Half a star if I could do it. Cajoled someone with a pick-up truck into giving me a ride down to the Reno, NV location at 5th and Valley this morning - along with my nearly 100 pounds of aluminum cans - because the "Schnitzer Steel Reno" website SPECIFICALLY listed aluminum beverage cans under the "What We Will Accept" heading. Got down there only to be told "oh, we don't take cans." When I told the attendant that's not the information given on the web page, all he had to say was "Uh, I have no idea what the web site says...but we don't take cans." Thanks alot for NOTHING, Schnitzer. Time to check what your site says - you're misleading people who are least able to "just roll with it."

Rude. Cheap prices . Usually get $1.5 per pound. Told 64 cents. Asked why so low was told you can always take it back. Not like I could go to many places either

The Gentleman was very helpful. I really don't know to much about scraping. But the Man handling the copper and brass area was very kind and patient. Not sure if pricing was accurate as again I'm not familiar with the industry.

worst scrap yard in town. i brought in a cast aluminum transmission an they said they would only take it as tin... unbelievable...

Only place in Reno where you can bring your "scrap" metal in in a shopping cart. Hey, if you still have your battery saw-zall on the cart, No PROBLEM! After a long night of recycling, (tweaking?) Who wants to have to swing by your house and drop the saw off? Or if you have a matching set of 4 aluminun wheels, with no damage, just taking up a lot of room in your shopping cart, this is the place for you! 5 stars all the way!

Every time I've gone this year I have received an extremely underpaid amount for my haul.

Fast service. I pre weigh all my metal and they have always been accurate never ripped me off . Schintzer seems to be a great company. I've left Happy 90 percent of the time. Plan to increase my business with them dramatically in the future. Bottom line is they pay the best prices for my metal.
