Here you will see the reviews of real people who buy the products of LKQ Self Service - Oklahoma City (Scrap Yards) around Oklahoma area.
Now the firm receives a score of 3.3 over 5 and the rating was based on 263 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is very faithful. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to place scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Scrap Yards is classified in the category of Salvage yard.
Most of the time I buy there it is a reasonable price but on the weekend with a certain lady cashier it always way over prices the parts. I look up the parts on the web site so i got a idea on what to spend and its always about 20.00 to 30.00 dollar's more.
Need more vw beetle most parts been picked over but yes well organized and helpful staff
What a great place to shop for used auto parts. There are pictures of the vehicles which helps if you are looking for body parts. Well organized with easy to find vehicles.
This place is trash. The inventory list isn't kept up to date, i walked all imports 3 times only found 2 of 5 vehicles listed. 3 dollars to get in. The south side of their yard is covered by water making some vehicles inaccessible. Mayra has 0 customer service skills and has music in her ears while trying to ring people up. They want a core charge for everything. Avoid at all costs if possible.
Good
I was in there this morning and the manger was yelling at employees he even told a employee that another employee has a fat but there Geraldo is very rude he changes price if he likes you stay away
Prices are too high
I was really lucky, they only had the there for 7 days . I needed a drive shaft, the truck was striped down . No bed,no rearend I mean striped . I looked under the cab and there it was the driveshaft I needed hanging off the trany . All I had to do is slide it out and carry it away . Didn't even have to use a single tool . How is that for luck .
They're helpful to new guys, the car selection is what it is based on what they got.
HUGE place, and pretty well-organized. Prices were great. The only things I dont like is, they can't tell you what's left. Just whether they have the vehicle. So its a gamble. Admission is only $3 though.
Take an extra 30 dollars with you as i got hit woth $18 in taxes and $13 in env fees.
Rude service and non friendly at all
I have used this salvage yard for the past 3 years for parts and generally I have found what I needed, at fairly reasonable prices compared to others in the area. However, I agree with others that the yard is so big as to make walking arduous, especially with heavy parts you cart back to the sales desk. The staff is courteous although I tend to ask few questions so I don't know if they are helpful when it comes to hard-to-find parts. I find it hilarious that folks complain about a 3$ entrance fee when they might save tens of dollars buying parts; how is the shop suppose to pay its employees to keep the yard open and you don't buy anything? Gee, use your brains, guys/gals!
Great parts higher admission but better selection
online prices do not match actual prices, ontop of that hey tac on environmental fee $3.18 felt like being hit with a hidden fee they dont even tell u about it on their website. am i supposed to know this out the gate?
No good
All junk very little good parts and way over priced
got charged $40 for a torque convertor when manager should have given a credit due to the fact that I could not remove my good convertor from the bad engine I was returninig. David was not nice
Very rude customer service....
It's ok at this location but unfortunately the way they use "A,B,C" for rows and location of cars is confusing but... It's clean and staff is ok.. I honestly don't like it, California locations is best for LKQ
Prices up to 5x above LKQ Online / competitors (gouging) and/or unfamiliarity with parts classification. 'Guest' WiFi is actually restricted to employees (unfamiliarity with English or common guest services).
I say i DISLIKE IT bc they charge u way to MUCH MONEY
It's a treasure hunt... Look hard it's there somewhere...
Over priced admission, and bankers hours. It cost $3 bucks to get in which would be fine if they had newer cars, and opened up at 8am like most wrecking yards. They have a little short butch girl that works there is extremely rude. Maybe it's penis envy or whatever. Just an heads up.
Horrible. I went and got a part today and as I was going to pay they lost power. So I offered to pay cash since their computer was down and they wouldn't even accept that. So I wasted my gas, time, etc taking off a part only to be told I couldn't have it. Biggest mistake I made was pulling into their parking lot. Do not go there!!!!!
This place was much better when the old manager was there
Definitely not as good as pull a part. Prices are quite a bit more.
The place was messy and most of the cars have been picked over. The parts are cheap when you can find what you need
They love to overcharge people. Their price list on their website says that 16-17 inch wheels are $31 plus a $5 core charge. If you search "tire" there is nothing listed but a $3.50 charge to remove the rubber from the rim. We had picked out 2 wheels for our truck and 1 for our car. We had also pulled a large console, an AC/Heat control panel, and 3 visor clips (just the clips, not the whole visors). By the time the fat woman had rung everything up, the total was almost $300 and I asked her how much we were getting charged for the wheels which she had already said all 3 were 16 inch rims. She said $73.?? for EACH ONE. Hold up, how do you get to $73 and some change when the website says $31 + $5 core? Seems like she was doubling the price so we declined. We still ended up paying about $68 and some change for the console, 3 visor clips, and an AC/Heat control panel. They can enjoy keeping the $6 in core charges for the console and control panel combined because we won't be back. The console was $25 including the $4.50 core and someone else had pulled the lid already! The CP was $24 including the $1.50 core. The 3 plastic visor clips were $3.40 each. Ridiculous considering they give people $100 for junk cars and make thousands ripping people off on USED parts. IDK how they have 4 out of 5 stars on here because on facebook it's all bad reviews like mine.
Not sure about the other reviews but I have made 3 trips in the past month and saved a ton of money. Way cheaper than buying from a salvage yard. I even got a full sized truck bed in great shape for a great price. Only complaint is I wish they had golf carts because it's a huge place to walk. I'd pay to use a golf cart. $3 admission is a steal. Its best to get text alerts of what vehicle your looking for because parts go quick. Their web site prices have always been correct.
Very much God bless this place Amen
Cool friendly staff
Good place good variety of parts
If you can do it urself it's a good place to get parts cheap. You can save hundreds of dollars
Great place to visit
Went to the LKQ self service in Oklahoma City this morning, when the man whom appeared to be the manager was screaming and yelling at a few of the employees and also made the blonde woman who was working behind the counter so upset to the point of crying! Also commented to another employee she had a fat A$$!! Very vulgar language to employees, and you would also think that in a company this big would have decent customer service especially coming from the manager who is supposed to be role model to everyone who works there! Very very unprofessional, and I will never come back to place and I do not recommend coming to this place once so ever! I’m very disappointed with this man and how he talks to his staff! My husband and I will not return! Well to pull apart!
Good amount of junked cars. Usually find what I need here, deliberately my first choice when I need something. There are no jeep parts.
They're always polite and helpful when you need information about a certain car or part and guide you in the right direction I enjoy my time at LKQ I don't feel like I'm there for my business I feel more like a kid in a candy store.
Ok I enjoyed the experience out there because I am from Jamaica
Good yard as a whole with fair pricing. Customer service could use some improvement
The place is great the short blonde Jennifer she's cool
Terrible customer service... they decide their own hours here and close up at 5 even though their doors say 6 PM
Productive visit. They had what I needed. Attitudes from the staff were hit and miss. Some were great and others need training on what it means to provide service to customers. There are others providing the same service!
Friendly
I called for a part and the lady was extremely rude and unprofessional.
This place is a bad joke. Couldn't tell me if the wheel I'm looking for is in the yard and then wants to charge me $3 just to enter the yard to take a look. Imagine Wal-Mart charging you to not only shop, but pull your own merchandise out of the warehouse and you'll get the idea with this place.
Prices are very reasonable and they have a good selection. The service is pretty slow but it's totally understandable especially on big sale days like today. They also offer a military discount and have an app that will let you know when the car that you need parts for has arrived. I would highly recommend!
It's all junk
Poor customer service with rude people working front desk. Prefer pull a part instead plus it's closer. Plus not every person in there has tattoos on their faces like LKQ. I don't want to feel like I'm going to get shot when I coming to get something
Anyone ells have the problem of disrespectfull employes hanging up on them after they spent ten minutes on hold dealing with that stupid computer automated system
Wish they had more newer cars
My first and last trip to this place. The customer service SUCKS! No direction from staff other than three dollars for the "privilege" of walking a couple of miles of picked over, mostly stripped vehicles. I needed a specific part, asked if they had it and was told to look in the "truck area" I was not told what area may have the matching model of truck, if there was any possibility that that model may be there or given any consideration or direction. I spent about two hours walking up and down rows of skeletons of trucks with none even remotely near the year or model I needed. With most of the parts already removed from them. Don't waste your time or your three dollars at this place
Not sure why anyone would give this place a bad review. I guess they didn't check this place out online. But here's my experience. About a week ago my alternator went out on my 03 expedition. I called a place that said they had one for $35. I get there and they tell me they sold it last night. So I go to pull a part and spent about 2 hours looking at all the explorers, expeditions, ford trucks, navigators.. Etc. All of the alternators were taken except the older 4.6l model ones that wouldn't fit mine. So I went to LKQ'S website and registered. Picked my vehicle and it showed me how many they had and the exact location in their yard. It also gave me a coupon for a free entry. So I get there. Didn't have to pay admission. First 3 expeditions I checked had the alternator I needed. Vehicles here aren't as gutted as pull a part. I almost got 2 alternators in case one didn't work. But got just one. The guy at the counter said it has a 30 day warranty and it only cost about $27 after turning in my old one. I went straight to autozone afterwards and the alternator works great. They yard at LKQ was also cleaner. It was raining that day. Pull apart was muddy and weighed my boots down. Not muddy at LKQ.
Great place for used parts, just wish they had more of the cars I need. XD
$3 to get in! That's a rip off. Their yard is cluttered and poorly organized. I saw a late model Hyundai Sante Fe close to an 80's Ford e350. They put crossovers, mini-vans, trucks and SUVs all in one big section. Don't bother wasting your time. It's a big yard but they don't have anything that sets them apart from their competition.
Prices are ridiculous. Pull a part much cheaper
Terrible . I would rate no stars if I could . I bought a part yesterday come to find out I don't need it . But I miss placed the receipt so they won't do anything for me . I realize they need proof I bought it but this was YESTERDAY . Look at the cameras ask the lady that checked me out I mean come on ? I'll never be back . Serious inconvenience . I'll be posting this everywhere so people know .
Over priced.a new tire that would cost you 47 dollars. They will sell you a used one for 35 dollers. And are way below scrap iron prices.for scraping cars. When they first opened they were A good place to go for good deals. But not anymore needs new Management.
Do not try to use the online Chat. The agents are rude and not helpful at all.
You have to pay an entrance fee and I don't like that. Must not want my business.
If your looking for newer vehicles, go here
The employees are friendly and very helpful the yard is laid out where it's easy to find the cars that you need parts from. The prices are reasonable
Great place fair prices
If I could give negative stars I would. This used to be a great place to get parts, but it has really gone down hill in the last couple months. Customer service is negligible at best, prepare to be searched entering and leaving, be overcharged and incorrectly charged, and incredibly long wait times to get in and get checked out.
Good app. Little pricey but clean
Big yard, well organized, good selection.
CLOSE TOO EARLY. ! ONE THE MALE WORKER IS DICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walked in looking for any 90s model chevy silverado, tahoe, or suburban and lady at front desk pretty much wouldnt let in in the lot and she told me that they have no 90s model chevy trucks at all but i double check on their website on their vehicle inventory and found a few of em listed on their site. Poor service. Walked out empty handed and frustrated.
The lady at the front counter told me that they had the part I needed so I paid the $3 required. After I paid the fee she said nevermind we don't have it. So basically I paid for nothing. She could have told me that before hand. Wouldn't even give me the $3 refund. Do not do business with LKQ!!! Nothing but lies!!!
Honda friendly :)
Was told they had a part that they did not have..Very rude staff..dont recommend this place whatsoever
Why does it say you close at 6 but I'm here at 5:30 and your closed! Boo I drove 25 miles!
You have to pay to go look for what might or might not be there. Customer service is much better than the nearest competition.
Bad bad bad
Geez. Now $3 to get in, core on almost everything.
Went to get a mirror, strut and lug nuts and they are 40% off today, tomorrow and Labor Day!
Never going back to lkq unless I absolutely have to. Full on scam pricing. Muffler is $16.24 on the website with a $2 core. Exhaust pipe is 2.90 per foot. My receipt says the muffler is 23.55 with a 2.50 core and he added a warranty to the exhaust pipe without asking or marking it. So before tax it should have only been $33.24. Before tax, "warranty", core and environmental fees it is $38.05 with a total of $51.57 afterwards.
The worst ever , i havent see lazy ppl, like this place , the just want u to come and look , if they have the part or not. So, if u like gambling then go to them.
really kind people
Went to get an hid ballast for my car in which the website said $13.00 but got charged 46.90 and the only explanation was that the car was listed on the website and the ballast are a $100.00 . Found an aftermarket set (2) for the same price as just one from lkq . Thanks a lot for the theft lkq . Good job on not honoringyou website price.
It's like the meca in car parts
(Translated by Google) Vehicles in good condition to remove the parts that are needed (Original) Vehículos en buenas condiciones para retirar las partes que se necesitan
Had just what I was looking for.
Great people work here, good prices and very helpful
Disorganized. No help. No inventory. Complete waste if time. Found 1 truck that was close to the year I was told they had... On the complete opposite side of the lot of where they pointed.
Same deal as other people. Are are not always where there website says they are. Think they must lie about the day they enter the yard, as some vehicles I see on there website show as only just come in but go to hunt for parts and they are nearly all cleaned out. Went there to find parts for my Chevy truck but seems every Chevy truck they had, there was nothing on them. Need to circulate their trucks more often
Worst salvage I've ever been to employees are very rude , i called for price before I drove 20 miles to find out when I got to the register the price was almost double than what I was quoted over the phone and they didn't even have the part I called about, parts are cheaper at other salvages and you won't have to pull the part yourselves
Other than the lady at the front charging 3 bucks to use the restroom it is okay!
Drove from Edmond to look a a door and fender, car was posted on the website but not in the yard huge waste of time and gas, when I asked an employee about the car not being there acted like they could have cared less
Found what we needed right away wasn't very expensive, they do charge a fee just to go on the lot. The workers were friendly and helpful.
Had the parts i needed. 4 stars because by the time i was done getting my parts i was greasy up to my elbows. LKQ had a sink but no soap. If you are going to LKQ take a small bottle of soap.
Lots of great parts for what they have.
Tried to charge me for some "clearly broken" parts that you cannot take apart while in their yard. There was no way I was going to be able to break loose a 36mm nut that is rusted on to the axle end... So around $60 total for two broken axles (rusted, leaking out the boots, CV joints messed up). There was no way for me to remove the hubs from them with the axle in place... so another $42 total (rusted rotor and one hub had 3 bent studs out of 5). Looked at their prices and thought at most I might be spending about $90 for two spindles with hubs, lady quoted me well over $250. Spent an hour in the truck section and walked out empty handed because their counter people lacked logic.
Really service really good price
Front desk ladies are rude.
Complete FRAUDS. Bait and Switch! Their website CLEARLY states bucket seats are less than $30 each. Went in and found a pair I liked and took them to the counter. The lady tried to charge me almost $200 for them!!! I told her, no your website states that they are $28. She said "I don't care, this is the price". So they are baiting people in with FAKE low prices listed on their website, then trying to charge more than 3 times than what is listed for the parts. Another guy went through right in front of us with a pair of bucket seats and she did the same thing to him. Clearly, what they are counting on is that once you go through all of the hassle of taking the parts out, that they can charge you more and you'll just go along with it because you need the part and you've already spent all this time out there doing the work. Needless to say we told them to stick their seats where the sun doesn't shine. So did the guy in front of us (good for him!). YOU CANNOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! They are baiting you in with fake prices that they do not intend to honor. That is called FRAUD. It is also false advertising. I sincerely hope that these people do this to a lawyer and he takes them to court. I will NEVER go back to this place ever again. You would be wise not to as well.
Will be taking my business back to Pull-A'Part. Charged me $30 for a tire that costs $39 new at wal-mart. Charged me a core charge on a 15" steel wheel, really?,a core charge on a wheel?! Overcharged me at that, according to their pricelist on their website.oh yeah, and another 3 bucks or something for inventory fee or some bs like that, and 3 bucks just to get in. A very disappointed customer
It's not a bad place. They have an online inventory for anyone to check to see if they have the car they are looking for. And they have a price list online as well. I do not know why people are looking for excellent customer service at a junk yard... it's a salvage/junkyard.. some of their prices are a bit too high but that's why I check their price list online first and compare.
Found every part I was looking for.
why would anyone not rate this place with the very highest of stars, I have been there more than once and the people who wait on you take the time to do what they can to help you, and friendly man I don't know if i could handle all the different customers like they do. and parts wow I have found everything i need to fix up my 2001 expedition because I'm old and cant afford another one. give them a try and i believe you will see what i mean. Thanks
This place way over charges! Went in to get 4 junk wheels (nothing nice just the spare steel wheel) and tires that did not hold air and they wanted to charge us $189.00! If you look online it shows (under wheel and tire sets) $21.00 and some change plus a $4.50 core charge. But after you put in the work of finding what you need and taking it off they tell you that isn't the right price. The tire is listed under "casing" and the wheel is somewhere under steel wheel and they are charged separately even if it is junk they are selling you. The online pricing is so messed up I don't know how they stay in business! When you try to talk to them about the price you found online the person checking you out just acts like she doesn't know what you are talking about so another person had to explain the messed up pricing! I will not ever go back to this place I will just stick to Pull-A- Part. At least there I can count on the pricing listed and a more personable staff.
I was in there and there was a man yelling and talking very rude to a employee I asked who he was and they told me his name was Raymond The employee name was Debbie That man should not be running a business This place has gone down hill stay away this place don't have phones so I can't call on him
Great place to get parts!! Inventory changes often and I have never not found something I could use.
RUDE! customer service. $3 admission is higher than other places. They charged $25 for electric EGR valve which you can get for $12 at Pull-A-Part okc. Unless that old lady on register change her rude attitude, one star.
by the time you pay for core entrance fee and spend a lot time finding part prices are going to be high
Prices are getting too high. Core charges on ridiculous stuff. Selection of trucks suck.
I came in from shawnee and stoped signed the papper and paid 3.00 and found most of the parts on the ground came in to pay and I had some old parts from my old car that is long gone and they were. Old and no good and they tried to say I stold them I told them they were my old parts and they said there were sines on the wall the man never asked if his employees ever checked my bag I wouldn't ever go back for nothing in the world I have been a peracher for.over 15 years and I have been treated like this ever in my life and all had is look at the. Tape from there their cameras from the video they record so they are very unprofessional I wouldn't do any business with them ever again and I am getting an attorney. also
Broke my part I bought went back in to get another and was able to exchange. And all around good service.
Prices are to high for used parts that may or may not work, counter staff are rude.
Lousy service, good selection
Lady that answers calls for parts pricing is ridiculously rude and hung up on me.
Excellent customer service
You should think about letting people use the bathroom instead of letting ONLY certain people use the reg. bathroom and making others use the porta potty - ITS RUDE and inconsiderate - My daughter was able to use the regular bathroom thankfully because i guess she was pregnant but her HUSBAND had to use the porta potty and you wouldn't let him use the reg. bathroom so he had to WALK to use the bathroom. That was really RUDE ! You did it to another guy that was also there as well.
Good place
It sucked and way overpriced
They need to tell people about their winter hours and they close the door at 4:25
The worst place that we've ever done business with. Thanks to the manager Raymond Miller, we will not be doing business with this establishment any longer. It does not deserve the one star Google makes us give in order to leave a review.
Very helpful.
Great place helps out alot.
3x the price to get in vs Pull A Part. Would not listen to what the part was at the counter, so a $2.50 (pull a part price) air box lid cost $10, immediately threw my receipt in the trash. Did not even ask if I wanted it. Poor selection of 99-06 full size GM anything. I will NEVER come back to this place. Do yourself a solid and drive a few more miles. Lower prices with roughly the same inventory right down i40.
CALLED 2 TIMES GAVE ME THE SAME PRICE BOTH TIMES. THEN AFTER I GOT THERE PAID THE 3 DOLLAR BS ENTRY FEE WALKED TO THE BACK OF THE LOT WHERE GM PRODUCTS ARE. WENT TO PAY FOR IT NOW THE PRICE WENT FROM $30 TO $60 THE EMPLOYEE EVEN ADMITED THEIR PRICES DONT MATCH THE WEBSITE, AND LAST WEEK THEY TOOK DOWN THE POSTER THAT HAD PRICES ON THEIR WALL BECAUSE DIDN'T MATCH WHAT THEY WERE CHARGING. THIS IS CALLED PRICE GOUGING.
Overpriced aluminium rim that was bent from curb damage. And a dry rotted tire. $75 bucks. The guy at the counter seemed like he didnt want to help me with the order.
Some good parts more than other places. Ridiculous the price went up and they dont have a monthly admission. Too bad they cant write mileage and more information about each car
Horrible help at checkout, didn't know what parts were what and wouldn't take my phone number for their app to get discounts in the future. Will stick to Pull A Part.
Bring your tools
unprofessional front desk, very disrespectful, wont ever go back
Bought a battery for my jeep. Great service
Pretty good place to get parts. And parts are pretty cheap. The down fall with it which is why it got 4 instead of 5 as stars is they lag on the internet with inventory, if you want to know if they have a particular vehicle you have to call the number, as it goes to there call center and there call center knows what is in the yard. But when the vehicle I'm looking for is there I am able to get the parts I need and I find some plus other stuff that I always find useful.
Good, but next time I will find the parts car before carrying my tools all over the yard
12/22/18, the young white kid at the counter today was making up his own prices today. I asked him about the price list and he said they were changing the prices and that’s what it was. I left the parts at the counter. I could go buy new for what he wanted. It’s too bad, because they usually treat you better than this.

Good prices. Sometimes the workers don't know what the parts are and it takes longer to check out than if they were knowledgeable.
Lots of searching for what I needed. It's a junk yard. Don't have high expectations.
Easy to navigate. FRIENDLY. HELPFUL. Military discount 15%. Best salvage yard I have ever been to. Quality parts. EXCELLENT prices.
Idk what they are doing . their prices are starting to get high .. Almost twice as much as pull a part
I like it
Good prices
Prices way to high !! Core charges for parts don't even have cores at parts stores . They buy theese vehicles at local auctions and local junkers for 150.00 to 300.00 . Place is a joke . Only good thing is short blond haired lady is nice rest of staff is lot of getto crack heads very rude website is not up to date .do yourself a favor go to PULL A PART 1 dollar entry fee parts alot cheaper parts and and lot less core charges .
LKQ is the place to find the parts you need. Some of their prices are a bit high BUT the thing that offsets their prices is the 30 day exchange or your money back policy (provided you have the original receipt). Check em out!
Whatever the phone message says about closing time they close 30 min before that time. I'm not joking. $3 to walk there yard. I love fighting the traffic after showing up 6 min after they close when the phone message told me 6pm summer hours . Not happy about this
The car's are never where they say they are on their website. I spent more time searching for them than pulling parts. Also the prices are a little high sometimes just as much as a new part, but if you need a part like a drive shaft that costs $400 new then you can pick one up for $50. You have to be careful and shop around to make sure you are getting a good enough deal for your trouble. They will also try to rip you off, exercise caution when dealing with them. For instance, I bought shoulder harness belts from them for my Jeep, & the "lady" @ the counter tried to charge me for the buckles separate. She kept insisting they were "lap belts", & not included in the harness assembly. After arguing for 30 min I left without the buckles & called their cooperate office, who confirmed that they were trying to rip me off. I went back to discover that they had thrown my buckles away! I had to dig in a junk pike for an hour & only found 3 out of 4 buckles. They would not refund my money for the incomplete harness. Shady place, be careful.
