They are always nice when I go there. They unload for me and everything. Staff is friendly. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that they advertise All Metals, but they actually do not take vegetable type cans, and also wont take some types of fencing, so that's really not ALL metal. But overall, good people, good way to get a few bucks when you are struggling a little.

Awe im just browsing reviews to see who has decent prices . BUT I already love this place because the owner actually reads and responds to all reviews so sweet . Lol but never been here I don't think but will make a point to tell my husband where to go in the future

I called the guy about some prices. I was very polite and ask him if he could repeat one of the prices. he was very rude and said (like I said just a freaking second ago .78 cents a pound.) he didn't need to be rude to me a lot of the other places around there are very polite and very professional not the guy running that place though.

I just called this place to inquire weather not they take Cadillac converters and asked what their price was, and was told there was too many variables and could not give me an answer I asked what the variables and he hung up on me. If the bearer of variables consist of of make model type age or whatever he could have just said so and I've been content with that answer but no instead he hung up on me I don't believe that is good customer service and I don't believe that anybody you should call and be hung up on when they're calling about business.

Won't be back!! Website said closed at 12:45, got there 11:55, followed directions on sign, pull up to stop sign and wait for attendant, waited for several minutes, watched girl come out of trailer, tell another employee to close down line. Employee finally came and told us they couldn't help us because they were closing small scale early. Read past review that complained of closing early, response from owner stated problem was fixed and they would take nonferrous material until 12:30. We drove an hour, just to waste our time and our gas.

Most of the staff working outside are very nice, and the prices are fair. the only issue that i have with this place is the big guy at the window he is very rude and he always tosses stuff in the little slot, like the I.D. and my money. i will not go back to this place until that ungrateful slob is gone!

I've been going to Al's for nearly 2 years and have never once been even remotely disappointed. They are always informative and have always done their best to get you in and out quickly. Jerry, in the front office, is a great guy and always has a smile on his face. As far as I'm concerned, there is no other scrap yard in okc. Say hello to Fluffy the cat when you go into the office. When my truck was stolen it had a bed full of copper so I called every metal place in the area and asked them to be on the lookout. I get a call from al's telling me they have a similar truck but tags didn't match and asked me to describe the stickers on the back windshield. It turned out to be my vehicle and the amazing staff stalled the thieves for long enough to have police arrive. And they were arrested and my truck returned to me. Al's went out of their way to check when they had absolutely no obligation to call me and ask. I can't say just how amazingly their staff reacted and approached the matter. I will definitely be a life long customer!!!

Took a truckload of metal for recycling. A huge box of copper pots and pans, which they didn't list as copper , they had it as brass. They said the handles we're brass so they count as brass. Set of 3 copper bowls with little circle handles, these were solid copper,....they said the handles are brass. What a rip-off......They made out like bandits on that I'll never go there again...NEVER. Guess cause I'm an old lady the acted that way. Ripped off and learned my lesson. A truckload of metal and I got $141.00...

I build smokers and wood burners in my spare time. Als recycler has the best selection and well organized scrap metal, barrels, drums, tanks, angel iron etc for easy selection than anyone else. No need to go through dangerous piles of scrap metal, they have it all organized for easy and safe selection. It's a metal hobbiest "paradise". The employees are very friendly, if you don't see what you need they'll find it if they have it. Prices are crazy low. Thanks AL for saving me a lot of money with my hobby.

My wife went there I don't know if the catalytic converters where just not the good ones and the muffler either but got 4 for 2 cats and one big muffler plus some pipe and then called and if I understood right the guy said something about 5 and up so don't know what happened read the reviews and figured they would be good to go to guess not

They guys are great!! Helpful, friendly, etc. I've scrapped steel, iron, car batteries, Christmas lights, electric motors, old wire, even an old gas grill! I would much rather recoup a couple bucks, then have all this stuff go to the landfill. I have a pile of stuff at the house ready for my next trip to Al's.....

Man I don't know where all these five star reviews come from they must not have been to any other scrap yard in the city I went there they do not pay on different grades like number one or number two copper they have one price for each metal and it's a low price not saying that anybody was rude to me but I'm saying that for what I was going to scrap there they were going to offer me like $13 I ended up going absolute and getting 58 dollars for my number one wire I don't know if such a price difference is satisfactory for most of their customers but it's not for me I knew that since they paid only one price for any type of metal instead of grating it high or low that it would be much more profitable to go to metal check or absolute recycling I recommend absolute they really cool there and pretty close to Al's and they pay high and low grade so if you've got number 1 Copper ( I even think that they paid less than what number 2 grade was going for at other places)your going to get far more than Al's I know the staff at Al's reads these reviews and you really need to pay on different grades of metals I really don't know how you have gotten all these good reviews you must have a good base in the area that you're in that do not Shop prices around maybe you pay more on Steel or maybe you by your reviews but you guys are wrong and by far the lowest paying scrap yard I've ever been to and I've been to all of the scrap yards in the city

I work for company that does a lot of recycling, I go to different ones for different things, but this is only yard I don't worry about ruining a tire,most of these yards have crap every where that you have to drive thru, not this one, in and out fast , everyone very help full !!!

There people need to learn how to drive. One was all over 44 going east bound, speeding, swerving, slamming on his breaks, tail gateing. I saw him starting at MacArthur and he terrified me I thought he could have been drunk and if I could have gotten to my phone easily I would have called the cops. This was just before 3:00 on 03/01/19

I don't know where people think that they have great prices but they suck. They lied about the weight that I had by about 300 lbs. and they didn't pay me nothing. Never will go back to them or any other sub station again. Remember people that they sell to the scrap metal place on High St. May have to wait a little longer but if you want good money for your work go there. I have to give 1 star because it won't post unless I do. No stars from me.

I had 2 mid pipes with catalytic converters from a couple of mustang's I previously owned. They had been in my shop for years. I figured I'd go ahead and take them in. Well, Als website says to call for current pricing. So I called. The guy that answered wasn't interested in giving me a price as he said I'd have to bring them in for pricing. Fine, whatever. So I show up and they say I have to provide proof of ownership. Says that's the law. Well, that would have been great information to provide over the phone before my 30 mile trip. So, prices may be good, but customer service is terrible. Ended up just throwing the converters in the trash.

I have been a customer for a long time. And I have sold tons of copper to them. The guys outside always have been polite and well customer oriented. However my last visit was the worst. I got unloaded by the guys outside. But when I went inside the guy behind the window asked me about my master license in order to take my copper but my license was expire for a couple of months which I understand it’s part of protocol however he was down talking to me like I was there asking for a favor. Every customer should be treated with respect. It took a lot from me to keep my self professional and under control. as Busines owner I know the importance of good customer service and He needs to learn it. I’ll never go back there While he’s still employed there. It’s unfortunate that a business so well established have someone like him in a such of CustomerCare sensitive position like that.

At some point I had made a phone call that I had a problem with. I tried again today and they had improved their professionalism. I came here to edit the review to positive. Good guys up at the scales. I saw that they were kind to one of the homeless fellows scrapping his cans. They seem to be honest. I gave them an honesty test today with some odds and ends I had laying around. They matched my scale at home to near exactness on some Copper, Aluminum, Brass, and Lead batteries. I never said that the honesty test was why I was there. They were quick for a scrap dealer for someone with only 20 pounds to get rid of, which I appreciated. I try to leave detailed reviews for businesses worth dealing with so you know what to expect. They only have one guy on the phones I think, and he is the same guy who works the drawer- so that explains why he gets cross if the conversation lasts too long(He has to do 20 things at once). Nice guy once I met him. I get it now.

This was our first time here and we were treated well. I had called ahead to check their price on aluminum cans and to verify they accepted them. They definitely accept ALL metals. With the exception of needing proper paperwork/ID for some metals, this was an easy process. The staff was professional and courteous outside. After 20 years of working in the customer service industry, I was impressed. We had been needing to get rid of our aluminium cans for about a year and ended up with 100 pounds. I was quoted .36 cents a pound when I called earlier and that's EXACTLY what we recieved. We'll definitely be back with ANY of our future metal recycling needs.
