I had called Beacon on Thursday.. unfortunately we had closed up our Freehold location Toys R Us ... explained that the company the liquidator called never showed and we needed to vacate the next day. Beacon dropped a container for our metal in less then an hour!!! Also picked up the very next day just in time to vacate. Thank you for making a difficult time for us easier! Recommend 100%

This place has only one benefit sometimes they help me unload. Otherwise go ANYWHERE else. They randomly close so you may have to sit there for an hour. Other places give much better prices.

Beware! Yeah their scale may be accurate per law of weights and measurements, but their noted weights on their tubs and carts are overstated. I went in there with 111 pounds of brass. They loaded the tub on a cart and total weight was 161 pounds. The cart and tub were marked 71 pounds total which brought my weight to 90 on the receipt. I told the guy to reweigh the tub only. He gave me attitude. The end result was 109 pounds of brass. Basically the tub was 2 lbs off and the cart was severely overstated in it's weight by 19 pounds. I have not been back for two years since this happened. Make sure you weigh your stuff before you go as recycling are high profit industries and the above is why.

In response to the bad reviews that our company has recieved, I would like to inform the public that these accusations are not true. * All non ferrous materials are unloaded by Beacon Metal staff, all ferrous materials are unloaded by customer in designated area of yard. * We do not close for random hours, we take a 15 minute break in the morning, 30 minute break for lunch, and 15 minute break in the afternoon. Both of our locations are open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. * We pride ourselves on accurate weights and dependable service. * Our prices are always competitive, if not higher then the competition. Just remember, "the price you get paid, is just as important as the weight you get paid for." Always know what you have no matter where you sell your scrap. We service over 2,000 satisfied customers per week. We hope these poor reviews don't discourage any potential customers. Thank you
