Quoted $70 on the phone for an"03 Toyota Sienna Cat Converter but only gave $40. Cat was still functional and in good shape, not detiorated in any way.Cat replacement story long but necessary.

The best scrap yard in Pittsburgh by a mile. I do a LOT of scrapping in my line of work and I've probably been to every yard within an hour of downtown and I've yet to find anyone that even comes close to AAA. Their copper prices are always the best around and their other non-ferrous prices are excellent as well. They pay the most for insulated wire and even have good prices on electronic scrap. The only area I've found them to not be the best (but still better than most) is with tin/shred prices but they're a smaller yard and that's not really their specialty so I understand why. What really keeps me coming back though is the service, they embody the Pittsburgh "small town" mentality and are always friendly and helpful. When I started going there years ago I didn't even know to use a magnet to separate my metals, but they took the time to teach me how to get the most value from my scrap rather than take advantage of my ignorance. Tim and Todd have given me tons of tips and tricks that have maximized my payout both at their yard and at others and Jess always greets me with a smile and treats me like an old friend rather than a customer. I can't recommend these guys enough, if you have copper and you take it anywhere else you're doing yourself a disservice.

I have come to AAA scrap for about 7 years. They have been more than honest and upfront. I have even brought my boys with me to scrap and AAA gave them magnets to test what could be scraped with dads permission. A Burgh cornerstone for any scrapper.
