Terrible, awful person. As a woman I never been terribly disrespected with a place of business. Pretty sure it was the owner, which still doesn’t excuse the behavior and mannerism I received. This is the worst service i ever had, i called to ask for a part but before i finished my sentence the lady said blurted out something while i was still asking my question. i asked what she said and she blurted out again with a thank you and hung up on me. saying thank you and hanging up on someone dont make you friendly, it makes you rude and gives the company a bad taste.

I've been bringing my cars here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Service is prompt and friendly and above all the scales are honest. You can see your weight and that's rare among scrap yards.

A rip off in my opinion! Just toke a old mini van made of mostly metal and only got 185 dollars. A couple years ago I took a car to Plakos and got much much more cash for it. I was told the price for metal has dropped in worth. I don't think it's dropped that much! I don't recommend taking your old car to Plakos if you think you'll make out better than other places or even the numbers all around town saying they'll give you 300 dollars for your old car. Oh well never again.

PLAKOS Scrap has been in business for soooo many years, it’s fascinating how well the business is run because they are ALWAYS BUSY! Yet somehow manage to provide every customer with their undivided attention. I’ve gone someplace else ONCE and didn’t feel valued as a customer because I wasn’t a regular customer. Which is why my go to Scrap Yard is PLAKOS , it speaks volumes about a business when the continue to provide consistent customer service and have always offered the BEST prices. I’ve junked several cars with Plakos and come here for a variety of reasons like recycling batteries or just getting rid of miscellaneous metals during Spring cleaning. Initially as a female I expected to be taken advantage of especially because I was not knowledgeable with the process of dealing with a junk yard. Each transaction was positive experience and I always know when I call ahead to come into PLAKOS I am not wasting my time. I’ve referred many friends to PLAKOS and they’ve also had positive experiences. They offer flexible hours and truly value the business every customer brings from the regular, every now and then, or one timer!
