I came in there asking for a 4th gen El Camino hood and rear bumper. He asks me if that's an 86 or and 85. Come on, you work at a salvage yard and you don't know Generations of cars!? Anyways I corrected him "it's a 77, 4th gen is 73-77" So he says alright and takes me to the vehicle. IT WAS A RUST BUCKET!! I understand old. I understand antique. But this thing was hideous! Then he tries to tell me that a hood is $395 and the rear bumper (which was dented and rusted too) was gonna be 295!!! Are you joking me? I would pay that for a brand new one. Anyways if you are looking for a knowledgeable affordable salvage yard, don't even bother with CTC. Yeah they have a good collection but it over priced and most of it has been sitting it that Damn wasteland of a dump they are all rusted through anyways. O by the way did I also mention you can't roam the yard! You have to tell them what you are looking for he shows you where it is. Then you walk out there and he checks up on you a couple times in his golf cart! He didn't even offer us a ride back! He drove the golf cart as we walked! I hope ctc rots away just like the rest of the once beautiful cars in your lot. Do yourself a favor. Find it somewhere else. Or on Craigslist. There is no need for a business like this in the classic car scene.

I've read most of the reviews here and they are negative...I don't understand what people expect from a WRECKING YARD...yes, parts will be rusted, yes the prices will be higher than you expect to pay, BUT for cryin' out loud, sometimes these guys are the ONLY game in town for the parts you need, therefore I am glad they are around. My guess is most other reviewers haven't restored many classics and are new to the game...I've dealt with CTC both in person and by phone for parts for the two classic 1950s cars I am restoring, yes I usually end up paying more than I want, but heck, I'm paying more than I want for a gallon of gas or a freaking loaf of bread these days. As far as allowing individuals to stroll thru the yard, I am sure to some extent it is an insurance issue, vehicles that are precariously setting on the ground, rusted pointy objects that can catch on anything, and at certain times of the year SNAKES all over the place. And yes, I am sure they don't want people helping themselves to smaller items as the peruse the yard. The staff has always been very helpful, answering all my questions and advising me on certain parts. all in all I am GLAD CTC Auto Ranch is there when I NEED parts I cannot find elsewhere!!!

Couldn't help but stop in and check it out. Really cool guys and some great cars. Phone rang a lot and they still had time to talk to me and answer some questions. They have the cars and can set the prices how they see fit. Some parts you just can't find anywhere else so expect to pay a bit more. This place rocks!

This is where classic cars go to die because they charge you out the ass for busted motors and bodies full of rust holes the size of golfballs. I go in looking for parts and they attempt to coerce me into purchasing an entire vehicle. The price they charge for a rust bucket, with a motor that hasn't been started in about twenty years and lacking a trans, is honestly insulting. Furthermore I can only describe their customer as arrogant.

I've bought several parts in the past from this salvage yard, and while they do have a very large selection, they charge exorbitant amounts for everything. Several times when I have called and asked for pricing, I've gotten one price and then was told a higher price when I arrived in person, for trim, hoods, fenders, and other parts. I've also had an unpleasant experience trying to sell them a classic car with title, being offered scrap prices for the car. I have found that it is much cheaper getting new parts online or looking for the parts on craigslist than buying used parts from this yard. If you go here, expect to pay much more than the parts are actually worth.

Went to CTC auto ranch because needed some parts for my 1979 Ranchero. Found out about them from a Motortrend video (Surprised I missed them all this time) and decided to give them a try. Place is more than I could imagine, classic cars 80's and below as far as the eye can see (Heck I still have not probably seen half of it) and plenty of cars for sale. I talked with the owner and he took me to quite a few Rancheros in the similar year models of mine and we started looking. Found the parts I wanted and he even cut some pieces off of one custom to fit my needs (Previous owner cut the original seatbelt mounts off to do something custom). Recommended if your a classic car buff, love the place and recommend it if you need car parts for classic vehicles.
