I had the driver’s side window taped shut with Gorilla tape and I had to fill up the radiator every day. The oil leaked and I needed tires. So why was I hanging on to this Corolla 200K on it. My wife finally convinced me it was time to let go. So I called NYC Car Donation. I was glad to see that they would take it and whatever they could make would go to help someone. Why drive around with a for sale sign on a beat up car. Make a junk car donation.

If you have an old car or truck, do not waste time putting it on Craigslist to try to get a few hundred bucks. Do the right thing and call NYC Car Donation and helps kids around the world. That is what I did, but only after learning the hard way that selling an old car is more hassle than it is worth. I put mine in the local paper, online and parked it with signs and received no interest at all. NYC Car Donation took it away for free and gave me a receipt for a charitable tax deduction.

Once I realized that I was never going to have the time to repair and restore the old Pontiac that had sat in my yard for what seemed like forever, I called NYC Car Donation. The car actually ran and I had been starting it regularly for a long time. When the flatbed showed up at my home. I showed the driver the junk car donation. He told me that this was the first Pontiac Grand Am he had ever picked up. He said they were becoming scarce. Not because they did not make many, because they were all dead. He took the car anyway and gave me a receipt for my accountant. I was very happy knowing my car would go for a good cause.
