I am raising money for my church by scraping metal (aluminum, copper and steel) donated by church members for water systems on the Navajo Indian reservation in New Mexico. The people at the recycler are very nice. The men always help unload the heavy items. The price is competitive to other recyclers. The location is easy to get to since it is on the outskirts of Cayce and close to the interstate. I highly recommend American Scrap Iron and Metal.

The guy that answered the phone was moody and seemed like he didn't want to be on the phone at all. I was supposed to be called by a tow driver. Never happened. Called back. Kept getting voicemail. Left a message. Was never called back and that was a week ago. I called pull-a-part after that. They were offering the same thing and actually showed up to take my vehicle. I don't know how they have three stars and this place has five.

I had a bunch of metal scrap, I had to sell them and this Yard gave me the best price compared to other yards I went to. Customer service was great as well, and the employees explain the whole process. I will definitely be coming back! As per my experience this is the Best Recycle Metal Yard in Columbia SC.

The mosy rude and unprofessional management I have ever seen. The owner is unreasonable and does not care about the employees what so ever apparently. As long as she makes her money for the company that is all that matters to them. I wpuld rate this company zero stars if possible and recommend noone go here there is definetly other scrap yards in the area that you can go to with GOOD management.

Been going there for quite awhile great service and people. However last visit all I got was a run around. Asked for manager and was told no one was around to help me and they were under new management.they said to call back which I did and said they couldn't do that now. In the past I had no problems. Not happy about this last visit. Hope things get better.

The highly positive reviews speak for themselves. Today was my first time here since the scrap yard I used to go to closed down. I didn't know where to go in the yard but everyone was helpful getting me where I needed to be even though it was very busy and I appreciate that. I only scrap once every year or so. I also got paid well above what I expected, which makes me glad the other place closed down and I got the opportunity to come here.
