the phone. Friendly, helpful, reasonably priced, and honest- what else could you want in a salvage yard? Good place!

Monroe Mansion LLC does all of their recycling with Du-Mor

I called Du-Mor and first thing out of lady's mouth was rude attitude after my question. What question did I ask?.... " Can I recycle metal with a valid Florida licence"? Her answer was rude. After calling the other guys with the same question and a polite simple answer I will be scraping with the other guys in town.

Michael Misiaszek

The lady here is very rude and seems to not like her job. I don't understand why folks do things they are not happy with. You end up being crorchity like this lady. I wish there were more recycling places here on the north side.

I just want to inform the common law abiding citizen who chooses to recycle here in Spokane that if you don't want to be treated like a criminal then you should not bring your scrap metal to Du-Mor. I do my share of recycling scrap metal in today's economy to supplement my full time job. I usually go to Action Recycling because they usually buy for a good price per pound. A couple of weeks ago I had some #2 copper wire I had stripped to recycle and was on the north side of Spokane and did not have enough time to get down to Action because I needed to be elsewhere soon. I remembered Du-Mor off Francis on Perry and went there. When I turn in scrap, I rarely go over the State mandated $30 check requirement, not because I don't want a check because I would have no problem cashing it at my bank, but because I am usually just turning in just enough for gas money or such. I was prepared to present my ID in order to have them see if I was on the 'no buy' list of people who have been caught selling stolen scrap metal. I was also prepared to have the plate number recorded of the vehicle I arrived in, to see if the vehicle had been involved in any activities regarding theft of recyclable materials, I assume. Even being prepared for these two demoralizing requirements required now of anyone who wants to turn in scrap here in the State of Washington, I was still willing to bring the minor amount of scrap copper to Du-Mor. After weighing the scrap, I was surprised when I was then asked to pose next to the recyclable metal I had brought in so they could take a picture of me next to it. I could maybe see this as justified if I had a bunch of HUH? Then in addition to writing down the vehicle I arrived in's plate number, I was asked to pose for another photo shoot with me and the plate number. I am quite sure that the vehicle has not been involved in any criminal activity, but just for being asked to give me a ride I don't think that the over scrutiny of the owner of the vehicle I arrived in was warranted. I turn in scrap at Action Recycling here in Spokane, and have never been treated from the get-go so much like a criminal. I didn't think that I looked like a criminal, and in no way was concerned with my scrap having been stolen materials. I just wanted to inform the common, law abiding citizen here in Spokane who is wanting to recycle there scrap metal, unless you want to be considered a criminal from the moment you walk in, don't go to Du-Mor Recycling. I would recommend Action Recycling, Earthworks, and many of the other Recyclers here in Spokane over Du-Mor.

These guys are the only people in town with a good selection of capacitors, and they give them to me dirt cheap or trade for my scrap. No one else comes close!
