REVIEWS OF Pick-n-Pull IN Utah

Tyson

Pick-n-pull has alot of cars and has them all in there system so they can direct you to the row that the car your looking for is on. I looked online before I went down and found 5 of the cars I was looking for and where they were at on the lot. Once I got there was able to walk to each car and get the parts I needed. Good experience

Brandon Denning

drove across town to this store and the employees started shouting as I walked in the door "we're closed"... That's all, no "we're sorry but we're closed", just "we're closed" . It was 30 minutes before they closed. Are you serious! Don't advertise you close at 5 if you close at 430! Save yourself from angry customers and save your customers time and just fix your hours online.

Lee Denning

They say they are closed at 5, but they actually close at 4:30. If you say you are open until 5, be open until 5. Common sense.

the mustache mechanic

Went for a tail light but the hatch back was locked. They need to make sure there unlocked before they put in the yard. Due to the fact that the door latches are electric

Rosita B

Excellent service from Darien! Very helpful!

Ulrich Skaarsgard

Good people working at this store. Enjoy everytime I go.

Jerry Hansen

Good experience people very helpful I was in and out in less than one hour

Brian Watters

I had to wait a good 10 minutes to pay the dollar entry fee while one cashier was on the phone and the other cashier kept helping people she saw first rather than the people who came in first other than that it was what you would expect from a junkyard

psydalone 801

They usually have what im looking for at a reasonable cost

Patrick Mortensen

They have all the parts and more for my cars and trucks also I can get my windshield replaced right next door while I'm hunting for parts

Justin Johnson

They've made this place so much better than it used to be! Everything is organized and it's not hard to find your car.

Joel Hall

They opened late and there wasn't enough staff to take care of all the customers.

Scott Cole

Cheap prices helpful staff and huge selection. Always find what I need

phooka888

I love Pick N Pull. The part I need is always the last thing left on the scavenger carcass. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices on my 1991 model vehicle. Thanks Pick N Pull!

James Belcher

Outright thieves. Charge for every nut and bolt. $5 for brake pads with no material and a core charge on top. Seriously cannot believe the nerve of these people. Will not negotiate a price for an entire assembly. They'll offer to buy an entire vehicle for $50 and sell it back in pieces you have to remove for thousands and thousands of dollars. Pay the core fee at any reputable auto parts store and you'll come out way ahead. Rude employees, no management to speak to. Really cannot say enough terrible things about them.

Derek Damien Darcy

This is a junk yard where you can pull your own parts. There is a $1 entry fee. Their prices are reasonable. The staff can help find vehicles that have matching parts if you ask. No children in the yard which makes sense since this is a junk yard. Once there website listed a vehicle which was no longer in the yard. And once in a while the staff aren't friendly, but who hasn't had a bad day from time to time.

Cristobal Valtierra

They seldom have a make and model that you're looking for

James Preston

I arrived at 4:20 to get a replacement cup holder for my car - I then proceeded to wait in line for a quite awhile listening to the gal behind the counter giving the two gentleman ahead of me some venom about a transaction - I then approached the viper, careful not to make eye-contact, asked about going in to get the item, I was informed ( in a Very rude manner) by a second viper that I was too late to get in.. I inquired why the closing time listed was 5pm. I then experienced another verbal whip crack that resembled something about the office closing at 4:30 and the yard closing at 5:00 and that information is on there website. Not everyone checks the website. Rotten customer service..

tomas ortega

Always good and has the parts I need

Karen Flink

Don't waste your time. They're lucky to get one star. We asked about vehicles that might have a rim. They took our money, looked in their computer printed off a list of compatible cars and locations. However they neglected to say they don't sell rims without tires and that those are all up front by the check out. So not only did they steal our $2. But they sent us on wild goose chase for nothing. Bad business. Are they that hard up for business to just get our $2. Won't go there ever again.

Drew McCarty

Good experience, found the part I needed. The staff were pretty understanding even though I made them stay a little bit late in order to check out.

Josh Mariota

Wide variety of vehicles to "pick and pull" from. They can even provide you with a printed list of specific makes/models you might be looking for.

Jay Nonya

Most convenient around if they have you car, good prices, ect. Newer cars not usually found at this one

Bruno Martins

Ladies are really nice! $1 charger to getting in is pretty fair. They are the most expensive junk yard in SLC County (Pull n' Save are more expensive and Tear A Part are the cheapest one) but pretty organized. There is not refund but store credit. Some times brand new parts are cheaper than buying from them. NICE PLACE TO TRY. I love them because there is a nice customer service! They ALWAYS have soup to wash hands =)

Matt Fleming

They close entrance to the yard 30 minutes prior so I can’t tell you what the yards like. Please post this someplace visible on google maps so people don’t drive all the way out only to be turned away like me. It is on the website in small print but as far as I’m concerned, this place closes its doors at 5:30, not 6:00 because they won’t allow people in after that.

A Cheatwood

Great deals if you can find the stuff you need. Willing to make a deal. Sorta poor attitude from employees but they have to deal with some pretty tough folks.

dkpulsford

Horribly unprofessional. If you’re only going to allow people in until 4:30pm, change your hours of operation so people don’t waste their time driving to your yard, thinking they have til 5pm, only to be turned away by some very unprofessional workers. Zero empathy, and zero customer service.

Dormyson Johnson

They know how to do it. Do it fast. In and out 15min

Wineman Dinem

Would have been 5 stars except the other places don't charge for brackets belonging to the main part you're buying. These guys charge for every little thing. And the cars are older. I find newer cars at the other two places in town

Breann Britton

The females at the front desk should be fired, I took a part in to tell them this is what I needed and accused my boyfriend for stealing it, when the girl at the desk seen we brought it in and she touched it. Cops got involved she claimed she had never seen it. Worst place ever!

Kimberly Anderson

Wow!!! What a bargain!!! Staff was super friendly too. Now, that's what I call a day of fun!! If you like taking things apart and saving money...THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU

Christi Rochester

It was just a bad day to go. It started to rain. When we asked about what wound interchange with our suv we where told no other suv would. We looked it up when we got home and there are alot that will. So they wanted us gone or don't know how to do there job

Jay P

They sell everything valuable and leave a lot full of smelly junk cars. Don't waste your time.

Jose lopez

Lots of cars suv's ant trucks to choose from ,well organized and friendly personal

Jennifer Kelley

Absolutely the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with in my life! I would rate them less than 1 if I could! When trying to sell our car to them they scheduled us for a pick up between 8am and 12. By 11:40 we had not heard anything so we called back to see what was going on. They said "the driver tried to call you", which is absolutely not true. We had the phone sitting out and on the entire morning. We had no missed calls, or voicemails. My husband took the day off so that they could come pick it up. They offered to reschedule the pick up for us, which we declined because this was his only day off. They told us to bring the car in and we could pick up the check when we dropped it off. So we brought the car in all the way from magna. After they checked it out, they said they couldn't write us a check because the driver had the check with him, and they had no way to get the check from him to give it to us. Because he was in the shop with his truck that was Having problems. Same driver that supposedly called us prior to pick up. We literally wasted our entire day, waiting for them, and then sitting around the yard while they "tried" to figure out how to get us our money. They are such a joke! Not to mention their used parts are selling for new prices! They tried to charge us 15$ for a blinker switch out of a 96, and auto zone sells it for 20$ with a warranty. This place is a rip off and a joke! Don't waste your time or money here, find a better place!

Taa Kefu

They tried to offer $40 for my aztec and I got $150 from tear a part ...sell your car to tear a part they pay more!

trevan Waters

Wow the lady over the phone asked me the zip code for where the car was located and I said hold on let me check really fast she said well I absolutely need it call me back when you have it and hung up.

Paula M

Good people nice prices

Dustin Martin

Good organization of vehicles, decent variety, the employees are nice and prices are average.

Anonymous thanks

Pretty good stuff in the yard, but 1 star for customer service. Seriously not fun dealing with these dudes.

Erick AlvarezR

Slow as f... Waited like 15 min to pay and only couple people in front of me

Mark Dedrickson

Called them to confirm part availability but was instantly put on hold. At 15 mins on hold, I hung up and called back. They picked up silently, didn't speak, and put me back on hold. Hire some more phone staff Pick-n-Pull. Got great service at Western Auto Wrecking and Tear-a-part Auto Recycling. Don't know why these guys suck so bad.

larry leishman

Great place for good parts nice people

Lewis willmore

If you want parts for your car this is the place to start looking. Very low prices.

ZorchyDeath

Spoke with chase over the phone, horrible customer service. Would not recommend unless you absolutely need something from them.

shad rich

This place is the worst place to deal with i cant say there has been one time ive gone in there and had good service and on top of that when you look up a price for a part on there web site and go in and get that part there is always a catch as far as theres always somethin extra that they charge you for i bought a steering column just the column no steering wheel no steering knuckle no tilt wheel no blinker switch but you can bet they charged me for every one of them items and then tell me theres no other option well there best be cause im sure who ever got the steering wheel and steering knuckle got charged for them and now i am so now there makin double the money on two three or four parts and theres nothing they can do about that oh and only 30 day exchange and no money back returns they are scamming people left and right everyday and gettin away with it

Lonnie McDaniel

it's a good place to go to get the parts you need quite expensive but you better be prepared to work cuz you got to pull them yourself

Elishia Barajas

NEVER AGAIN WILL I TRY TO SELL MY CAR HERE SCHEDULE FOR A PICK UP BETWEEN 12-4 PM ONLY TO GET A CALL BY THE TOW DRIVER 30MINS BEFORE TO SAY IF I DON'T SEND HIM A PIC OF THE TITLE HE WON'T COME PICK IT UP BECAUSE HE'S NOT DRIVING ALL THE WAY TO BLUFFDALE FOR NOTHING I DON'T HAVE MMS ON MY PHONE SO I CAN'T SEND PICTURES WHEN SCHEDULING THE PICK UP NO ONE MENTIONED HAVING TO SHOW THE TITLE UNTIL THEY WERE THERE TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE HE WAS SO RUDE AND I AM LIVID MY FIRST TIME AND MY LAST WITH THIS COMPANY I WILL MAKE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW YO GO THROUGH TEAR A PART!

jsanbr

Great place to buy used parts. The yard is clean and they have a big variety or vehicles. Don’t forget to look at the core charges when buying a part.

Alen Papic

Danielle always helps me so much , and she’s the main reason I come here . Please keep her around forever ! Awesome service .

Abbigail Zonts

Very nice and organized place! They answered any questions I had and the people at the desk were very nice and reasonable! It was pretty clean and the wagons were very heloful!

zec whip

Great self serve junkyard

old man vollox

would not discuss prices oner phone wasted my time calling

Matt Graham

Good people. Good inventory. Good rotation.

Corsola

Internet says they stay open til 6pm on Sunday. We got here at 5:30 and there are 2 girls yelling out the doors that they are closed and to go home. Tried to talk to them they said that they dont have what we need. I think they are just telling us whatever they want to make us leave.

marco perez

Ladies at the desk are not good at all. I drove a hour away to get a bumper ,but i had an item that i had purchased a week before that needed to be returned. I had left the recipt at home but i had my wife sent me a picture of it, and they claimed they needed the recipt. Next time i was in slc i took the part with the “paper so she just wrote the numbers that i had on the recipt and trew my paper recipt away, but all of that info was on my picture that my wife had sent me on my Recipt. Also even with the recipt you will never not get your money back only store credit, so why was it a big deal anyway?

David Hoyt

I have been to a number of salvage yards recently, and this one is easily the worst of the bunch. Cars are not as well labeled or grouped together as the other lots, and seem to be in worse shape.

David Escobedo

It's a mechanics dream place to find hard to find parts for old cars, find cars under $1000 fixables, things are organized and the ladies at the entrance are very efficient and happy in guiding you and give you service. ,

tim Sand

I have been coming to this yard for almost 15 years I have never been treated so badly by manager in my life I want to know when a 60/40 bench all of a sudden becomes too bucket seats they were trying to charge me for a bucket seat and then a bench seat they don't even know what they're doing or they're selling I will not be coming back

jacqueline peterson

Customer service has really gone downhill. I rated this company before with a 5 star expecting them to be just as great as they were before each and every time you come in. Last time I paid for something, it went out in a day & I let them know right away & we were trying to find something else to replace it, They conveniently lost contact and when I recently went in there I told them about the situation and the one guy said he remembered me, thought I looked familiar... Right off the other guy was like 'm sure you dont have your receipt and it was so long ago that we couldn't help you now

Jeffree Serl

I just went by to look at batteries. The lady with the pink hair is super rude, all she said is they are not ready. Didn't bother with any other info.

Charles Peterson

Great experience!

Tony LinP

Got special deals today!! Lots of parts you can see.

matt hughes

They have a great selection of vehicles to find the right part from and there staff is very friendly and helpful!

Peter King

Nice place Fairly clean yard Helpful people Good prices

Rachelle Ekstrom

Haven't been to Pick n' Pull for quite a while. I really liked their lot. Good variety of cars. Not enough Isuzu Troopers, but we got some great stuff and for a pretty good price. It was 40% off the day we went. Highly recommend, staff is also very friendly and helpful. Only annoyance is, they do not have a bathroom. So if you don't mind an Out House , I highly suggest you use the bathroom before you get there .

William Swann

Professional staff that is ready to help with whatever you need. Thank you very much for helping me get my project finished!!! Remember this is a junkyard and it only costs a dollar get in and find your part. A dollar to use their cars for your benefit. Once you find your part prices are very reasonable.

Jarlin De leon

The ladies at the desk are not the best at customer service. But you can usually find what you need.

kenny paulson

Had a great computer print out of my style of car and prices

T Wolf

Freind ly people vary helpfull

Ricky Baker

Large selection of used parts. The parts locator on the website is very useful.

Distric Location

By far the best yard in the Salt Lake area. They charge a buck to get into the lot, but they also provide wheelbarrows, maps and navigation help. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they know where everything on their lot is! The yard is clean and well organized and part pricing is competitive. The other thing that sets these guys apart from the others is their commitment to the environment. I found out that they collect and recycle all of the hazardous materials/fluids out of every vehicle. Even things like mercury switches are pulled and recycled safely before the vehicle ever hits the yard. They're great to do business with and it's nice to know they really care about doing whatever they can to protect the environment.

Juan Antonio Campos

I don't found what I need

Vince G

Every vehicle in their inventory, cars, trucks, SUV's; has this kind of damage from the employees that operate the forklifts. They smash up trunk lids to force them open, they hit vehicles hard on the side, breaking glass, etc. So if you're looking for body panels here, chances are they are damaged. If you need to pull parts inside of the vehicle, you may end up sitting on broken glass.

FRED B

We are a dealer and buy thousands of parts a year. We do buy from them but it is one of the last places we look for parts. The employees are rude and spend more time talking to themselves or on their cell phones than helping customers. Some of the parts are a great deal and some you can get new ones from the dealer cheaper. It depends on the part. They pay certain companies double or triple what they will pay you for a car. We get a hundreds of junk cars a year. The guy they send out says he will come out but never does. Their offers have been lower than any wrecking yard in the entire valley we have dealt with. An example: They offered us $250 for a car and then we have the person next door to us offer them the same car and they offer him $600 for it. I would make this my last stop when looking for parts or selling a car.

Andy Dalpiaz

10/10 would not recommend

Joe Mulvey

I don't know why this place is getting so many bad reviews. I got a quote over the phone, I took my car in, the girl who helped me was friendly and polite. She knew how much I was quoted over the phone and she figured out a way to get me $60.00 more than what I was quoted, and it was a very quick and painless process. Can't ask for much more than that. Maybe they only shoot attitude towards customers who shoot them attitude first, I personally had a great experience with them.

Ryan Brown

Someone organized and very clean in perspective of a junkyard

John anderson

5 star yard.. sweet choice of needed older car parts.. The reliable cars of the past!.. Old to new parts at nice prices.....Will buy from again and again....

C. Brandon Price

I've left messages and they don't return calls. Half the time the voice mail doesn't even let you leave a message. Perhaps they are better in person but I will never know.

Nico Koulurus

The place changes management more than I can keep up, but they have ALWAYS had the happiest crew, largest selection, cleanest most organized yard and lowest prices in the Valley. Great place to practice your repair skills before fixing your own ride, as well. If you need auto glass... Best Price Auto Glass share the same parking lot.

Ispeak Mymind

Best junkyard in Salt Lake. All vehicles predicted and on stands, over clean carpet pads and clean, dry gravel! See the pic I posted. And the girls who sell the parts are friendly and smile. Salt Lakes best.

akim evangelista

A very great place to find parts for your car or truck. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable I would recommend Pick N Pull to all my friends and family

Kitch Forbes

Very impatient, hung up on my phone call for a quote. Lie about what vehicles they have on hand.

David Owens

Very straight forward you pay a dollar and pull the parts you need and pay for them on the way out. Parts pricing is good and staff was good.

Andrew

Its a pick and pull. Not bad selection. Some amazing steals. Other average prices. But well worth your time and effort. If you have time and effort to give to a repair.

Calvin Smith

Low entry price and friendly staff. They do exept credit cards and there are many vehicles in there. Most of the vehicles are picked pretty clean and you can forget about finding any nice looking cosmetic parts that are in good condition. This junkyard is mostly for finding mechanical parts in common vehicles.

Michael Blankenship

The staff was helpful and friendly when I walked in. And the cars in the yard aren't needlessly trashed.

Thomas Pacheco

I tried calling for prices and I press 2 to talk to a person and it says the line is busy; for an hour. Happens every time.

papu rider

Very poor service, parts not available, never Answer the phone, manager always sleeping in the office with bad attitude,

Debbie DeGraw

Huge lot to pick auto parts from. Staff was friendly in answering my questions. Easy to find location. Cheap prices.

Chaniz Osornio

Lots of parts options if you have the tools to do your own work

Doug Ostler

Well I haven't quite made it there yet but I'm 99.8% sure they have my part I just have one problem. Map says I'm 4.7miles away, water pump let go,

Professional Professor

I drove up to this yard from Utah valley to get a couple parts from cars that have recently been removed from my local yard. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and friendly, as was everyone I met out in the yard, and I'm not a super friendly looking person. The selection was pretty good. The yard was covered in gravel (I went while it was snowing) so it was surprisingly not muddy and pretty flat ground. They had a couple of the cars I needed (accents) but didn't have one other (Spectra), both of which are very common cars. The yard was "organized". They had rows, but they were very poorly labeled and quite mixed around. However, the counter help can tell you where the vehicle is that you're seeking, but it took me a little scouring the area to find it. The parts prices were good. After reading reviews, I was a little skeptical but, in the end, I paid $5 for a part that was $30 used online. It was a more than fair price in my opinion. Pretty good experience.

solar flared

found what l was looking for fast and easy. good experience

Steven Feeney

Great place to get used parts for your vehicle but they should really stay open later it's tough to get into get parts For your vehicle if you have a job or have a different life schedule than the average 9-5 person

Scott Wilson

Staff is friendly. Not easy in and out of the parking lot which is pretty small for the size of the yard. Yard is not organized so you have to hunt. Their website said they had two Dodge Dakotas...I couldn't find either. Found a couple gems in their "extras" bin (nice multi-meter). Good prices on tires if you pull them.

Daniel Bullock

What a joke. Instead of just giving you a straight up quote, they want you to start up an account, and go over all your paper work with a fine tooth comb. Just give me a quote. You guys don't base your policies on what other scrap yards do, or don't do. Maybe you should.

Chase Harris

Has anyone else been put on hold on the phone for 20 min trying to call and ask if a certain vehicle is in the yard?

Timothy Morris

Better to go to a parts store. Hours are not accurate. They open and close whenever the lazy staff chooses.

Mark Dewyea

Great place to get parts

Matt McDowell

Update 7/10/19: Vehicles shown online do not reflect what is available in the yard. Wasted time and entrance fee looking for cars shown online that they do not have. Will offered no explanation, no apology, and no refund. Very deceptive business. Have been coming here frequently for the past six months for parts for a project. I can't believe how understaffed it has become in that short amount of time. Went from generally pleasant experiences at the end of last year to never wanting to go back after this past weekend. One person can't be reasonably expected to process returns/look up interchange info/and process admissions simultaneously... it's absolutely ridiculous to wait 20+ minutes just to pay the entrance fee and sign a waiver. I would let this slide if it wasn't the 3rd or 4th time I've experienced it. The worst part is watching all the potential customers that just turn around and give up after waiting in line for a few minutes. 2019 revenue #'s have got to be setting off alarm bells somewhere at the corporate offices. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! Create a kiosk for interchange info so it doesn't bottleneck admissions.

robert terry

The yard is pretty clean and organized but the inventory is a bit out of date.

David Mancera

the manager has a horrible attitude, she did not want to let go because one of the pieces that I went to look for did not have it. She is very rude, I never go back.

Michael Brown

I got the part I needed eventually. The map they gave was useful. Their card reader didn't work for quite a few times

nick l

This place is kind of a sad situation it is literally self-destructing exploding into itself they've gotten rid of all their trained knowledgeable staff and the new staff is so overworked and overwhelmed they can't even think or communicate correctly I don't believe it's their fault either I think it's a management issue. the last two times I went there they tried to charge me different prices for the same parts that I've been buying for years the same part and trying to explain how they should look it up in their computer system to someone who is overworked and overwhelmed it's too much to ask the customer to do.

Kevon Ogden

Great place to get older car parts.

A Mendez

Was ok lil pricey
