I can't say enough about Nick at Orthodox. I called Nick up last week to acquire some cars for training that we do at the Phila Fire Academy. Mind you, I had never spoken to the man before that day. I explained what we needed, and that we were a little pressed for time. Not only did he donate a couple of cars for us to train with, he had them there about an hour after I got off the phone with him. The driver Ernie was professional and courteous. Great post, I buy and sell junk cars also in my spare time and I earn a little money on the side. The price per pound is at 6 Cent a pound here in Georgia, I only pay 100$ per car and take them to the crusher and make about 150$ profit. That sure helps out when I average about 4 cars per week, thank God.

I call and ask if they have a radiator bottle for my jeep liberty. I was told they have a few of those cars with the bottle still in them. I drove 45 minutes to get to them just to be told by the same guy that they might have one but he doesnt have a guy to pull it out of the car. never going back again. they tell me they have it on the phone and i can get it today but then im told they might have it but it wont matter if he doesnt have someone to pull it out when i get there. taking my money elsewhere

I can't stress enough how grateful I am to Orthodox Auto. After my car was totaled due to a black-ice incident, I was hard pressed to find anywhere that would pay more than a few hundred. Even the dealership where I bought my new car wouldn't let me trade it in. I had a very good experience with this company. I called needing to sell my old car and I have to say that I spoke with probably the most accommodating and nicest business people I can think of. All of the arrangements were made that morning and before the day was over my car was picked up and I was given a good price for it. They also rent cars (although I haven't used it since I needed an 8 passenger vehicle) but the gentleman I spoke with (Al, I think his name is) was also very nice and informative. The rates he gave are good too. I would 100% recommend this company.

I called Rick in a very difficult situation. My car was parked on the lot of a gas station in Philly. It was pretty much damaged beyond repair, no way to drive it. We discussed his towing it, and he offered me a fair price for it. I called the gas station, and they were having it towed into the city impound. To save me this great expense and aggravation, Rick arranged for a tow truck to be out there in one hour. It was, and I received the check in payment. Orthodox and Rick were absolutely amazing! I would recommend this company to anyone. I had to reschedule a few times because my car was blocked in by a city truck and Rick was very patient with me and helped me reschedule every step of the way. Looking for a transmission and I'm getting pricing from 600.00 to 750.00 Orthodox wanted for the same trans- 1,400.00 WOW talk about soaking someone that is what they want to do, they want triple from others. Heck almost any shop will totally rebuild my transmission for that kind of money and then I have new not a used junk yard trans I don't know what I'm getting. I'd suggest you look elsewhere!!!

Orthodox Auto Company has been a pleasure to work with! We wanted to "smash" a car for charity as part of an event at the University of Pennsylvania, and the company has been monumental in helping us provide the car to the Penn Vet Working Dog Center. Orthodox truly cares about the environment, going insofar as to remove all the dangerous components of the car (fluids, engine, transmission, glass, etc.) for the safety of our students and the search & rescue dogs who will use the car for their training. Out of the many, many car companies we reached out to about our charity event, they were the only ones who were so kind to agree to donate the car. It is certainly not your average car company. Additionally, all of their vehicles are salvaged and recycled, which is important to us as a group that cares about the environment. Not only is Orthodox good in this sense, but they have a great selection of parts suitable for innumerable car models. After having worked with them, I highly recommend Orthodox Auto Company!

I had an old junker that needed to be towed. Called orthodox, they were so pleasant. called on on Frday, they picked up on Saturday. So considerate the owner called me in Saturday morning to give an expected time, and then later that afternoon called me to see how it went. The tow driver was excellent. A beautiful experience.

My 95 Dodge that I've had for 14 years wasn't worth repair after the head gasket blew. Called around to see what it was worth. Rick was kind, understanding and patient and quoted a fair price. He said that he would schedule a tow truck to come to me the next day and I got a call from him 1st thing to advise me tow was on the way. Driver was quick and professional and had my check for the agreed amount. I would suggest that you not waste your time with others in this salvage business and go straight to Orthodox!

Every single time I call this place and mention a part that's not super expensive, they just say "no sorry nothing here". Last time I went down their anyways and they had all I needed and more. Why they told me they didn't litterally seconds after I asked when they did I have no idea. Maybe they dislike money. I'm taking my business elsewhere from this day forward.

Totally meant to write a review when I sold my Subaru to them last year (they gave me the best offer, SUPER easy to work with during a stressful time and walked me through anything I was unfamiliar with.) I bought an engine from Orthodox, I've been trying to get a replacement since the day it was installed! Replacement (that I was supposed to pick up) was sent to a garage. Ever since I've got lip service and ignored! I bought their "GOLD WARRANTY" which obviously isn't worth anything! This has been going on since Thanksgiving! I've had to spend rapidly approaching $1000 to repair an engine with a "GOLD WARRANTY! What a joke... I guess my next step is to find the local court and sue! Or see if Harry Hairston from channel 10 can get anything out of them? SAVE YOURSELF, BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! If I could give less

the worst salvage yard I ever dealt with, advertised a 2001 trans for a BMW with 90,000 miles. trans came in cracked. had to send another. took them 2 weeks to send another one. sent it to the wrong address. had to pay for the installation and removal of the first trans. cost 436.00 they offered me 150.00. I should not have to pay for their mistake. the second trans is having trouble have to take it back to repair man. Told them before the 30 day warranty expires. will have to pay to have one put in again. probably have around 4,000.00 invested before it's done and still having problems

Honestly I think these reviews are all made up. I called them this morning about scraping a 2000 Mercedes Benz 230C. They offered me $200.00 for scrap. I said I wanted to take the battery out since it was brand new and cost me $200.00. They said then it will be $175.00 unless I had an old battery I could throw in the back seat because they pay by weight. I said I don't have an old battery and the very rude man on the line said well you know what. We honestly don't want your car. I deal in the car business every day. This is the most rude person I have ever met in the business. Had to give them one star to post this but they don't deserve even that.
