This is the most dishonest and unprofessional company I have ever experienced! My nightmare w/ them began on April 6th 2015 when I purchased a used transmission for my car from them for $486.45. It turned out to be no good and found that out only after my mechanic had spent hours putting it in my car. I called them right away (2 days later) when I became aware that I was sold a broken transmission to inquire about exchanging it for one that works. Their policy is stamped on my receipt stating "NO CASH REFUNFDS exchange or credit only 10 days to return core or void warranty," I was told nothing but lies and excuses every time I called them in addition, I not once ever received a courtesy call from them throughout this whole ordeal to keep me informed of the status of my request, instead it was up to me to make the calls to them several times a week. The 1st time I talked w/ them I was told that there wasn't anymore transmissions available. So I waited some time and called them back to see what they could do. I was then told by Gary that a transmission was available but that the current hold up was their tow truck was broken and was unable to retrieve the transmission. Once the truck had been fixed I called again and now I was told there wasn't any transmissions and I was deffered for a few more days. I called again and again but each time was told that Gary was not there and to call back. At some point I got in touch w/ Gary and I asked if I could just get my money back since he could not keep his part of his own policy which was to exchange my product for one that works. He informed me that he would have to check w/ his supervisor who happened to be on vacation for the Memorial Holiday weekend. Meanwhile I had no way to get myself to work or children to school. After the holiday weekend had passed I called them once again and still no word on getting a refund or an exchange. I called again and was then told that a transmission would be available the very next day. So I called the next day and still no transmission. A week later a transmission was there but I was told it was no good and had cracks all down the middle. So here I am June 13th over 2 months later and still without a transmission that works or my money back. I am so frustrated with this company and especially w/ Gary who I believe is the owner but pretends he's not so he doesn't have to answer any questions and can continue to keep putting customer off and delaying problems they created. This place does bad business. All they had to do was refund me my money back since they did not provide me a valid product. But instead they want to be dishonest, greedy, and not put their customers first. I will be also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and am currently working w/ an attorney to get all my money back from Main Gate Auto Wrecking, LLC junk yard.
